THE PARABLE OF SALOMON. A wise sonne maketh a glad father: but a foolish sonne is an heauines to his mother.

The treasures of wickednesse profite nothing: but righteousnesse deliuereth from death.
3 LEUM GOD El ac fah tia lela mwet wo in masrinsral, a El ac taran tuh mwet koluk in tia eis ma elos lungse.
The Lord will not famish the soule of the righteous: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
4 Alsrangesr ac oru kom in sukasrup, a alken in orekma ac oru kom in kasrup.
A slouthfull hand maketh poore: but the hand of the diligent maketh riche.
5 Sie mwet etu nunak el kosrani fukun ima lal ke pacl fal — sie mwe mwekin in motul ke pacl in kosrani.
He that gathereth in sommer, is the sonne of wisdome: but he that sleepeth in haruest, is the sonne of confusion.
6 Sie mwet wo ac eis mwe insewowo, a kas lun sie mwet koluk okanla elah sulallal oan in el.
Blessings are vpon the head of the righteous: but iniquitie shall couer the mouth of the wicked.
7 Mwet wo uh esamyuk oana sie mwe insewowo, a mwet koluk fah sa in mulkinyukla.
The memoriall of the iust shalbe blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rotte.
8 Mwet etu nunak elos engan in eis kas in kasru. Mwet kaskas lalfon fah kunausyukla.
The wise in heart will receiue commandements: but the foolish in talke shalbe beaten.
9 Mwet moul suwohs uh fah misla ac okak, a mwet sesuwos ac fah sruhu.
He that walketh vprightly, walketh boldely: but he that peruerteth his wayes, shalbe knowen.
10 El su okanla ma pwaye ac ku in pwanang lokoalok, a el su pulaik in kai ke orekma tafongla, ac orala misla.
He that winketh with the eye, worketh sorowe, and he yet is foolish in talke, shalbe beaten.
11 Kas lun sie mwet wo oana sie unon in moul, a kas lun sie mwet koluk okanla elah sulallal oan in el.
The mouth of a righteous man is a welspring of life: but iniquitie couereth the mouth of the wicked.
12 Srunga uh purakak lokoalok, a lungse fah nunak munas ke ma tafongla nukewa.
Hatred stirreth vp contentions: but loue couereth all trespasses.
13 Kas lun mwet lalmwetmet oasr kalmac, a mwet lalfon uh enenu in kalyeiyuk.
In the lippes of him that hath vnderstanding wisdome is founde, and a rod shalbe for the backe of him that is destitute of wisedome.
14 Mwet lalmwetmet uh kena akyokye etauk lalos, a kas lusrongten lun mwet lalfon ac pwanma lokoalok.
Wise men lay vp knowledge: but ye mouth of the foole is a present destruction.
15 Kasrup uh ma karinginyen mwet kasrup; a sukasrup uh kunausla mwet sukasrup.
The riche mans goodes are his strong citie: but the feare of the needie is their pouertie.
16 Lacnen orekma wo pa moul; a ma koluk uh mwe na akyokye ma koluk.
The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: but the reuenues of the wicked to sinne.
17 Mwet su porongo kas in kai ac fah moul, a elos su tia ku in fahkak lah oasr tafongla lalos, mwe sensen nu selos.
He that regardeth instruction, is in the way of life: but he that refuseth correction, goeth out of the way.
18 Mwet se su okanla srunga lal uh, el sie mwet kikiap. El su srumunelik kas in lesrik, el sie mwet lalfon.
He that dissembleth hatred with lying lips, and he that inuenteth slaunder, is a foole.
19 Kom fin kaskas pusla, ac ku in pwanang kom orala ma koluk. Kom fin lalmwetmet, na kom mislana.
In many wordes there cannot want iniquitie: but he that refrayneth his lippes, is wise.
20 Kas lun sie mwet wo oana silver nasnas, a nunak lun sie mwet koluk wanginna sripa.
The tongue of the iust man is as fined siluer: but the heart of the wicked is litle worth.
21 Kaskas lun sie mwet wo ac akwoye moul lun mwet puspis, a lalfon lom ku in unikom sifacna.
The lippes of the righteous doe feede many: but fooles shall die for want of wisedome.
22 Mwe akinsewowo sin LEUM GOD pa oru kom in kasrup. Orekma upa tia ku in akyokye kasrup lom.
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh riche, and he doeth adde no sorowes with it.
23 Ma lalfon se pa in oru ma koluk. Mwet oasr etauk yoro elos engankin lalmwetmet.
It is as a pastime to a foole to doe wickedly: but wisedome is vnderstanding to a man.
24 Ac itukyang nu sin mwet suwoswos ma elos kena kac, a mwet koluk uh ac sun ma elos arulana sangeng kac.
That which the wicked feareth, shall come vpon him: but God wil graunt the desire of the righteous.
25 Ke paka uh tuku, mwet koluk uh ac ukukla, a mwet wo uh muta okak in pacl nukewa.
As the whirlewinde passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is as an euerlasting foundation.
26 Nimet eis sie mwet alsrangesr in orekma lom. El ac oana vinegar nu ke wihsum, ku kulasr nu ke atronmotom.
As vineger is to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the slouthful to them that send him.
27 Akfulatye LEUM GOD na ac fah loes moul lom, a moul lun mwet koluk ac akfototoyeyuk.
The feare of the Lord increaseth the dayes: but the yeeres of the wicked shalbe diminished.
28 Finsrak lun mwet wo uh pa mwe insewowo; a mwet koluk uh wangin ma elos ac finsrak nu kac.
The patient abiding of the righteous shall be gladnesse: but the hope of the wicked shall perish.
29 LEUM GOD El loango mwet suwoswos, a El kunauselosla su orekma koluk.
The way of the Lord is strength to the vpright man: but feare shall be for the workers of iniquitie.
30 Mwet suwoswos fah muta okak pacl nukewa, a mwet koluk uh fah tia ku in mutana fin acn uh.
The righteous shall neuer be remooued: but the wicked shall not dwell in the land.
31 Mwet suwoswos elos fahk kas lalmwetmet, a loh ma fahk ma koluk fah tulokinyuki.
The mouth of the iust shall be fruitfull in wisdome: but the tongue of the froward shall be cut out.
32 Mwet suwoswos elos etu in fahk kas kulang; a mwet koluk uh fahk kas in aktoasrye mwet pacl nukewa.
The lips of the righteous knowe what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh froward things.
