Psalm 41

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” Happy is he who hath regard to the poor! The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; He shall be happy on the earth; Thou wilt not give him up to the will of his enemies!
3 LEUM GOD El ac fah kasrelos in pacl in mas lalos Ac akkeyalosla.
The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of disease; All his bed thou wilt change in his sickness.
4 Nga fahk, “Nga oru ma koluk lain kom, LEUM GOD; Pakomutuk ac akkeyeyula.”
I said, O LORD! be merciful to me! Heal me, for I have sinned against thee!
5 Mwet lokoalok luk elos fahk kas upa keik. Elos kena tuh nga in misa ac in mulkinyukla.
My enemies speak evil of me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
6 Elos su tuku liyeyu tia pwaye insialos; Elos porongo sramsram sutuu puspis keik Na elos som srumun yen nukewa.
If one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth malice; When he goeth abroad, he uttereth it.
7 Elos su srungayu elos mahma nu sin sie sin sie keik, Elos kinauk ma na koluk ac finsrak mu in sikyak nu sik.
All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise mischief:

“A deadly disease cleaveth fast unto him; He lieth down, and he shall never arise!”
9 Finne mwet kawuk na wowo luk, el su nga lulalfongi oemeet, Su wiyu ipeis ke mwe mongo nak, El forla likiyu.
Yea, my familiar friend in whom I trusted, who did eat of my bread, —He hath lifted up his heel against me.
10 Pakomutuk, LEUM GOD, ac akkeyeyula, Na nga fah foloksak nu sin mwet lokoalok luk.
But do thou, O LORD! have pity upon me; Raise me up, that I may requite them!
11 Elos ac fah tia kutangyula, Ac nga fah etu lah kom insewowo sik.
By this I know that thou favorest me, Because my enemy doth not triumph over me.
12 Kom ac kasreyu mweyen nga oru ma suwohs; Kom ac fah sruokyuwi yurum nwe tok.
As for me, thou wilt uphold me in my integrity; Thou wilt set me before thy face for ever!
13 Kaksakin LEUM GOD, God lun Israel! Kaksakunul inge ac nu tok ma pahtpat! Amen! Amen!
