Psalm 18
1 [Kas ma David, mwet kulansap lun Leum God, el tu onkakin nu sin Leum ke len se ma Leum God El molella lukel Saul a kutu pa mwet lokoalok lal.] Nga arulana lungse kom, LEUM GOD! Kom ku luk.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul; And he said: I love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2 LEUM GOD El eot ku luk, El nien wikla luk. God luk El mwe loeyuk luk, Ke nga muta yorol nga moul. El lisringyu oana sie mwe loeyuk; El loangeyu tuh nga in moul.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
3 Nga pang nu sin LEUM GOD, Ac El moliyula liki mwet lokoalok luk. Kaksakin LEUM GOD!
Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.
4 Mwe fosrnga lun misa apinyula, Ac noa lun kunausten toki nu fuk.
The cords of Death compassed me, and the floods of Belial assailed me.
The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of Death confronted me. (Sheol h7585)
6 In ongoiya luk, nga pang nu sin LEUM GOD; Nga pang nu sin God luk Elan kasreyu. In Tempul lal El lohng pusrek, Ac El porongo pusren tung in kwafe luk.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God; out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry came before Him unto His ears.
7 Na faclu rarrar ac usrusryak; Pwelung lun eol uh mukuikui ac kusrusrsrusr, Mweyen God El kasrkusrak.
Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations also of the mountains did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
8 Kulasr fofosryak liki infwacl. Sie e in kunausten ac mulut fol sikyak liki oalul.
Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
9 El ikaselik yen engyeng uh ac oatui Wi sie pukunyeng lohsr ye nial.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
10 El sohksok mui fin sie cherub, Ac eng uh okulla arulana mui, oana sohk lun sie won.
And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly; yea, He did swoop down upon the wings of the wind.
11 El nokmulla ke lohsr; Pukunyeng matoltol, su sesesla ke kof, raunella.
He made darkness His hiding-place, His pavilion round about Him; darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12 Af yohk kosra ac e firir Tuku liki sarom uh ye mutal Ac kunauselik pukunyeng lohsr matoltol uh.
At the brightness before Him, there passed through His thick clouds hailstones and coals of fire.
13 Na pusren LEUM GOD ngirla oana pusren pulahl inkusrao me, Ac pusren El su Fulatlana lohngyuk.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High gave forth His voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
14 El pusrukla pisr natul, ac akfahsryelik mwet lokoalok lal; Ke sarmelik lun sarom, El oru elos kaingelik.
And He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them.
15 Kapin meoa uh wanginla ma oan fac, Ac pwelung in faclu ikakelik, Ke kom mulat nu sin mwet lokoalok lom, O LEUM GOD, Ac ngirla nu selos ke kom kasrkusrak.
And the channels of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid bare, at Thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Thy nostrils.
16 LEUM GOD El saplakme lucngi ac sruokyuwi; El amakinyuyak liki inkof loal.
He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.
17 El moliyula liki mwet lokoalok kulana luk Ac lukelos nukewa su srungayu — Elos arulana kula nu sik.
He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
18 Ke nga muta in ongoiya, elos lainyu, Tusruktu LEUM GOD El loangeyula.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.
19 El eisyula liki mwe fosrnga; El moliyula mweyen El insewowo sik.
He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
20 LEUM GOD El ase lacnen orekma suwohs luk; El akinsewowoyeyu mweyen wangin mwetik.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
21 Nga akos na ma sap lun LEUM GOD; Nga tiana forla liki God luk.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 Nga karinganang ma sap lal nukewa; Nga tia seakos ma El sapkin.
For all His ordinances were before me, and I put not away His statutes from me.
23 El etu lah wangin ma sutuu luk, Ac lah nga sifacna taranyu tuh nga in tia oru ma koluk.
And I was single-hearted with Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Ke ma inge El ase lacnen orekma suwohs luk; Mweyen El etu lah wangin mwetik.
Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.
25 O LEUM GOD, kom oaru nu selos su oaru nu sum; Kom arulana wo nu selos su moul suwohs.
With the merciful Thou dost show Thyself merciful, with the upright man Thou dost show Thyself upright;
26 Kom nasnas nu selos su nasnas, A kom kwaselos su koluk.
With the pure Thou dost show Thyself pure; and with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself subtle.
