1 Yense yozumina kuti Jesu nji Kiresite u pepwetwe ku zwilila kwa Ireeza. Mi yense yosaka isi muntu usaka mwana yo pepwetwe ku zwa kwali.
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Messiah, is born of God. And whoever loveth the begetter, loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 Chobuti twizi kuti tusaka bana ba Ireeza: hatu saka Ireeza niku panga intaelo zakwe.
And by this we know, that we love the children of God, when we love God, and follow his commandments.
3 Mokuti ili njilato lya Ireeza: kuti tubike intaelo zakwe. Mi intaelo zakwe kazilemi.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
4 Mukuti yense yopepetwe kuzwilila kwa Ireeza u koma inkanda. Mi ichi njikuwina kukoma inkanda: intumelo yetu.
Because, whoever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.
5 Njeni yozo yokoma inkanda? Iye yozumina kuti Jesu Mwana wa Ireeza.
For who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Uzu njiyena yabakezi cha menzi ni malaha: Jesu Kiresite. Kanabezi bulyo chamenzi, kono chamenzi ni malaha.
This is he who came by the water and the blood. Jesus the Messiah; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit testifieth; because the Spirit is truth.
7 Mukuti kwina botatwe bena bupaki:
For there are three that testify in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
8 Luhuho, menzi, ni malaha. Izi zotatwe zina mwintumelelano.
And there are three witnesses, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are in union.
9 Heva tuwana vupaki vwa vantu, vupaki vwa Ireeza vukando. Vushupi vwa Ireeza njovu, chava hi vupaki ku amana za mwana kwe.
If we receive the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God? And this is the testimony of God, which he hath testified concerning his Son.
10 Yense yo zumina mu Mwana Ireeza iye mwine wina vushupi mwali. Yense yasa zumini Ireeza chava mupangi kuti uchenga, kakuli ka zumine vupaki vwa hele Ireeza ku amana za Mwana kwe.
Whoever believeth in the Son of God, hath this testimony in himself. And whoever believeth not God, hath made him a liar, by not believing the testimony which God hath testified concerning his Son.
And this is the testimony, that God hath given to us life eternal, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Iye yo wina Mwana wina vuhalo. Iye ya sena Mwana Ireeza kena vuhalo.
Every one that taketh hold of the Son, taketh hold of life; and every one that taketh not hold of the Son, hath not life.
13 Niva miñoleli izi zintu ku chitila kuti mwi zive kuti mwina vuhalo vusa mani - kwenu inywe muzumina mwi zina lya Mwana a Ireeza. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye have life eternal, ye who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Mi hape, iyi nji nkutwisiso itwina nayo ha vusu vwakwe, kuti hatu kumbila chonse kuya ke ntato yakwe, utu zuwa.
And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that whatever we ask of him, agreeably to his will, he heareth us.
15 Mi hape, heva twizi kuti utu zuwa - chonse chi tumu kumbila - twizi kuti twina chonse chitu va kumbili kwali.
And if we are persuaded that he heareth us respecting what we ask of him, we are confident of receiving presently the petitions which we asked of him.
16 Heva yense uvona mwake na panga chivi chisa leteli ifu, u swanela ku lapela, Mi Ireeza mwa muhe vuhalo. Nita kwavo zivi zavo kazi leteli ifu. Kwina chivi chi leteza ifu; kani ti kuti uswanela ku lapelela zezo.
If any one shall see his brother sin a sin which doth not deserve death, he shall ask, and life will be given him, to them I say who sin not as unto death. For there is a sin of death; and I do not say of this, that a man should pray for it.
17 Vonse vufosi chivi, kono kwina zivi zisa leteli mafu.
For all iniquity is sin; and there is a sin which is not of death.
18 Twizi kuti yense yo pepwetwe kuzwa kwa Ireeza kena chivi. Kono iye ya va pepwa kuzwa kwa Ireeza umu vuluka ke ntokomelo. Mi iye muvilala ka woli kumu tenda vuvi.
And we know, that every one who is born of God, sinneth not: for he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.
19 Twizi kuti tuzwa kwa Ireeza, Mi twizi kuti lyonse ifasi li wila kozo muvilala.
We know, that we are of God; and all the world is reposing on the evil one.
20 Kono twizi kuti Mwana we Ireeza avezi mi ava tuhi inkutwisiso nji kuti twizive uzo we niti. Mi hape, twina mozo wa vuniti, mu mwana kwe Jesu Kirisite. Njiye Ireeza we niti ni vuhalo vusa mani. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us knowledge that we might know the True One; and that we might be in the True One, in his Son Jesus the Messiah. He is the true God, and the life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
21 Bana, muli zwise kuzi swaniso.
My children, keep yourselves from idolatry.
