Zechariah 12

An oracle. This is the message of the Lord about Israel. The Lord who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the human spirit within people says:
2 “Nga fah oru acn Jerusalem in oana sie cup in wain. Mutanfahl su raunella elos ac fah nim kac ac tukulkul oana mwet sruhi. Ac ke elos ac utyak ac raunela in mweuni acn Jerusalem, na siti lula lun Judah nukewa ac fah rauniyukla pac.
Look! I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness for all the surrounding peoples. There will be a siege of Jerusalem.
3 Tusruktu in pacl sac, nga ac fah oru tuh acn Jerusalem in oana sie eot toasr — kutena mutunfacl su srike in srukak eot sac ac fah sun ongoiya lulap. Mutunfacl nukewa fin faclu ac fah toeni in mweunel.
On that day that I will make Jerusalem a stone to be lifted up by all the peoples. All who lift it up will surely hurt themselves! And all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
4 In pacl sac nga ac fah aklangingye horse natulos nukewa, ac oru tuh mwet kasrusr fin horse uh in wella. Nga ac karingin mwet Judah, tusruktu nga fah konela mutun horse nutin mwet lokoalok lalos.
On that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness. But over the house of Judah I will keep watch, though I strike every horse belonging to the peoples with blindness.
5 Na sou lulap lun Judah fah fahk nu selos sifacna, ‘LEUM GOD Kulana El sang ku lal nu sin mwet lal su muta Jerusalem.’
And the chieftains of Judah will say to themselves, “The strength of the inhabitants is in the Lord of hosts their God.”
6 “Ac in pacl sac nga fah oru sou lulap lun Judah in oana sie e lulap insak uh, ku in sie ima in wheat ma matula — elos ac fah kunausla mutunfacl nukewa ma raunelosyak. Ac mwet Jerusalem ac fah muta na misla in siti uh.
In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire in the woods, like a torch among sheaves, they will devour right and left all the surrounding peoples. But Jerusalem will abide on its own site.
7 “Nga, LEUM GOD, fah sang kutangla nu sin mwet mweun lun Judah meet, tuh akfulat ma fwilin tulik natul David oayapa akfulat ma mwet muta Jerusalem uh ac eis, fah tia yohk liki ma acn saya lun Judah ac eis.
And the Lord will first give victory to the tents of Judah, so that the glory of the house of David, and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not exalted above Judah.
8 Ke pacl sac LEUM GOD El ac fah loango mwet su muta in Jerusalem, ac oru tuh finne mwet munas oemeet inmasrlolos in fah ku oana kuiyal David meet. Fwilin tulik natul David ac fah kololos oana lipufan lun LEUM GOD, aok, oana God sifacna.
In that day the Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the feeblest among them will in that day be like David, and the house of David like God, like the messenger of the Lord before them.
9 In pacl sac nga fah kunausla mutunfacl nukewa su srike in mweuni Jerusalem.
And in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations who have come up against Jerusalem.
10 “Nga fah nwakla fwilin tulik natul David ac mwet saya in acn Jerusalem ke ngunin pakoten ac ngunin pre. Elos ac fah ngetang liye el su elos tuh fakisya ah misa, ac elos fah asor kacl oana elos su asor ke tulik sefanna natu. Elos fah arulana tungi, oana elos su wounse mukul natu uh misa.
And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of pity and compassion. They will look on him whom they have pierced and they will lament for him as one laments for an only son. They will bitterly grieve for him as one grieves for the firstborn.

In that day mourning will be as great in Jerusalem as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
12 Mwet in facl sac ac fah srisrielik in oru asor lalos: mukul in sou lal David ac fah sifacna oru asor lalos, ac mutan kialos fah sifacna oru pac asor lalos; mukul in sou lal Nathan fah sifacna oru asor lalos, ac mutan kialos fah sifacna oru pac asor lalos;
And the land will mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves, and the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves,
13 mukul in sou lal Levi fah sifacna oru asor lalos, ac mutan kialos fah sifacna oru pac asor lalos; ac mukul in sou lal Shimei fah oru asor lalos, ac mutan kialos fah sifacna oru pac asor lalos.
and the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves, the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves,
14 Ac sou nukewa su lula, kais sie fah sifacna oru asor la, ac mutan kialos fah sifacna oru pac asor lalos.”
and all the families who are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.
