< Soakas 9 >
1 Lalmwetmet el musaeak lohm sel, ac orala sru itkosr kac.
Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars:
2 El sapkin in anwuki soko kosro nu ke sie kufwa, ac kurrauk mwe akyu mongo nu ke wain uh, ac akoela tepu nu kac.
She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table.
3 El supwala mutan fusr kulansap lal nu yen fulat ke siti uh elos in pang ac fahk,
She has sent forth her maidens: she cries upon the highest places of the city,
4 “Utyak, kowos su wangin etauk la!” Ac nu sin mwet lalfon el fahk,
Whoso is simple, let him turn in here: as for him that wants understanding, she says to him,
5 “Fahsru, kang mwe mongo nak, ac nim ke wain ma nga kurrauk.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6 Fahsr liki mwet nikin ingan ac moul. Fahsr ke inkanek lun etauk.”
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
7 Kom fin kai sie mwet filang, el ac folokin ke kas in akmwekin. Kom fin kai sie mwet koluk, el ac suk in akngalye kom.
He that reproves a scorner gets to himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself a blot.
8 Nimet kai sie mwet filang; el ac srungakom. A kom fin aksuwosye sie mwet lalmwetmet, el ac akfulatye kom.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
9 Kutena ma kom ac fahk nu sin sie mwet lalmwetmet ac akyokye lalmwetmet lal, ac ma nukewa kom ac fahk nu sin sie mwet suwoswos ac laesla etauk lal.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10 Sangeng sin LEUM GOD pa mutaweyen lalmwetmet. Ac eteyen El su Mutal pa etauk.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11 Lalmwetmet uh ac akloesye moul lom.
For by me your days shall be multiplied, and the years of your life shall be increased.
12 Kom pa ac eis woiya kom fin lalmwetmet, ac kom fin srangesr eis, na kom ac keok.
If you be wise, you shall be wise for yourself: but if you scorn, you alone shall bear it.
13 Lalfon el oana sie mutan wowon, su nikin ac sumwekin.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knows nothing.
14 El muta ke mutunoa in lohm sel, ku muta fin sie mwe muta fulat in siti uh,
For she sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
15 ac pang nu selos su fahsr alukella nu ke orekma lalos sifacna. El fahk,
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
16 “Utyak, kowos su wangin etauk la!” Ac nu sin mwet lalfon el fahk,
Whoso is simple, let him turn in here: and as for him that wants understanding, she says to him,
17 “Kof pisrapasrla uh arulana emwem. Bread pisrapasrla uh pa arulana yu.”
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
18 Mwet inge tiana etu lah mwet nukewa ma som nu in lohm sel uh misa; ac elos su utyak tari nu yorol, inge elos oan yen loal in facl lun mwet misa. (Sheol )
But he knows not that the dead are there; and that her guest are in the depths of hell. (Sheol )
