Psalm 31

1 [Psalm lal David] Nga tuku nu yurum, LEUM GOD, in wikla yurum; Tia lela in kutangyukla nga. Kom sie God suwoswos; Nga pre nu sum tuh kom in moliyula!

For the Leader. A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, have I taken refuge; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness.

2 Lohngyu, ac moliyula inge! Kom in eot ku luk, yen nga in wikla we, Sie pot ku in loangeyu.

Incline Thine ear unto me, deliver me speedily; be Thou to me a rock of refuge, even a fortress of defence, to save me.

3 Kom nien wikla luk ac mwe loango luk; Pwenyu ac kolyu in oana wulela lom.

For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

4 Karinginyu liki mwe kwasrip akoeyukla nu sik; Lisringyuyak liki mwe ongoiya.

Bring me forth out of the net that they have hidden for me; for Thou art my stronghold.

5 Nga sifacna eisyuwot nu inpoum. Kom fah moliyula, LEUM GOD, Tuh kom sie God oaru.

Into Thy hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, O LORD, Thou God of truth.

6 Kom srungalos su alu nu sin god kikiap, A nga lulalfongi in kom.

I hate them that regard lying vanities; but I trust in the LORD.

7 Nga fah engan ac kaksak Ke sripen lungse kawil lom. Kom liye luman keok luk, Ac kom etu mwe ongoiya nu sik.

I will be glad and rejoice in Thy lovingkindness; for Thou hast seen mine affliction, Thou hast taken cognizance of the troubles of my soul,

8 Kom tia lela tuh mwet lokoalok luk in sruokyuwi; Kom ase sukosok nu sik in fahsr nu yen nga lungse fahsr nu we.

And Thou hast not given me over into the hand of the enemy; Thou hast set my feet in a broad place.

9 LEUM GOD, pakomutuk, Tuh nga muta in ongoiya; Mutuk fafwak ke tung luk; Nga arulana totola.

Be gracious unto me, O LORD, for I am in distress; mine eye wasteth away with vexation, yea, my soul and my body.

10 Nga foroti ke asor, Ac tung luk akfototoyela moul luk. Nga munasla ke sripen mwe akfohs puspis nu sik; Finne sri keik uh munasla pac.

For my life is spent in sorrow, and my years in sighing; my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are wasted away.

11 Mwet lokoalok luk nukewa, ac yokna mwet tulan luk, Elos orek angonkas nu sik; Elos su eteyu elos sangeng sik; Ke elos liyeyu inkanek uh, elos kaing.

Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, yea, unto my neighbours exceedingly, and a dread to mine acquaintance; they that see me without flee from me.

12 Mwet nukewa elos mulkinyula, oana nga in misa tari. Nga oana sie ma sisila.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like a useless vessel.

13 Nga lohng ke mwet lokoalok luk elos mahma; Mwe aksangeng rauniyula. Elos orek pwapa in lainyu, Ac suk in uniyuwi.

For I have heard the whispering of many, terror on every side; while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14 Tusruktu lulalfongi luk uh oasr in kom, LEUM GOD; Kom God luk.

But as for me, I have trusted in Thee, O LORD; I have said: 'Thou art my God.'

15 Moul luk nufon oan inpoum; Moliyula liki poun mwet lokoalok luk, Liki elos su akkeokyeyu.

My times are in Thy hand; deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16 Ngetnget in kulang nu sin mwet kulansap lom; Moliyula ke lungse kawil lom.

Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; save me in Thy lovingkindness.

17 Nga pang nu sum, LEUM GOD, Tia lela tuh nga in akmwekinyeyuk. Lela tuh mwet koluk in akmwekinyeyuk; Lela tuh elos in mislana som nu in facl sin mwet misa. (Sheol h7585)

O LORD, let me not be ashamed, for I have called upon Thee; let the wicked be ashamed, let them be put to silence in the nether-world. (Sheol h7585)

18 Kaliya oalin mwet kikiap — Elos su filang ac inse fulat, Su kaskas in akkolukye mwet suwoswos.

Let the lying lips be dumb, which speak arrogantly against the righteous, with pride and contempt.

19 Fuka yokiyen ma wo su kom elosak Nu selos su sunakin kom! Mwet nukewa etu lupan wo kom, Ac ouiyen karinginyuk ku lom nu selos su lulalfongi kom.

Oh how abundant is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee; which Thou hast wrought for them that take their refuge in Thee, in the sight of the sons of men!

20 Kom okanulosla yurum Liki pwapa koluk lun mwet; Ac in sie acn misla kom okanulosla Liki kas in akkoluk lun mwet lokoalok lalos.

Thou hidest them in the covert of Thy presence from the plottings of man; Thou concealest them in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21 Kaksakin LEUM GOD! Fuka lupan woiya ke El akkalemye lungse lal nu sik, Ke pacl mwet lokoalok luk rauniyula in mweuniyu!

Blessed be the LORD; for He hath shown me His wondrous lovingkindness in an entrenched city.

22 Nga tuh sangeng ac nunku mu El sisyula liki ye mutal. Tusruktu El lohng pusren tung luk Ke nga pang nu sel in kasreyu.

As for me, I said in my haste: 'I am cut off from before Thine eyes'; nevertheless Thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto Thee.

23 Lungse LEUM GOD, kowos mwet oaru lal nukewa, Tuh LEUM GOD El karinganang mwet oaru, A El arulana kaelos su filang.

O love the LORD, all ye His godly ones; the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully repayeth him that acteth haughtily.

24 Kowos in ku na, ac pulaik na, Kowos nukewa su oasr finsrak lowos in LEUM GOD.

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that wait for the LORD.
