He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and without remedy.

When the righteous increase, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3 Kom fin aksaokye lalmwetmet, na papa tomom el ac engan sum. Ma lalfon se in sisla mani ke mutan kosro su kukakin mano.
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; but he that is a companion of harlots destroyeth [his] substance.
4 Sie tokosra su suk ma suwohs, mutunfacl sel ac fah arulana ku; a el fin nunku na ke mani, el ac kunausla mutunfacl sel.
A king by just judgment establisheth the land; but he that taketh gifts overthroweth it.
5 Kom fin aklukukye kawuk lom an, kom sifacna oakiya sie mwe kwasrip nu sum.
A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his steps.
6 Mwet koluk uh sifacna sremla in ma koluk lalos, a mwet suwoswos elos on ac engan.
In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare; but the righteous shall sing and rejoice.
7 Mwet wo elos kalem ke enenu lun mwet sukasrup, a mwet koluk elos tiana nunku ke ma inge.
The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; the wicked understandeth not knowledge.
8 Mwet folkas uh ku in akfohsyauk siti nufon se. Elos su lalmwetmet ku in akmisyela.
Scornful men set the city in a flame; but the wise turn away anger.
9 Ke sie mwet lalmwetmet el usak sie mwet lalfon nu in nununku, mwet lalfon sac ac israsr ac wowoyak ke kas in sufan nu sel.
If a wise man contendeth with a fool, whether he rage or laugh, [he] hath no rest.
10 Mwet akmas uh kwase mwet ma oru ma suwohs, a mwet suwoswos elos ac suk in loango moul lun mwet suwohs.
The bloodthirsty hate the perfect, but the upright care for his soul.
11 Mwet lalfon uh mongsa, a mwet lalmwetmet elos muteng ac ku in kutong.
A fool uttereth all his mind; but a wise [man] keepeth it back.
12 Sie mwet leum fin lohang nu ke kas kikiap, mwet pwapa lal nukewa ac fah kikiap.
If a ruler hearken to lying words, all his servants are wicked.
13 Mwet sukasrup ac mwet su akkeokyalos elos oana sie in lumah se inge: LEUM GOD pa oru elos in ku in liye.
The indigent and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both.
14 Sie tokosra fin oaru in liyaung suwohs lun mwet sukasrup, el ac fah leum ke pacl loeleos.
A king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
15 Ma wowo se in kai ac aksuwosye sie tulik. Fin filfilla elan oru lungse lal sifacna, ac fah mwe mwekin nu sin nina kial.
The rod and reproof give wisdom; but a child left [to himself] bringeth his mother to shame.
16 Ke pacl mwet koluk uh kol, ma koluk ac yokelik. Tusruktu mwet suwoswos ac fah moul ac liye ke mwet inge tila kol.
When the wicked increase, transgression increaseth; but the righteous shall see their fall.
17 Kai wen nutum, ac kom ac fah insewowo sel pacl nukewa. El ac fah tiana akmwekinye kom.
Chasten thy son, and he shall give thee rest, and shall give delight unto thy soul.
18 Sie mutunfacl ma tia lohang nu ke kolyuk lun God ac fohsak. Insewowo elos su liyaung ma sap lun God!
Where there is no vision the people cast off restraint; but happy is he that keepeth the law.
19 Kom tia ku in kai sie mwet kulansap ke kas mukena. El ac ku in kalem kac, tuh el ac tiana lohang nu kac.
A servant is not corrected by words: he understandeth indeed, but he will not answer.
20 Yohk finsrak lasr nu ke sie mwet lalfon, liki sie mwet ingunyar in sramsram.
Hast thou seen a man hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
21 Kom fin sang nu sin mwet kulansap lom ma nukewa ma el lungse ke el srikyak, sie len el ac sruokya ma lom nukewa.
He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child, shall in the end have him as a son.
22 Mwet mongsa uh purakak akukuin ac lokoalok pacl nukewa.
An angry man exciteth contention; and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 Filang lun sie mwet ac fah akmwekinyal; ac kom fin inse pusisel, ac akfulatyeyuk kom.
A man's pride bringeth him low; but the humble in spirit shall obtain honour.
24 Sie mwet kasru lun mwet pisrapasr el pwanma mwe lokoalok nu sel sifacna. El fin fahkak ma pwaye ye mutun nununku, el ac fah eis kai. Ac el fin wikin, na ac fah selngawiyuk el.
Whoso shareth with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth the adjuration, and declareth not.
25 Sie mwe sensen in nunku ke ma mwet uh nunku keim; tuh kom fin lulalfongi in LEUM GOD, kom ac tiana sensen.
The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his confidence in Jehovah is protected.
26 Mwet nukewa lungse suk ohi sin mwet leum uh, a LEUM GOD mukena ku in sot nununku suwohs.
Many seek the ruler's face; but a man's right judgment is from Jehovah.
27 Mwet suwoswos uh kwase mwet koluk, ac mwet koluk kwase pac mwet suwoswos.
An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; and he that is of upright way is an abomination to the wicked [man].
