< Rome 11 >

1 Na nga siyuk: Ya God El sisla mwet lal sifacna? Mo, tia ku in ouingan! Nga sifacna nga sie mwet Israel, sie mwet in fwilin tulik natul Abraham, ac sie sin mwet in sruf lal Benjamin.
I say then, did God reject his people? May it never be. For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 God El tiana sisla mwet lal, su El nuna sulela ke mutawauk ah me. Kowos etu kas in Ma Simusla ma fahk ke Elijah el kwafe sin God lain mwet Israel.
God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says about Elijah, how he pleaded with God against Israel?
3 El fahk, “Leum, elos onela mwet palu lom nukewa ac kunausla loang lom; nga mukena pa lula sin mwet palu uh, ac elos suk pac in uniyuwi.”
“Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have broken down your altars. I alone am left, and they are seeking my life.”
But what does God's answer say to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bent the knee to Baal.”
Even so then, at this present time also there is a remnant because of the choice of grace.
But if it is by grace, it is no longer by works. Otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
What then? The thing that Israel was seeking, it did not obtain, but the chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened.
8 Oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk, “God El oru elos in folosuwosla — elos nikanulosla ac wangin ma elos pula; nwe misenge elos tia ku in liye ku lohng.”
It is just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of dullness, eyes so that they should not see, and ears so that they should not hear, to this very day.”
9 Ac David el fahk, “Finsrak in sruoh elos, ku srifusryuki elos ke kufwa lalos; Finsrak elos in ikori; lela elos in akkeokyeyuk!
Then David says, “Let their table become a net and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
10 Lela mutalos in lohsrla tuh elos in koflana liye, Ac fintokolos in foingyak pacl nukewa.”
Let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and bend their backs continually.”
11 Na nga siyuk: Ke mwet Jew elos tukulkul, ya elos ikori ac koflana sifil tuyak? Mo! Ke sripen elos oru ma koluk, pwanang molela tuku nu sin mwet sayen mwet Jew, tuh in oru mwet Jew in sok selos.
I say then, “Did they stumble so as to fall?” May it never be. Instead, by their failure, salvation has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.
Now if their failure is the riches of the world, and if their loss is the riches of the Gentiles, how much greater will their completion be?
But now I am speaking to you Gentiles, and as long as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry.
14 Sahp nga ac ku in oru mwet srahk sifacna in sok, na ke sripuk God El ac molelosla.
Perhaps I will provoke to jealousy those who are of my own flesh. Perhaps we will save some of them.
15 Tuh ke pacl God El ngetla liki mwet Jew, mutanfahl saya uh elos iweyukla nu sin God. Ac fah oana sie mwet misa su sifil moulyak!
For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
16 Ipin bread se oemeet uh fin itukyang nu sin God, na lof nufon soko ac ma pac lal; ac okan sak soko fin itukyang nu sin God, lesak kac uh ac ma pac lal.
If the firstfruits are reserved, so is the lump of dough. If the root is reserved, so are the branches.
17 Kipatla kutu lesak ke soko sak olive, na lesak se ke sak olive wet soko kupasryang in aolla. Kowos oana lesak ke sak olive wet uh; ac inge kowos ipeis ke moul lun sak olive sacnsan soko ah.
But if some of the branches were broken off, if you, a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them, and if you shared with them in the rich root of the olive tree,
Kowos tia akkeye oka uh, a oka uh akkeye kowos.
do not boast over the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who supports the root, but the root that supports you.
19 Na sahp sie suwos ac fahk, “Aok, lesak uh kipatla in sakunla acn sik.”
You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.”
20 Pwaye. Lesak uh kipatla ke sripen elos tiana lulalfongi, ac kowos kupasryang ke sripen kowos lulalfongi. Tusruktu nik kowos fulatak insiowos kac; a kowos in sensen.
That is true. Because of their unbelief they were broken off, but you stand firm because of your faith. Do not think too highly of yourself, but fear.
21 God El fin tia molela mwet Jew, su oana lesak na pwaye ke sak soko ah; ya kowos nunku mu El ac molikowosla?
For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.
