Psalm 40

1 [Psalm lal David] Nga mongfisrasr in tupan kasru sin LEUM GOD, Na El porongeyu ac lohng tung luk.

For the Leader. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2 El ulyuyak liki sie lufin ongoiya, Liki fohk furarrar ac fulful ma ac ku in tulakinyuwi. El oakiya niuk fin sie eot wen Ac moliyula.

He brought me up also out of the tumultuous pit, out of the miry clay; and He set my feet upon a rock, He established my goings.

3 El lutiyu in yuk soko on sasu, Soko on in kaksakin God lasr. Mwet puspis su liye ma inge elos ac fah esmakla, Ac elos fah filiya lulalfongi lalos in LEUM GOD.

And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

4 Insewowo elos su lulalfongi LEUM GOD, Su tia forla nu ke ma sruloala Ku welulos su alu nu ke god sutuu uh.

Happy is the man that hath made the LORD his trust, and hath not turned unto the arrogant, nor unto such as fall away treacherously.

5 Kom oru ma puslana nu sesr, O LEUM GOD lasr; Wangin sie oana kom! Kom oru oakwuk wolana puspis nu sesr. Nga koflana srumun nufon — Arulana pusla!

Many things hast Thou done, O LORD my God, even Thy wonderful works, and Thy thoughts toward us; there is none to be compared unto Thee! If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be told.

6 Kom tia enenu mwe kisa ku mwe lung; Kom tia siyuk ke ma orakrak in kisakinyuk fon fin loang lom, Oayapa kom tia siyuk ke mwe kisa in eela ma koluk. A kom ase insrek tuh nga in ku in lohng kom.

Sacrifice and meal-offering Thou hast no delight in; mine ears hast Thou opened; burnt-offering and sin-offering hast Thou not required.

7 Ke ma inge nga fahk, “Nga inge; Mwe luti lom nu sik oasr in book in Ma Sap.

Then said I: 'Lo, I am come with the roll of a book which is prescribed for me;

8 Nga arulana lungse in oru ma lungse lom, God luk! Nga sruokya mwe luti lom insiuk.”

I delight to do Thy will, O my God; yea, Thy law is in my inmost parts.'

9 LEUM GOD, in walil lulap lun mwet lom Nga fahkak pweng wo ke molela lom nu sesr. Kom etu lah nga fah tiana tui in srumun ma inge.

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation, lo, I did not refrain my lips; O LORD, Thou knowest.

10 Nga tia sruokya pweng ke molela nu sik sifacna; In pacl nukewa nga sramsram ke oaru lom ac kasru lom. In walil lun mwet lom nga tiana misla in srumun Ke oaru lom ac lungse kawil lom.

I have not hid Thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared Thy faithfulness and Thy salvation; I have not concealed Thy mercy and Thy truth from the great congregation.

11 LEUM GOD, nga etu lah kom fah tiana tui in pakoten nu sik. Lungse ac oaru lom fah karinginyu in pacl e nukewa.

Thou, O LORD, wilt not withhold Thy compassions from me; let Thy mercy and Thy truth continually preserve me.

12 Mwe ongoiya puspis rauniyula — Pus liki ma ku in oekyuk! Ma koluk luk ukweyuwi nwe sunyu, Ac nga tila ku in liye; Ma inge pus liki aunsifuk, Na wanginla pulaik luk.

For innumerable evils have compassed me about, mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart hath failed me.

13 Kasreyu, LEUM GOD, moliyula inge!

Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, make haste to help me.

14 Lela tuh elos su srike in uniyuwi Elos in arulana kutangyukla ac akfohsyeyukyak. Lela tuh elos su engan ke mwe ongoiya nu sik In ukohkyak elos ac akpusiselyeyuk.

Let them be ashamed and abashed together that seek after my soul to sweep it away; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that delight in my hurt.

15 Lela tuh elos su isrunyu In arulana mangolngolla ke kutangyukla elos.

Let them be appalled by reason of their shame that say unto me: 'Aha, aha.'

16 Lela tuh elos nukewa su suk kom Elos in engan ac pwar. Lela tuh elos su kaksakin molela lom In fahk pacl nukewa, “LEUM GOD El fulatlana!”

Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; let such as love Thy salvation say continually: 'The LORD be magnified.'

17 O Leum, nga munas ac sukasrup, Tusruktu kom tiana mulkinyula. Kom God luk ac kom moliyula — Sulaklak kasreyu!

But, as for me, that am poor and needy, the Lord will account it unto me; Thou art my help and my deliverer; O my God, tarry not.
