< Psalm 83 >

1 [Psalm lal Asaph] O God, nik kom misla, Nik kom sukas ac tia sramsram.
A Song, a Melody of Asaph. O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
2 Liye! Mwet lokoalok lom elos alein, Ac elos su srungakom elos orek fohs.
For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
3 Elos orek pwapa lukma in lain mwet lom; Elos pwapa in lainulos su kom karingin.
Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
4 Elos fahk, “Fahsru, lela kut in kunausla mutunfacl selos, Tuh inen Israel in mulkinyukla nwe tok.”
They have said—Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
5 Elos insese ke pwapa lalos Ac tukeni orala oakwuk se in lain kom.
For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against thee—a covenant, would they solemnize—
6 Elos mwet Edom ac mwet Ishmael, Mwet Moab ac mwet Hagar,
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
7 Mwet Gebal, Ammon ac Amalek, Ac mwet Philistia ac Tyre.
Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
8 Mwet Assyria oayapa welulosyang, Elos arulana asruoki ku nu sin mwet Ammon ac mwet Moab, su ma in fwil natul Lot.
Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Oru nu selos oana kom tuh oru nu sin mwet Midian, Ac nu sel Sisera ac Jabin sisken Infacl Kishon.
Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;
10 Kom kutangulosla in acn Endor, Ac manolos kulawi fin fohk uh.
They perished at En-dor, They become manure for the soil!
11 Oru nu sin mwet kol lalos oana kom tuh oru nu sel Oreb ac Zeeb. Kutangla mwet kol lalos nukewa, oana ma sikyak nu sel Zebah ac Zalmunna,
Make them—their nobles—like Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
12 Su tuh fahk, “Acn inge, su ma lun God, Kut ac eisla lasr.”
Who said—Let us take a possession for ourselves, The pastures of God!
13 O God, siseloselik oana kutkut — Oana kulun wheat su ukukla ke eng uh.
O my God, make them, As whirling [dust], As chaff before a wind;
14 In oana ke e uh esukak insak uh, Ac furreak eol uh,
As a fire burneth a forest, —And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
15 Ukwalosyak ke paka lom, Ac aksangengyalos ke eng upa lom.
So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest, —And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
16 O LEUM GOD, afinya mutalos ke mwekin, Ac oru tuh elos in akfulatye ku lom.
Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
17 Lela elos in kutangyukla ac sangengla nwe tok. Lela misa lalos in sie mwe mwekin lulap.
Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
18 Lela elos in etu lah kom mukena pa LEUM GOD— Kom pa Leum fulatlana fin faclu nufon.
That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
