Psalm 140

1 [Psalm lal David] LEUM GOD, moliyula liki mwet koluk; Langoeyula liki mwet sulallal.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man:

Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

5 Mwet filang elos kena sruokyuwi; Elos oakiya mwe kwasrip lalos, Ac filiya sruhf pe inkanek uh in sruokyu.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way side; they have set gins for me. (Selah)

6 Nga fahk nu sin LEUM GOD, “Kom God luk.” LEUM GOD, porongeyu ke nga pang in suk kasru sum!

I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

7 LEUM GOD Fulatlana luk, ke ku lom Kom langoeyula in pacl in mweun.

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

8 LEUM GOD, nikmet sang nu sin mwet koluk ma lungse lalos; Nikmet akfahsrye pwapa koluk lalos.

Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; further not his evil device; [lest] they exalt themselves. (Selah)

9 Nikmet sang kutangla nu sin mwet lokoalok luk, Lela tuh ma koluk elos akoo nu sik in folokyang nu faclos.

As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10 Lela tuh mulut firir in putati faclos; Lela in sisila elos nu in luf loal ma elos tia ku in sifil illa liki.

Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

11 Lela mwet su kinauk kas sutuu ke mwet saya in tia akilenyuk, A ma koluk in ukweya na mwet sulallal ac kunauselosla.

An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12 LEUM GOD, nga etu lah kom loango sripa lun mwet sukasrup Ac orala nununku suwohs nu sin mwet enenu.

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the needy.

13 Pwayena lah mwet suwoswos elos fah kaksakin kom. Elos fah muta ye motom.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
