Psalm 27
1 [Psalm lal David] LEUM GOD El kalem luk ac lango luk; Su nga ac fah sangeng se? LEUM GOD El pot ku nu ke moul luk, Su nga ac fah sangeng se?
A psalm of David. The Lord is my light and my saviour; whom then should I fear? The Lord protects my life; whom then should I dread?
2 Ke mwet koluk elos tuku in lainyu ac suk in uniyuwi, Elos tukulkul ac ikori.
When the wicked drew near to assail me and eat up my flesh, it was those who distressed and opposed me who stumbled and fell.
3 Finne sie un mwet mweun tuku rauniyula, Nga fah tiana sangeng; Finne mwet lokoalok tuku lainyu, Nga fah lulalfongi na God.
Though against me a host should encamp, yet my heart would be fearless: though battle should rise up against me, still would I be trustful.
4 Nga siyuk sin LEUM GOD ke ma se, Ac ma sefanna nga lungsik: Tuh nga in muta in lohm sin LEUM GOD in moul luk nufon, In liye kasrpen wolana lal, Ac in siyuk ke koko lal.
One thing have I asked of the Lord, and that do I long for – To live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the grace of the Lord and inquire in his temple.
5 In pacl in ongoiya, El fah lisringyuyak; El fah karinginyu in Tempul lal Ac oru tuh nga in moulla fin sie eot fulat.
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of misfortune. In his sheltering tent he hides me: he lifts me up on a rock.
6 Tuh nga fah kutangla mwet lokoalok su rauniyula. Nga fah orek kisa in lohm sel ke pusren engan lulap; Nga fah on, ac nga fah kaksakin LEUM GOD.
And now that my head he has lifted above my encircling foes, I will march round the altar and sacrifice, shouting with joy, in his tent, making music and song to the Lord.
7 Lohngyu, O LEUM GOD, ke nga pang nu sum! Pakomutuk ac topukyu!
Hear, O Lord, my loud cry, and graciously answer me.
8 Ke kom fahk, “Fahsru ac alu nu sik,” Na nga topuk, “Aok, LEUM GOD, nga ac fahsrot.”
My heart has said to you, ‘Your face, O Lord, I seek.’
9 Nikmet wikinkomla likiyu! Nikmet kasrkusrak sik; Nikmet supwala mwet kulansap lom liki kom. Kom nuna mwet kasru luk; Nikmet fahsr likiyu ku sisyula, O God, Mwet Lango luk.
Hide not your face from me, reject not your servant in anger: for you have been my help. Abandon me not, nor forsake me, O God of my help:
10 Sahp papa tumuk ac nina kiuk elos ku in sisyula, Tusruktu LEUM GOD El fah karinginyu.
for father and mother have left me; but the Lord will take me up.
11 LEUM GOD, luti nu sik ma kom lungsum tuh nga in oru, Ac kolyu ke inkanek wo lom, Mweyen pus mwet lokoalok luk.
Teach me your way, O Lord: lead me in an even path, because of my enemies.
12 Nikmet sisyula nu inpoun mwet lokoalok luk Su lainyu ke kas kikiap ac kas in aksangeng.
Give me not up, O Lord, unto the rage of my foes; for against me have risen false witnesses, breathing out cruelty.
13 Nga etu tuh nga fah moul ac liye Woiyen LEUM GOD in moul se inge.
Firm is the faith I cherish, that I, in the land of the living, will yet see the goodness of God.
14 Lulalfongi in LEUM GOD. Lulalfongi, ac tia fuhleak. Lulalfongi na in LEUM GOD.
Let your heart be courageous and strong, and wait on the Lord.