22 Inge kut ku in liye luman kulang ac luman upa lun God. El upa nu selos su oru ma koluk, tusruktu El kulang nu suwos — kowos fin mutana ye kulang lal. A kowos fin tia, kowos ac fah kipatla pac.
Look at, then, the kind actions and the severity of God: severity came on the Jews who fell, but God's kindness comes on you, if you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
23 Ac mwet Jew fin sisla selulalfongi lalos, elos ac fah folokinyukyang nu yen elos muta we meet; mweyen God El ku in oru ouinge.
And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again.
24 Kowos mwet sayen mwet Jew, kowos oana luman sie lesak ke sak olive wet ma kipatla, na itukyang kowos nu ke soko sak olive sacnsan. Mwet Jew uh elos oana sak sacnsan soko ah, na kalem lah ac arulana fisrasr God Elan kapsreni lesak kipatla inge nu ke sropo lalos sifacna.
For if you were cut out of what is by nature a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into a good olive tree, how much more will these Jews, who are the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree?
25 Mwet lulalfongi wiuk, oasr sie ma pwaye su tia eteyuk kac meet, ac inge nga lungse kowos in etu kac, tuh ac fah karingin kowos liki nunak in nunku mu kowos lalmwetmet. Ma se inge pa: inse upa lun kutu sin mwet Israel ac tia ma nwe tok, a ac fah oanna nwe ke pacl se mwet sayen mwet Jew nukewa tuku nu yurin God, fal nu ke pisa se El nuna pakiya.
For I do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, of this mystery, in order that you will not be wise in your own thinking. This mystery is that a partial hardening has occurred in Israel, until the completion of the Gentiles come in.
26 Na pa inge luman inkanek in molela nu sin mwet Israel nukewa. Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Mwet Lango ac fah tuku Zion me Ac eela ma koluk nukewa liki fwilin tulik natul Jacob.
Thus all Israel will be saved, just as it is written: “Out of Zion will come the Deliverer. He will remove ungodliness from Jacob,
and this will be my covenant with them, when I will take away their sins.”
28 Ke sripen mwet Jew elos pilesru Pweng Wo, elos mwet lokoalok lun God, ac ma inge tuh wo nu suwos, mwet sayen mwet Jew. Tusruktu ke sulela lun God, elos mwet kawuk lal ke sripen wuleang lal yurin papa matu tumalos.
As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake. But as far as election is concerned, they are beloved because of their forefathers.
29 Tuh God El tia ekulla nunak lal kaclos su El sulela ac su El akinsewowoye.
For the gifts and the call of God are unchangeable.
30 Ac funu kowos, mwet sayen mwet Jew; kowos tuh seakos God in pacl meet ah, a inge kowos eis pakoten sin God ke sripen seakos lun mwet Jew.
For you were formerly disobedient to God, but now you have received mercy because of their disobedience.
31 In ouiya sacna, ke sripen pakoten ma kowos eis, mwet Jew elos seakos God inge, in pwanang elos in mau eis pakoten lun God.
In the same way, now these Jews have been disobedient. The result was that by the mercy shown to you they may also now receive mercy.
32 Tuh God El oru mwet nukewa in mwet kapir ke sripen seakosten lalos, tuh El fah ku in fahkak pakoten nu selos nukewa. (eleēsē g1653)
For God has shut up all into disobedience, in order that he might show mercy on all. (eleēsē g1653)
33 Fuka lupan kasrpen lungkulang lun God! Fuka loaliyen lalmwetmet ac etauk lal! Su ku in aketeya oakwuk lal? Su ku in kalem ke inkanek lal?
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways beyond discovering!
34 Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Su etu nunak lun Leum God? Su ku in sang kas in kasru nu sel?
“For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has become his advisor?
Or who has first given anything to God, that God must repay him?”
36 Tuh El pa orala ma nukewa, ac El pa karingin ma nukewa, ac El orekmakin ma nukewa nu ke sripa lal. Fal in kaksakinyuk El ma pahtpat! Amen. (aiōn g165)
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
