< Micah 5 >

1 Mwet Jerusalem, orani mwet mweun lowos! Rauniyukyak kut! Elos ac sringil inwalin leum se lasr inge!
‘Now cut yourself in bitter grief, daughter besieged by soldiers. They have set a wall around you. They strike the ruler of Israel, in the face with a rod.
2 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Bethlehem Ephrathah, kom sie sin acn ma srik oemeet in acn Judah, tusruktu nga fah use sie mwet kol lun Israel keim me, su takin sou lal nuna ma oemeet me.”
‘Bethlehem in Ephrathah, small among the tribes of Judah, from you will come a king who will rule for me over Israel, whose family line goes back to the distant past.’
3 Ouinge LEUM GOD El ac fah fuhleang mwet lal nu inpoun mwet lokoalok lalos nwe ke pacl se mutan se ma ac oswela tulik mukul se inge el isusla. Na mwet Israel wial su muta in sruoh fah folokeni nu yurin mwet lalos sifacna.
So the Lord will only abandon Israel to its enemies until the woman in labour gives birth. Then the survivors will be reunited with their own people.
4 Ke pacl se el tuku, el fah leumi mwet lal ke ku su tuku sin LEUM GOD me, ac ke wal fulatlana lun LEUM GOD sifacna. Mwet lal fah muta in misla mweyen mwet fin faclu nufon fah akilen fulatlana lal,
And he will stand and shepherd by the strength of the Lord, In the exalted name of the Lord his God; And they will live in security, for now he will be great, even to the ends of the earth.
5 ac el fah use misla. Ke mwet Assyria elos ac utyak nu fin acn sesr ac fokolla pot ku lasr, kut fah supwala mwet kol ma ku oemeet lasr in lainulos.
This will be our peace: when Assyria comes into our land and treads on our soil, we will raise up against him seven shepherds, eight leaders of men.
6 Ke ku lun mwe mweun lalos elos fah kutangla Assyria, acn lal Nimrod, ac elos fah molikutla liki mwet Assyria ke mwet Assyria elos utyak nu fin acn sesr.
They will shepherd Assyria with a sword, and the land of Nimrod with bared blades. They will deliver us from Assyria, when they come into our land, and tread within our borders.
7 Mwet Israel su painmoulla ac fah oana aunfong su tuku sin LEUM GOD me in akoyohuye mutunfacl puspis, ac oana af nu fin ma kapak inima uh. Elos ac fah lulalfongi God, ac tia mwet uh.
And the survivors of Jacob will be disbursed among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which don’t wait for people to come or linger for mortals.
8 Elos su ac lula inmasrlon mutunfacl uh ac fah oana soko lion su suk mwe mongo nal in ima uh, ku oana soko lion fusr inmasrlon un sheep in acn musrasra. El ac mahsrikyak inmasrlon sheep uh, atuyang nu faclos ac srelosi in ip srisrik, ac wangin sie in molelosla.
And the survivors of Jacob will be disbursed among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the sheep-folds, who, when he passes through, pounces. He savages his prey. There is no rescuer.
9 Israel ac fah kutangla mwet lokoalok lal ac kunauselosla nukewa.
Let your hand triumph over your adversaries, let all your enemies be cut off.
10 LEUM GOD El fahk, “In pacl sac nga fah eisla horse nutuwos ac kunausla chariot nutuwos.
On that day, says the Lord: ‘I will slaughter your horses from your midst, and destroy your chariots.
11 Nga fah kunausla siti nukewa ac ikruiya pot ku nukewa lowos.
I will devastate the cities in your land, and tear down your fortresses.
12 Nga fah kunausla inutnut lowos ac eisla mwet nukewa su muta palye ma ac sikyak uh.
I will destroy your magic charms, and you will have no soothsayers.
13 Nga fah kunausla ma sruloala ac sru oal lowos, ac kowos fah tia sifil alyalu nu ke ma kowos sifacna orala.
I will cut down your idols and sacred pillars, and you will not worship any more the work of your hands.
14 Nga fah koteya ma sruloala ma orekla in lumahl god mutan Asherah in acn suwos, ac kunausla siti lowos nukewa.
I will uproot your sacred poles, and destroy your idols.
15 Ac in kasrkusrak lulap luk, nga fah oru folok sak luk nu fin mutunfacl nukewa ma tiana akosyu.”
In my wrath and my anger I will seek vengeance on the nations that ignore me.’
