< Rome 3 >

1 Na mea, oasr ma ac wo nu sin mwet Jew yohk liki mwet saya uh? Ya oasr sripen kosrala?
What, then, is the advantage of being a Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?
2 Aok, arulana yohk na pwaye, in ouiya nukewa! Ma se meet, God El tuh sang kas lal nu sin mwet Jew.
Much in every way. First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
3 Tusruktu fuka, kutu selos fin tia oaru nu ke kas lal? Ya kalmac pa God El ac tia pac oaru?
What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?
4 Tia ku! God El pwayena, finne mwet nukewa mwet kikiap. Oana ke Ma Simusla fahk, “Suwohs lom ac fah kalem ke kas lom; Ke pacl kom orek nununku, suwohs uh ac fah ma lom.”
Certainly not! Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that You may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You judge.”
But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.
6 Tiana ku! God El fin sesuwos, El ac nununku faclu fuka?
Certainly not! In that case, how could God judge the world?
7 Tusruktu fuka fin orekma sesuwos luk pa oru mwet uh in arulana akfulatye wolana lun God, ke sripen suwoswos lal kalemla liki meet? Efu ku ngan srakna nununkeyuk oana sie mwet koluk?
However, if my falsehood accentuates God’s truthfulness, to the increase of His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?
8 Na efu kut tia tari fahk mu, “Lela kut in oru ma koluk, tuh ma wo uh in sikyak”? Pwaye lah kutu mwet uh akkolukyeyu ac fahk mu nga kaskas ouinge! Elos ac fah eis lusla, fal nu ke ma elos oru.
Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say, “Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved!
9 Na fuka, ya kut mwet Jew wo liki mwet in mutunfacl saya? Mo, kut tiana wo lukelos! Nga akkalemye tari lah mwet Jew ac mwet saya uh tukenina muta ye ku lun ma koluk.
What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin.
10 Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk: “Wangin sie mwet suwohs ye mutun God,
As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.
11 Wangin mwet kalem ke ma suwohs, Wangin mwet suk God.
There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
12 Elos nukewa forla liki God; Elos nukewa tafongla; Wangin sie mwet oru ma suwohs, tiana sie.
All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
13 Kaskas kutasrik lalos kolla mwet nu ke misa; Kikiap sulallal sroma fin lohulos, Ac kas in aksangeng tuku liki oalulos, oana pwasin tuku liki oalin serpent;
“Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The venom of vipers is on their lips.”
14 Sramsram lalos sessesla ke kas in selnga na koluk.
“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 Elos sa na in akkeokye ac uniya mwet;
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Yen nukewa elos fahsr we, elos kunausla acn ac sang ongoiya nu sin mwet.
ruin and misery lie in their wake,
17 Elos tia etu inkanek in orek misla inmasrlon mwet,
and the way of peace they have not known.”
18 Ac elos tia pac etu in sangeng sin God.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 Inge kut etu lah ma nukewa ma sapkinyuk in Ma Sap uh ma na nu selos su muta ye Ma Sap, tuh in tulokinya kas in laflafu nukewa lun mwet, ac oru tuh faclu nufon in nununkeyuk sin God.
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
20 Tuh wangin mwet aksuwosyeyuk ye mutun God ke sripen el akfalye Ma Sap. Pwayena ma Ma Sap uh oru pa in akkalemye nu sin mwet uh lah elos orekma koluk.
Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.
21 Na inge, God El fahkak tari nu sin mwet uh inkanek lal in aksuwosyelos ye mutal. Tiana ma ke ma sap, finne Ma Sap lal Moses ac mwet palu elos tuh orek loh kac.
But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the Law and the Prophets.
22 God El aksuwosye mwet uh nu sel ke lulalfongi lalos in Jesus Christ. El oru ouinge nu sin mwet nukewa su lulalfongi ke Christ, mweyen yorol wangin srisri:
And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,
23 mwet nukewa orekma koluk, ac elos nukewa tia sun lupan wolana se ma God El akoo nu selos.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 A ke lungkulang lun God su El ase ke wangin molo, mwet nukewa aksuwosyeyuk ye mutal ke Christ Jesus, su aksukosokyelosla.
and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
25 Ac God El eisalang Christ, tuh ke sripen misa lal fin sakseng, mwet uh fah ku in eis nunak munas ke ma koluk lalos ke elos lulalfongi in el. God El oru ouiya se inge in fahkak suwoswos lal. In pacl meet ah, El tuh mongfisrasr ac sifacna sulela Elan tia lohang nu ke ma koluk lun mwet uh.
God presented Him as the atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, in order to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand.
26 A in pacl inge El lohang nu ke ma koluk lalos, in akkalemye suwoswos lal. Ouinge El sifacna fahkulak lah El suwoswos, ac lah El aksuwosye mwet nukewa su lulalfongi ke Jesus.
He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 Na mea kut ku in konkin kac? Wangin! Ac efu? Ya kut ku in fahk mu mweyen kut akos Ma Sap? Mo! Ma na ke sripen kut lulalfongi.
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of works? No, but on that of faith.
28 Tuh kut etu tari lah sie mwet el aksuwosyeyuk yurin God ke lulalfongi mukena, ac tia ke el oru ma sapkinyuk in Ma Sap.
For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
29 Ku mea, God El God lun mwet Jew mukena? Ya El tia God lun mwet sayen mwet Jew an pac? Aok, El God pac lalos.
Is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
30 Oasr God sefanna, ac El ac aksuwosye mwet Jew ac oayapa mwet sayen mwet Jew ke lulalfongi lalos.
since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
31 Na fuka — kalmen ma inge pa ke sripen lulalfongi se inge kut ac sisla Ma Sap? Mo, tia ouinge; a kut akkeye Ma Sap.
Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Certainly not! Instead, we uphold the law.