27 Kom molelos su inse pusisel, Ac kom akpusiselyalos su inse fulat.
For Thou dost save the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes Thou dost humble.
28 O LEUM GOD, kom ase kalem nu sik; Kom sisla lohsr likiyu.
For Thou dost light my lamp; the LORD my God doth lighten my darkness.
29 Kom ase ku luk in lain mwet lokoalok luk, Ac akkeyeyu in fanyak ac sasla pot ku lalos.
For by Thee I run upon a troop; and by my God do I scale a wall.
30 God se inge — ma nukewa El oru arulana suwohs! Kas lal uh arulana fal in lulalfongiyuk! El oana sie mwe loeyuk Nu selos nukewa su suk molela sel.
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
31 LEUM GOD El mukena God; El mukena mwe molela nu sesr.
For who is God, save the LORD? And who is a Rock, except our God?
32 El pa God su oru tuh nga in ku, El oru inkanek luk in misla ac wo.
The God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way straight;
33 El oru falkuk in okak oana falken kosro deer; El karinginyu ke nga fahsr fineol.
Who maketh my feet like hinds', and setteth me upon my high places;
34 El akpahyeyu nu ke mweun, Tuh nga in ku in orekmakin mwe pisr kulana.
Who traineth my hands for war, so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
35 O LEUM GOD, kom karinginyu ac moliyu, Ac ku lom sruokyuwi in misla. Kasru lom akmwetyeyu.
Thou hast also given me Thy shield of salvation, and Thy right hand hath holden me up; and Thy condescension hath made me great.
36 Kom karinginyu tuh in tia sruhu nga, Ac nga soenna ikori.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
37 Nga ukwe mwet lokoalok luk ac sruokolosi; Nga tia tui nwe ke na nga kunauselosla.
I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
38 Nga srunglulosi ac elos tia ku in tuyak; Elos kutangyukla ac oan alapla ye mutuk.
I have smitten them through, so that they are not able to rise; they are fallen under my feet.
39 Kom ase ku luk in mweun, Ac se kutangla nu sik fin mwet lokoalok luk.
For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40 Kom oru tuh mwet lokoalok luk in kaing likiyu; Nga kunauselosla su srungayu.
Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, and I did cut off them that hate me.
41 Elos tung ac siyuk kasru, a wangin mwet molelosla; Elos pang nu sin LEUM GOD, a El tiana topuk.
They cried, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.
42 Nga itungulosi, ac elos ekla oana kutkut Su eng uh okla. Nga fotongolosi oana fohk furarrar inkanek uh.
Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
43 Kom moliyula liki mwet su lainyu Ac kom oru tuh nga in kol mutanfahl uh; Mwet su nga tia etu meet, inge elos orekma nu sik.
Thou hast delivered me from the contentions of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
44 Mwetsac elos epasr ye mutuk; Ke elos lohng pusrek elos akos.
As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the sons of the stranger dwindle away before me.
45 Pulaik lalos wanginla Ac elos rarrar ke elos tuku liki pot ku lalos.
The sons of the stranger fade away, and come trembling out of their close places.
46 LEUM GOD El moul! Kaksakin El su nien molela luk! Sulkakinelik pwengpeng lun God su moliyula.
The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation;
47 El ase kutangla fin mwet lokoalok luk; El akpusiselye mutunfacl su oan ye ku luk,
Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and subdueth peoples under me.
48 Ac moliyula liki mwet lokoalok luk. O LEUM GOD, kom ase kutangla nu sik fin mwet lokoalok luk, Ac moliyula liki mwet sulallal.
He delivereth me from mine enemies; yea, Thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
49 Ke ma inge nga kaksakin kom inmasrlon mutunfacl uh; Nga onkakin on in kaksak nu sum.
Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto Thy name.
50 God El sang kutangla lulap nu sin tokosra lal; El akkalemye lungse kawil lal nu sel su El sulela, Aok, nu sel David ac fwil natul nwe tok.
Great salvation giveth He to His king; and showeth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
