Psalm 5

1 [Psalm lal David] Porongo kas luk, O LEUM GOD, Ac lohng sasao luk.

For the Chief Musician, with the flutes. A Psalm by David. Give ear to my words, LORD. Consider my (meditation)

2 Lohng pusren tung luk ke nga pang nu sum, O God luk ac tokosra luk! Nga pre nu sum, O LEUM GOD.

Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for I pray to you.

3 Kom lohng pusrek ke lotutang, Ke faht uh takak nga oru pre luk Ac soano top lom.

LORD, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.

4 Kom tia sie God su insewowo ke ma koluk, Ac kom tia lela mwet koluk in muta yurum.

For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can’t live with you.

5 Kom tia lela mwet enum in kaskas in tu ye motom, Ac kom srunga mwet koluk nukewa.

The arrogant will not stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity.

6 Kom kunausla mwet nukewa su kaskas kikiap Ac kom kwase mwet akmas ac mwet sulallal.

You will destroy those who speak lies. The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7 Tuh ke sripen lungse yohk lom Nga ku in utyak nu in lohm sum. Nga ku in alu in Tempul mutal sum Ac epasr nu sum ke nga sunakin kom.

But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house. I will bow towards your holy temple in reverence of you.

8 LEUM GOD, arulana pukanten mwet lokoalok luk! Kolyu tuh nga in oru ma lungse lom. Oru tuh in kalem sik inkanek lom nga in fahsr kac.

Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before my face.

9 Kas ma mwet lokoalok luk elos fahk, tia ku in lulalfongiyuk; Elos lungsena kunausla. Kas lalos emwem ac aklukuk, Tusruktu ma inge mwe na kolla mwet nu ke misa.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their heart is destruction. Their throat is an open tomb. They flatter with their tongue.

10 O God, sang mwatalos ac kaelos; Lela tuh pwapa koluk lalos in kunauselosla sifacna. Luselosyak liki ye motom Ke sripen ma koluk pus lalos Ac ke sripen elos lain kom.

Hold them guilty, God. Let them fall by their own counsels. Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.

11 A elos nukewa su konauk molela yurum fah enganak; Elos in on ac engan pacl nukewa. Karinganulosyang su lungse kom; Ke sripom elos arulana engan.

But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.

12 O LEUM GOD, kom akinsewowoyalos su akos kom; Lungse lom karinganulos oana sie mwe loeyuk.

For you will bless the righteous. LORD, you will surround him with favour as with a shield.
