< Psalm 9 >

1 [Psalm lal David] Nga fah kaksakin kom, LEUM GOD, ke insiuk nufon; Nga fah fahkak ke ma wolana nukewa kom orala.
For the Chief Musician. Set to “The Death of the Son.” A Psalm by David. I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvellous works.
2 Nga ac fah on ac engan ke sripom. Nga fah on ac kaksakin kom, tuh kom God Kulana.
I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
3 Mwet lokoalok luk elos folokla ke pacl ma kom sikyak; Elos putatla ac misa.
When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.
4 Kom suwoswos ac pwaye in nununku lom, Ac kom wiyu lac ke kom nununkeyu.
For you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.
5 Kom nununku lain mwet pegan Ac kom kunausla mwet koluk; Inelos ac fah tia sifil esamyuk.
You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 Mwet lokoalok lasr fah wanginla ma pahtpat, Tuh kom kunausla siti selos, Ac elos tiana sifil esamyuk.
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
7 Tusruktu LEUM GOD El tokosra ma pahtpat; El oakiya tron lal tuh in nien nununku.
But the LORD reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgement.
8 El leumi faclu ke suwoswos; El nununku faclu ke nununku suwohs.
He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgement to the peoples in uprightness.
9 LEUM GOD El nien molela nu sin mwet akkeokyeyuk, El nien wikla in pacl upa.
The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.
10 LEUM GOD, elos su etekom ac fah lulalfongi kom; Ac kom tia sisla kutena mwet su tuku nu yurum.
Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
11 Yuk on in kaksak nu sin LEUM GOD, su muta ac leum in Zion! Fahkak nu sin mutunfacl nukewa ma El orala.
Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion, and declare amongst the people what he has done.
12 God El esamulos su keok; El tia mulkunla tung lalos, Ac El kaelos su oru koluk nu selos.
For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 O LEUM GOD, pakoten nu sik! Liye mwe keok su mwet lokoalok luk elos oru nu sik! LEUM GOD, moliyula liki misa,
Have mercy on me, LORD. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death,

15 Mwet pegan elos sifacna pukanak luf se ac putatyang nu loac; Elos sruhu ke sruhf lalos sifacna.
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
16 LEUM GOD El sifacna akkalemyal nu selos ke nununku suwoswos lal, Ac mwet koluk elos sremla ke orekma koluk lun paolos sifacna.
The LORD has made himself known. He has executed judgement. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. (Meditation, Selah)
17 Misa pa saflaiyen mwet koluk nukewa, Aok, elos nukewa su ngetla liki God. (Sheol h7585)
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)
18 Mwet enenu ac fah tia mulkinyuklana nwe tok, Ac finsrak lun mwet sukasrup ac fah tia pilesreyuk nwe tok.
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Fahsru, LEUM GOD! Nikmet lela kutena mwet in ku liki nununku lom! Use mwet pegan nu ye motom Ac orala nununku lom nu selos.
Arise, LORD! Don’t let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight.
20 Oru tuh elos in sangeng, O LEUM GOD; Oru tuh elos in etu lah elos mwet sukawil moul la.
Put them in fear, LORD. Let the nations know that they are only men. (Selah)
