Psalm 53

1 [Psalm lal David] Mwet lalfon elos fahk insialos, “Wangin God!” Elos nukewa koluklana, Ac elos oru ma na srungayuk; Wangin sie selos oru ma suwohs.

For the leader. On mahalath. A maskil of David. Fools say in their heart, “There is no God.” Vile, hateful their life is; not one does good.

2 God El muta inkusrao ac ngeti nu fin mwet uh In liye lah oasr mwet lalmwetmet, Ku oasr mwet alu nu sel.

From heaven God looks out on humans, to see if any are wise, and care for God.

3 Tusruktu, elos nukewa kuhfla liki inkanek pwaye; Mwet nukewa oana sie ke koluk lalos. Wangin sie selos oru ma suwohs, Tia siefanna.

But all have turned bad, the taint is on all; not one does good, no, not one.

4 God El siyuk, “Ya elos tia etu? Ya pwaye mwet orekma koluk inge nukewa wangin nanka? Elos moulkin ma elos pisre sin mwet luk, Ac elos tiana pre nu sik.”

Have they learned their lesson, those workers of evil? Who ate up my people, eating, devouring, never calling to the Lord.

5 Tusruk elos ac fah arulana tuninfongla Yohk liki ke kutena pacl somla, Ke sripen God El ac fah sisalik srin mwet lokoalok lun mwet lal. God El siselosla, Ke ma inge Israel ac fah arulana kutangulosla.

Sore afraid will they be, where no fear was; when God scatters the bones of the godless people. They will be put to shame, when God rejects them.

6 Nga arulana pre tuh kutangla In tuku nu sin mwet Israel Zion me. Ac fuka lupan engan lun mwet Israel Ke God El ac sifilpa akkasrupyalos!

If only help from Zion would come for Israel! When God brings his people a change of fortune, how glad will be Jacob, and Israel how joyful!
