< Soakas 7 >

1 Wen nutik, esam kas luk nu sum, ac nimet mulkunla ma nga fahk kom in oru.
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thy eye.
3 Sruokya mwe luti luk in wi kom pacl nukewa. Simusla insiom.
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thy heart.
4 Oru lalmwetmet uh in oana sie tamtael lom, ac etauk in oana mwet kawuk fototo lom.
Say to wisdom, Thou [art] my sister; and call understanding [thy] kinswoman:
5 Ma inge ac sruokkomi liki mutan payuk kien mukul saya, ac kas in akmunas lalos.
That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger [which] flattereth with her words.
6 Sie pacl ah ke nga tuh ngetla ke winto in lohm sik ah,
For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house.
9 Ke ekela tukun lohsrani acn uh,
In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
10 mutan sac osun nu sel. El nuknuk oana sie mutan kosro su eis molin kosro lal, ac oasr nunak koluk se sel.
And behold, there met him a woman [with] the attire of a harlot, and subtil of heart.
11 El sie mutan ku nunak lal ac sumwekin, su lungsena forfor inkanek uh pacl nukewa,
(She [is] loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12 ku muta soano mwet ke sruwasrik inkanek uh. Kutu pacl uh el ac tu inkanek uh, ac kutu pacl ke nien kuka.
Now [is she] without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
13 El kaokma mukul fusr sac ac ngok mutal. El ngetang suilya ac fahk,
So she caught him, and kissed him, [and] with an impudent face said to him,
14 “Nga oru tari mwe kisa luk misenge, ac ikwa kac uh oasr yuruk.
[I have] peace-offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows.
Therefore I came forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
16 Nga lohala tari mwe oan kiuk ke kaot linen tuhntun Egypt me.
I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved [works], with fine linen of Egypt.
17 Nga fwela ke ono keng ma orekla ke myrrh, aloes, ac cinnamon.
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Fahsru nga kom in oru lungse lasr fong nufon se. Kut in asruhila ac arulana pwar sie sin sie.
Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
For the good-man [is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:
20 El us mani na yohk welul ac el ac tia folok nwe ke wik luo.”
He hath taken a bag of money with him, [and] will come home at the day appointed.
21 Na el srifella ke kas emwem lal, ac mwet fusr sac welulla.
With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she impelled him.
22 El sa na in fahsr tokol oana soko ox kokola nu ke anwuki, ku oana soko deer ma sroang nu in kwasrip
He goeth after her quickly, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
23 ac osra in pisr uh ac fakisya insial. El oana sie won su fahsryang nu in sie nwek ac tia etu lah moul lal oan in fosrnga.
Till a dart striketh through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it [is] for his life.
24 Ke ma inge, wen nutik, porongeyu, ac lohang nu ke ma nga fahk.
Now therefore hearken to me, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25 Nik kom lela sie mutan ouinge in eisla insiom. Nimet kuhfla nu yorol.
Let not thy heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
26 El kunausla mukul puspis tari, ac pus na selos misa.
For she hath cast down many wounded: yes, many strong [men] have been slain by her.
(Sheol h7585)
Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
