< Soakas 21 >
1 LEUM GOD El leumi nunak lun sie tokosra, oana ke El oakiya fahsr lun soko infacl.
The king’s heart is in the LORD’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.
2 Sahp kom nunku mu ma nukewa kom oru uh suwohs, tuh esam lah LEUM GOD El tuni nunak lun insiom.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts.
3 Oru ma suwohs ac pwaye; ma inge mwe akenganye LEUM GOD yohk liki ma kom ac kisakunang nu sel.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 Mwet koluk uh kolyuk ke nunak filing ac inse fulat. Ma inge koluk.
A high look and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5 Motkwala akwoye orekma lom, na ac fah yolyak ma oan yurum; kom fin orekma sulaklak, ac fah tiana sun enenu lom.
The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6 Mwe kasrup kom eis ke inkanek kutasrik ac sa na in wanginla, tusruktu ac kol kom nu ke misa meet liki ac wanginla.
Getting treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7 Mwet koluk uh ac fah kunausyukla ke sulallal lalos sifacna; elos srunga oru ma suwohs.
The violence of the wicked will drive them away, because they refuse to do what is right.
8 Mwet oru ma koluk elos fahsr ke inkanek kih; a mwet wangin mwata elos oru ma suwohs.
The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9 Ac wo in muta fin mangon lohm uh, liki in muta in lohm uh wi sie mutan torkaskas.
It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10 Mwet koluk elos kena oru ma koluk pacl nukewa; wangin pakomuta lalos nu sin mwet.
The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11 Ke pacl se kaiyuk sie mwet inse fulat, na sie mwet sulalkung el ac ku in eis etauk kac. Sie mwet lalmwetmet el eis etauk ke ma lutiyuk el.
When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom. When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12 God, su suwoswoslana, El etu ma orek in lohm sin mwet koluk, ac El ac fah eisalosyang nu ke ongoiya.
The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, and brings the wicked to ruin.
13 Kom fin srangesr lohng pang lun mwet sukasrup ke elos suk kasru, na ke kom ac pang in suk kasru, ac fah tia pac lohngyuk kom.
Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
14 Sie mwet fin mulat sum, na sie mwe sang in lukma ac ku in akmisyella.
A gift in secret pacifies anger, and a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.
15 Pacl ma orekla sie nununku suwohs, mwet wo uh insewowo, a mwet koluk elos toasrla.
It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16 Misa soano kutena mwet su tafongla liki inkanek lun etauk.
The man who wanders out of the way of understanding shall rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.
17 El su sisla mani yohk nu ke mwe kasrup, wain ac mongo yuyu, ac fah tiana kasrup.
He who loves pleasure will be a poor man. He who loves wine and oil won’t be rich.
18 Mwet koluk sifacna use nu faclos mwe keok ma elos srike in oru nu sin mwet wo.
The wicked is a ransom for the righteous, the treacherous for the upright.
19 Wo in muta yen mwesis liki in muta yurin sie mutan su lungse torkaskas.
It is better to dwell in a desert land, than with a contentious and fretful woman.
20 Mwet lalmwetmet uh pus mwe kasrup ac mwe insewowo lalos, a mwet lalfon uh sa na in sisla mani lalos.
There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it up.
21 Kom in kulang ac suwosna, na ac fah loes moul lom; mwet uh fah akfulatye kom ac oru wo nu sum.
He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor.
22 Sie mwet kol lalmwetmet lun un mwet mweun, ku in sruokya sie siti ma karinginyuk sin mwet na watwen, ac kunausla pot ma elos lulalfongi yohk kac.
A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the strength of its confidence.
23 Kom fin tia lungse sun mwe lokoalok, karinganang ma kom fahk an.
Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.
24 Sie mwet inse fulat el nunku kacl sifacna, ac el filang ac konkin.
The proud and arrogant man—“Scoffer” is his name— he works in the arrogance of pride.
25 Sie mwet alsrangesr su srunga orekma, el sifacna oru elan misa —
The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
26 pwayena ma el nunku pa el suk in pus ma lal. A sie mwet suwoswos el insewowo in sang ac tia sruok.
There are those who covet greedily all day long; but the righteous give and don’t withhold.
27 LEUM GOD El srunga mwe kisa lun mwet koluk, yokna elos fin oru ke nunak koluk lalos.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination— how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!
28 Kas lun sie mwet loh kikiap fah tia lulalfongiyuk, a kas lun sie mwet su nunkala mau wo fah lohngyuk.
A false witness will perish. A man who listens speaks to eternity.
29 Mwet suwoswos elos okak in etu lalos; mwet koluk uh tia sruhk etu a elos kwafelos mwet in liye mu elos etu.
A wicked man hardens his face; but as for the upright, he establishes his ways.
30 Wangin sripen lalmwetmet, etauk, ku liyaten lun mwet, fin lain LEUM GOD.
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31 Kom ku in akoela horse puspis nu ke mweun, tusruktu LEUM GOD pa ac sot kutangla.
The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with the LORD.
