Psalm 10
1 O LEUM GOD, efu kom muta loesla? Efu kom wikinkomla liki kut in pacl upa nu sesr?
Wherefore, O Yahweh, shouldst thou stand afar off? [Wherefore] hide thyself, in times of destitution?
2 Mwet koluk elos filang ac akkeokye mwet sukasrup; Sruokolosi ke mwe kwasrip ma elos sifacna orala.
In the pride of the lawless one, he hotly pursueth the poor, let them be caught in the plots which they have devised!
3 Mwet koluk elos filangkin lungse koluk lalos; Mwet rapku elos fahk kas in selnga ac pilesru LEUM GOD.
For the lawless one hath boasted over the longing of his soul, and, the robber, hath blasphemed Yahweh.
4 Mwet koluk elos tia nunku ke LEUM GOD; Ke inse fulat lalos elos nunku mu God El wangin sripa.
The lawless one, in the loftiness of his countenance, will not enquire, God is not in any of his plots:
5 Mwet koluk elos eis wo ouiya in ma nukewa. Elos tia ku in kalem ke nununku lun God; Elos israsrinkusrai mwet lokoalok lalos.
His ways are firm at all times, On high, are thy righteous regulations, out of his sight, As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them:
6 Elos sifacna nunku insialos mu, “Kut fah tiana sun koluk ouiya; Kut fah tiana muta in ongoiya.”
He hath said in his heart, I shall not be shaken, —From generation to generation, shall I be in no misfortune.
7 Sramsram lalos sessesla ke kas in selnga, kas kikiap, ac kas in aksangeng; Elos sa in fahk kas koluk ma srungayuk.
With cursing, his mouth is full, and with deceptions and oppression, Under his tongue, are trouble and mischief:
8 Elos wikwik in siti srisrik, Ac soano in akmuseya mwet wangin mwata. Elos kasriki mwet munas;
He abideth in the lurking-place of villages, In the hiding-places, he murdereth the innocent, —His eyes, for the unfortunate, are on the watch:
9 Elos wikwik in nien wikwik lalos oana lion uh. Elos muta soano mwet sukasrup; Elos sruokolosi ke mwe kwasrip lalos ac amakunulosla.
He lieth in wait in a hiding-place, like a lion in his covert, He lieth in wait to catch the humbled, He catcheth the humbled, by drawing him into his net:
10 Mwet sulallal elos atuyang nu fin mwet munas Ac toasriyalos toanelosi na elos itungyuki oan.
He croucheth, he lieth down, then falleth he with his strong claws upon the unfortunate.
11 Mwet koluk elos sifacna nunku insialos, “God El pilesru ma inge! El kaliya mutal ac El tia ku in liye!”
He hath said in his heart, GOD hath forgotten, —He hath veiled his face, Oh he hath never seen!
12 O LEUM GOD, sang kaiyuk nu sin mwet koluk ingan! Esamulos su akkeokyeyuk!
Arise! Yahweh! O GOD! raise thy hand, —Do not forget the patient!
13 Fuka tuh mwet koluk uh ku in pilesru God Ac fahk insialos sifacna mu, “El ac fah tia kai kut”?
Wherefore hath the lawless one blasphemed God? He hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require [it]!
14 Tusruktu kom liye na. Kom akilen na ongoiya ac keok lun mwet, Ac kom akola in kasru pacl e nukewa. Mwet munas elos eisaloswot nu sum; Kom kasrelos su enenu in pacl e nukewa.
Thou hast seen! For, thou, mischief and misery, dost discern, to requite with thine own hand, Unto thee, doth, the unfortunate one, give himself up, To the fatherless, thou thyself, hast become a helper.
15 Kunausla ku lun mwet koluk ac mwet sulallal; Kaelos ke ma koluk elos oru Nwe ke elos tia sifil oru.
Shatter thou the arm of the lawless one, And, as for the wrongful, wilt thou not enquire for his lawlessness—wilt thou not find [it]?
16 LEUM GOD El tokosra nu tok ma pahtpat. Elos su alu nu sin kutena god saya Ac fah wanginla liki facl sin God.
Yahweh, is king, to times age-abiding and beyond, The nations have perished out of his land.
17 O LEUM GOD, kom fah porongo pre lun mwet fakpap; Kom fah akpulaikyalos.
The longing of the patient, thou hast heard, O Yahweh, Thou wilt establish their heart, Thou wilt make attentive thine ear:
18 Kom ac fah lohng tung lun mwet mwemelil ac mwet mukaimtal; Nununku lom ac fah wo nu selos, Tuh mwet faclu fah tia sifil aksangengyalos.
To vindicate the fatherless and the crushed, A man of the earth, shall, no further, cause terror!
