< Matthew 9 >

1 Jesus el sroang nu fin oak uh ac folokla nu in acn sel.
And having embarked into the ship, He crossed over, and came into His own city.
2 Ac mwet uh use sie mwet ul nu yorol, su oanna fin mwe oan kial. Ke Jesus el liye lupan lulalfongi lalos, el fahk nu sin mwet ul sac, “Wen nutik, akkeye kom! Ma koluk lom nunak munas tari nu sum.”
And behold, they were bringing to Him a paralyzed man, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, Be of good cheer, child, thy sins are forgiven thee.
3 Na kutu sin mwet luti ke Ma Sap elos sifacna nunku in elos, “Mwet se inge el kaskas enum lain God!”
And behold, certain ones of the scribes said among themselves; This man blasphemeth.
4 Jesus el etu ma elos nunku, ac el fahk nu selos, “Efu ku kowos nunak koluk?
And Jesus seeing their thoughts said, Why do you think evil in your hearts?
5 Pia kac ma fisrasr in fahk: ‘Ma koluk lom nunak munas tari nu sum,’ ku in fahk, ‘Tuyak ac fahsr’?
For whether is it easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or, Arise, and walk about?
6 Nga ac akpwayei nu suwos lah oasr ku lun Wen nutin Mwet in nunak munas ke ma koluk fin faclu.” Ouinge el fahk nu sin mwet ul sac, “Tuyak, srukak mwe oan kiom ac fahsr nu lohm sum!”
But in order that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then He says to the paralytic), Having arisen, take thy bed, and depart into thy house.
7 Mwet sac tuyak ac som nu lohm sel.
And having arisen, he came away to his own house.
8 Ke mwet uh liye elos sangeng ac kaksakin God lah El sang ku ouinge nu sin mwet uh.
And the multitude seeing, were astonished, and glorified God, who giveth such power to men.

And Jesus passing along from thence, saw a man sitting at the toll, called Matthew; and He says to him, Follow me. And having arisen up, he followed Him.
10 Ke Jesus el muta ac mongo in lohm sel Matthew, mwet eisani tax ac mwet koluk saya puspis tuku welul Jesus ac mwet tumal lutlut mongo.
And it came to pass, He was sitting at the table in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners, having come were sitting along with Jesus and His disciples.
11 Kutu sin mwet Pharisee liye ac siyuk sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Efu ku mwet luti lowos uh wi kain in mwet ingan mongo?”
And the Pharisees seeing, said to His disciples, Wherefore does your teacher eat with publicans and sinners?
12 Jesus el lohng ma elos fahk, ac topuk nu selos, “Mwet ku elos tia enenu mwet ono, a mwet mas mukena.
And Jesus hearing said to them, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.
13 Kowos som ac suk lah mea kalmen kas se in Ma Simusla ma fahk mu, ‘Pakoten pa nga lungsik, ac tia mwe kisa.’ Nga tia tuku ke sripen mwet wo, a ke mwet koluk.”
But having gone, learned what this is, I wish mercy and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14 Na mwet lutlut lal John Baptais elos tuku nu yurin Jesus ac fahk, “Efu ku kut ac mwet Pharisee uh lalo in pacl pus, a mwet lutlut lom uh tiana lalo?”
Then the disciples of John come to Him, saying, Wherefore do we and the Pharisee fast, but thy disciples do not fast?
15 Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Ya kowos nunku mu mwet ma solsol nu ke kufwa in marut uh ac asor ke pacl mukul se ac marut uh oasr inmasrlolos? Elos ac tiana asor! Tusruktu len se ac fah tuku ke mwet kacto sac ac fah itukla lukelos, na in pacl sacn elos ac fah lalo.
And Jesus said to them, The sons of the bride-chamber are not able to fast, so long as the bridegroom is with them. But the day will come, when the bride-groom must be taken from them, and then they will fast.
16 “Wangin mwet sang ipin nuknuk sasu pinis nuknuk mah uh, tuh ipin nuknuk sasu sac fin tulakeni el ac seya nuknuk mah uh, ac mihsa sac ac yokelik liki meet ah.
But no one puts a piece of new cloth on an old garment; for it takes its fullness from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17 Oayapa wangin mwet okoaung wain sasu nu in pak in neinyuk wain mah, tuh mwe neinyuk mah sac ac mihsalik ac wain uh ac kahkla, ac pak sac ac musalla. Tia ouinge, a itukyang wain sasu nu ke mwe neinyuk sasu, na kewana ac fah wona.”
Neither do they put new wine in old bottles: lest the bottles are broken, and the wine poured out, and the bottles shall perish: but they put the new wine into the new bottles, and both are preserved.
18 Ke Jesus el srakna fahk ma inge, sie mwet leum lun mwet Jew tuku nu yorol, sikukmutunte ye mutal ac fahk, “Acn nutik el tufahna misa, tusruktu fahsru ac filiya poum facl, ac el fah moulyak.”
And He speaking these things to them, behold a certain ruler having come, continued to worship Him, saying, My daughter just now died: but having come put your hand on her, and she shall live.
19 Ouinge Jesus el tuyak ac fahsr tokol, ac mwet tumal lutlut welul.
And Jesus having risen, follows him, and His disciples.
20 Sie mutan su musen srah ke lusen yac singoul luo el fahsryang tukun Jesus ac kahlye pulan nuknuk lal.
And behold, a woman, having an issue of blood twelve years, and coming to Him behind, touched the hem of His garment.

