Psalm 12

1 [Psalm lal David] O LEUM GOD, kasrekut! Wangin sie mwet wo lula, Ac mwet suwoswos tia ku in sifilpa koneyukyak.

To the Overseer, on the octave. — A Psalm of David. Save, Jehovah, for the saintly hath failed, For the stedfast have ceased From the sons of men:

2 Mwet nukewa kikiap nu sin sie sin sie; Elos kiapu sie sin sie ke kaskas in aklukuk.

Vanity they speak each with his neighbour, Lip of flattery! With heart and heart they speak.

3 O LEUM GOD, kutongya loh ma kaskas in aklukuk inge, Ac kaliya oalin mwet filang su fahk mu,

Jehovah doth cut off all lips of flattery, A tongue speaking great things,

4 “Ke kas na lasr kut eis ma kut lungse. Kut ac fahk na ma kut lungse fahk, Ac wangin mwet ku in kutongkuti.”

Who said, 'By our tongue we do mightily: Our lips [are] our own; who [is] lord over us?'

5 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Inge nga ac fah tuyak, Ke sripen mwet enenu elos akkeokyeyuk, Ac mwet kalyeiyuk elos keoklana. Nga ac sang molela nu selos oana elos kena kac.”

Because of the spoiling of the poor, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now do I arise, saith Jehovah, I set in safety [him who] doth breathe for it.

6 Wulela lun LEUM GOD nasnas ac fal in lulalfongiyuk; Wulela lal nasnas oana silver Ma liklikiyuki pacl itkosr ke funyu in aknasnas.

Sayings of Jehovah [are] pure sayings; Silver tried in a furnace of earth refined sevenfold.

7 LEUM GOD, kom fah karinginkutme; Kom fah liyekutyang liki kain mwet inge.

Thou, O Jehovah, dost preserve them, Thou keepest us from this generation to the age.

8 Mwet koluk uh oasr yen nukewa Ac mwet nukewa kaksakinna ma koluk uh.

Around the wicked walk continually, According as vileness is exalted by sons of men!
