< Matthew 7 >
1 “Nik kowos nununku mwet, tuh God Elan tia pac nununkekowos,
Judge not, that ye may not be judged;
2 mweyen God El ac fah nununkekowos oana ke kowos nununku mwet saya, ac El ac fah folokonot nu suwos srikasrak se na ma kowos oru nu sin mwet saya.
for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.
3 Efu ku kom liye kutkut srisrik ma oan luin mutun mwet lim, ac tia lohang nu ke polosak lulap luin motom uh?
But why lookest thou on the mote that is in the eye of thy brother, but observest not the beam that is in thine eye?
4 Efu ku kom ku in fahk nu sin ma lim, ‘Lela nga in eisla kutkut se ke luin motom an,’ ke oasr pac polosak na lulap se oan in motom uh?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Allow [me], I will cast out the mote from thine eye; and behold, the beam is in thine eye?
5 Kom mwet wosounkas! Eisla meet sak lulap in motom an, na kom fah ku in liye kalem kutkut srisrik ke mutun mwet lim.
Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine eye, and then thou wilt see clearly to cast out the mote out of the eye of thy brother.
6 “Nimet sang ma mutal nu sin kosro ngalngul uh — elos ac foroht ngaliskomi. Nimet sisla ma saok lowos nu ye mutun pig uh, tuh elos ac longya ye nialos.
Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them with their feet, and turning round rend you.
7 “Siyuk, na kowos fah eis; suk, na kowos fah konauk; towolak na srungul uh ac fah ikakla nu suwos.
Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.
8 Tuh elos nukewa su siyuk elos ac fah eis; ac elos su suk fah konauk, ac srungul uh ac fah ikakla nu selos su towolak.
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
9 Su inmasrlowos ac sang sie eot nu sin tulik natul el fin siyuk ke bread?
Or what man is there of you who, if his son shall ask of him a loaf of bread, will give him a stone;
10 Ku sang soko wet, el fin siyuk ke ik?
and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent?
11 Kowos finne koluk, kowos etu in sang ma wo nu sin tulik nutuwos uh. Ac fuka lupan woiyen ma Papa tomowos inkusrao El ac sang nu selos nukewa su siyuk sel!
If therefore ye, being wicked, know [how] to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?
12 “Oru nu sin mwet saya ma kowos lungse elos in oru nu suwos: pa inge kalmen Ma Sap lal Moses ac mwe luti lun mwet palu.
Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Utyak ke mutunpot oasriksrik, mweyen mutunpot nu in hell uh sralap, ac inkanek nu kac uh fisrasr, ac pus mwet fahsr kac. ()
Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it.
14 A funu mutunpot nu ke moul uh oasriksrik, ac inkanek nu kac uh upa, ac pu na mwet konauk.
For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it.
15 “Kowos liyekowosyang liki mwet palu kikiap. Elos ac tuku nu yuruwos oana luman sheep, a nunak lalos oana luman wolf lemnak.
But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.
16 Kowos ac akilenulos ke orekma lalos. Kokul uh tia oswe grape, ac sak ma oasr otoh kac tia oswe fig.
By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs?
17 Soko sak wo fah oswe fahko wo, ac soko sak koluk el ac oswe fahko koluk.
So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits.
18 Soko sak wo koflana oswe fahko koluk, ac soko sak koluk tia ku in oswe fahko wo.
A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits.
19 Ac kutena sak su tia oswe fahko wo, fah pakpuki ac sisila nu in e uh.
Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
20 Ke ma inge, kowos ac akilen mwet palu kikiap uh ke orekma lalos.
By their fruits then surely ye shall know them.
21 “Tia mwet nukewa ma pangonyu ‘Leum, Leum’ ac fah ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun kusrao, a elos na su oru ma lungse lun Papa tumuk inkusrao.
Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that does the will of my Father who is in the heavens.
22 Ke Len in Nununku ac tuku, mwet puspis ac fah fahk nu sik, ‘Leum, Leum! Kut tuh fahkak kas lun God inem, ac sisla demon puspis inem, ac oru ma usrnguk puspis!’
Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through thy name, and through thy name cast out demons, and through thy name done many works of power?
23 Na nga ac fahk nu selos, ‘Nga tiana etekowos. Fahla likiyu, kowos mwet koluk!’
and then will I avow unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessness.
24 “Ke ma inge, kutena mwet su lohng kas luk inge ac akos, el oana sie mwet lalmwetmet su musai lohm sel fin eot ku.
Whoever therefore hears these my words and does them, I will liken him to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock;
25 Na af uh kahkla, ac infacl uh sronoti, ac eng uh tuhme arulana upa nu fin lohm sac, a lohm sac tiana ikori, mweyen musaiyuk fin eot ku.
and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and fell upon that house, and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.
26 “A kutena mwet su lohng kas luk inge ac tia akos, el oana sie mwet lalfon su musai lohm sel fin puk uh.
And every one who hears these my words and does not do them, he shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;
27 Ke af uh kahkla, ac infacl uh sronoti, ac eng uh tuhme arulana upa nu fin lohm uh, na lohm sac ikori, ac musalla na pwaye!”
and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.
28 Tukun Jesus el fahkak ma inge, mwet uh arulana fwefela ke luti lal uh.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his doctrine,
29 El tia oana mwet luti Ma Sap uh; a el luti ke ku yohk ma oasr in el sifacna.
for he taught them as having authority, and not as their scribes.