For she continued to say within herself, If I may only touch His garment, I will be saved.
22 Jesus el tapulla ac liyal, na el fahk, “Acn nutik, akkeye kom! Lulalfongi lom oru kom in kwela.” In pacl sacna mutan sac kwela.
And the woman was saved from that hour. And Jesus turning and seeing her said, Be of good cheer, daughter; thy faith hath saved thee.
23 Na Jesus el som nu in lohm sin mwet leum sac. Ke el liye mwet srital ke mwe on ke mas misa sac, ac mwet saya uh arulana wonak ke tung lalos,
And Jesus having come into the house of the ruler, and seeing the flute-players, and the weeping crowd,

And when the crowd was put out, coming to her, He took her by the hand, and the damsel arose.

Have mercy on us, thou Son of David. And the blind men came to Him, having come into the house: and Jesus says to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They say to Him, Yea, Lord.
29 Na Jesus el kahlye mutaltal ac fahk, “Lela in orek nu sumtal oana lulalfongi lomtal an!”
Then He touched their eyes, saying, Be it unto you according to your faith.
30 Na ikakla mutaltal eltal ku in liye. Na Jesus el arulana wili nu seltal ac fahk, “Nimet komtal fahk nu sin kutena mwet!”
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus charged them, saying, See that no one know it.
31 Tuh eltal som ac fahkelik pweng kacl Jesus inge in polo acn sac nufon.
But they having gone out, spread abroad His fame in all that country.

And the demon having been cast out, the dumb spoke. And the multitudes were astonished, saying,
34 Tusruk mwet Pharisee elos fahk, “Leum lun ngun fohkfok uh pa sang kain in ku inge nu sel, pwanang el ku in lusla ngun fohkfok uh.”
Never did it so appear in Israel. And the Pharisees continued to say, He casts out the demons through the prince of the demons.
35 Jesus el som ac forfor in siti nukewa in polo acn sac. El luti in iwen lolngok uh, ac fahkak Pweng Wo ke Tokosrai uh, ac akkeyala kain in mas ac munas nukewa lun mwet uh.

And seeing the multitudes, He was moved in compassion in their behalf, because they were fleeced and deserted, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Ke ma inge el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Pwaye kosrani uh yohk, a pu mwet in orekma.
Then He says to His disciples, The harvest truly is great and the laborers are few;

therefore pray the Lord of the harvest that he may send forth laborers into His harvest.
