Psalm 73
1 [Psalm lal Asaph] Pwaye God El kulang nu sin Israel, Aok, nu selos su nasnas insialos.
A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a pure heart.
2 Tusruktu apkuran nga in fuhleak, Ac lulalfongi luk apkuran in wanginla.
But as for me, my feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped;
3 Ke nga liye wo ouiya nu sin mwet koluk, Nga srangesroayak kaclos.
For I was envious at the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.
4 Elos tia pula ngal, Manolos ku na ac fokoko.
For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished;
5 Elos tiana keok oana kutu mwet uh, Ac elos tia wi pulakin mwe lokoalok su sun mwet saya.
They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like [other] men:
6 Arulana kalem filang lalos oana soko ah in walwal, Ac sulallal lalos oana nuknuk elos nukum.
Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them [as] a garment;
7 Insialos sessesla ke nunak koluk, Ac nunkalos kafofo ke sukyen pwapa sulallal.
Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:
8 Elos isrun mwet ngia, ac kaskas ke ma koluk, Elos inse fulat ac elos pwapa in akkeokye mwet saya.
They mock and speak wickedly of oppression, they speak loftily:
9 Elos kaskas koluk ke God inkusrao, Ac sap keke nu sin mwet fin faclu ke inse fulat lalos.
They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Oru, finne mwet lun God, elos forang pac nu selos, Ac lulalfongi ma nukewa elos fahk.
Therefore his people turn hither, and waters in fulness are wrung out to them.
11 Elos fahk, “God El tia ku in etu; El su Fulatlana tia ku in konauk!”
And they say, How can God know, and is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 Pa inge ouiyen mwet koluk uh. Pus ma lalos, ac pacl nukewa fisrasrna elos in sifilpa konauk kutu.
Behold, these are the wicked, and they prosper in the world: they heap up riches.
13 Mea pwaye lah wanginna sripa ke nga srike in moul nasnas Ac tia oru kutena ma koluk?
Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency:
14 O God, kom akkeokyeyu len nufon; Ke lotutang nukewa kom kaiyu.
For all the day have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15 Nga fin fahk kain kas inge, Na ma nga oru uh ac oana ngan tia sie sin mwet lom.
If I said, I will speak thus, behold, I should be faithless to the generation of thy children.
16 Nga srike in nunku ke ouiya se inge Tuh arulana upa nga in kalem kac,
When I thought to be able to know this, it was a grievous task in mine eyes;
17 Nwe ke nga som nu in lohm mutal sin God. Toko nga fah kalem kac lah mea ac sikyak nu sin mwet koluk uh.
Until I went into the sanctuaries of God; [then] understood I their end.
18 Kom ac fah fuhlelosi in acn musresre, Ac oru tuh elos in putatyang nu in ongoiya lulap.
Truly thou settest them in slippery places, thou castest them down in ruins.
19 Elos sa na in kunausyukla, Ac saflaiyalos elos ac misa ke misa na koluk.
How are they suddenly made desolate! they pass away, consumed with terrors.
20 Elos oana sie mweme su wanginla ke lotutang. Ke kom tukakek, O Leum, na elos wanginla.
As a dream, when one awaketh, wilt thou, Lord, on arising despise their image.
21 Ke nunak luk uh upa Ac insiuk keok,
When my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins,
22 Nga lalfonla oana soko kosro, Ac nga tia ku in kalem ke nunak lom.
Then I was brutish and knew nothing; I was [as] a beast with thee.
23 Tusruktu, nga apkuran nu yurum pacl e nukewa; Ac kom sruokya pouk.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand;
24 Kom kolyu ke oakwuk lom, Ac tok kom fah eisyu nu yurum ke sunak.
Thou wilt guide me by thy counsel, and after the glory, thou wilt receive me.
25 Mea pac nga fah enenu inkusrao sayom? Ac ke kom oasr yuruk, mea pac nga enenu fin faclu?
Whom have I in the heavens? and there is none upon earth I desire beside thee.
26 Sahp nunak luk, ac monuk, ac munasla, Tusruktu God El ku luk; El mukefanna pa nga enenu.
My flesh and my heart faileth: God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
27 Pwayena lah elos su siskomla elos ac fah tuhlac; Kom fah kunauselosla su tia pwaye nu sum.
For behold, they that are far from thee shall perish; thou destroyest every one that goeth a whoring from thee.
28 A funu nga, fuka woiya ke nga apkuran nu sin God, In konauk molela yurin LEUM GOD Fulat, Ac in fahkak ma nukewa El oru!
But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, that I may declare all thy works.
