< Psalm 52 >
Lungkulang lun God uh oan nwe tok.
To the Overseer. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of Doeg the Edomite, and he declareth to Saul, and saith to him, 'David came in unto the house of Ahimelech.' What, boasteth thou in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God [is] all the day.
2 Kom suk inkanek in akkolukye mwet saya. Loum oana sie resa kosroh. Kom kinauk kikiap in pacl nukewa.
Mischiefs doth thy tongue devise, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.
3 Kom lungse ma koluk yohk liki ma wo, Ac ma sutuu yohk liki ma pwaye.
Thou hast loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. (Selah)
4 Kom lungsena akngalye mwet ke kas lom, kom mwet kikiap!
Thou hast loved all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 Ke ma inge God El ac fah kunauskomla nwe tok; El ac fah sruokkomi ac tulakinkomla liki lohm sum; El ac fah moklekomla liki facl sin mwet moul.
Also — God doth break thee down for ever, Taketh thee, and pulleth thee out of the tent, And He hath uprooted thee Out of the land of the living. (Selah)
6 Ke mwet suwoswos elos ac liye ma inge elos ac fah sangeng; Na elos ac fah isrun kom ac fahk,
And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.
7 “Liye, pa inge sie mwet su tia suk kasru sin God, A el lulalfongi na ke mwe kasrup yohk lal sifacna, Ac suk moul misla nu sel ke inkanek in sulallal.”
'Lo, the man who maketh not God his strong place, And trusteth in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.'
8 A funu nga, nga oana soko sak olive su kapak in lohm sin God; Nga ac lulalfongi ke lungse kawil lal nwe tok.
And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, To the age and for ever,
9 Nga ac fah kulo nu sum pacl nukewa, O God, ke orekma lom; Ye mutun mwet lom Nga ac fah fahkak tuh kom wo.
I thank Thee to the age, because Thou hast done [it], And I wait [on] Thy name for [it is] good before Thy saints!
