< Matthew 19 >

1 Tukun Jesus el fahk ma inge tari, el som liki acn Galilee ac ut kutulap in Infacl Jordan nu Judea.
And it came to pass, when Jesus finished these words, He removed from Galilee, and came to the borders of Judea, beyond the Jordan,
2 Un mwet puspis fahsr tokol, ac el akkeyalosla nukewa su mas we.
and great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 Kutu mwet Pharisee tuku nu yorol tuh elos in srikal ke mwe siyuk se inge, “Ya Ma Sap uh lela sie mwet in sisla mutan kial ke kutena sripa?”
And the Pharisees came near to Him, tempting Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?”
4 Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Ya kowos soenna riti Ma Simusla se ma fahk mu, Ke mutawauk, El su orala ma nukewa El orala pac mukul ac mutan?
And He answering said to them, “Did you not read that He who made [them] from the beginning, made them a male and a female,
5 Ac God El fahk, ‘Ke sripa se inge, sie mukul el fah fahsr liki papa ac nina, ac fah fulyang nu sin mutan kial, ac eltal fah ma sefanna.’
and said, For this cause will a man leave father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they will be—the two—for one flesh?
6 Ouinge eltal fah tia sifil ma luo, a eltal ac ma sefannala. Ke ma inge, ma God El falsani lela mwet uh in tia eisalik.”
So that they are no longer two, but one flesh; what therefore God joined together, let no man separate.”
7 Na mwet Pharisee elos siyuk sel, “Ac efu ku Moses el tuh sapkin mu mukul se ac ku in sang sie pwepu in fahsrelik nu sin mutan kial, ac supwalla lukel?”
They say to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a roll of divorce, and to put her away?”
8 Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Moses el tuh lela nu suwos in sisla mutan kiowos mweyen arulana upa insiowos. Tusruktu, tia ouinge ke mutawauk me.
He says to them, “Moses for your stiffness of heart permitted you to put away your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 Ke ma inge nga fahk nu suwos, kutena mwet su sisla mutan kial ke kutena sripa sayen mutan sac orek kosro, na mukul sac el orek kosro el fin sifil payukyak sin siena mutan.”
And I say to you that whoever may put away his wife, if not for whoredom, and may marry another, commits adultery; and he who married her that has been put away, commits adultery.”
10 Mwet tumal lutlut elos fahk, “Fin pa ingan oakwuk inmasrlon sie sianyan, ac wona in tia payuk.”
His disciples say to Him, “If the case of the man with the woman is so, it is not good to marry.”
11 Na Jesus el fahk, “Tia mwet nukewa ku in eis mwe luti se inge, a elos na su God El akkalemye nu se.
And He said to them, “All do not receive this word, but those to whom it has been given;
12 Mweyen oasr sripa pus ma oru sie mukul in tia payuk: kutu, mweyen elos nuna isusla ouinge; ac kutu, mwet uh pa oru elos in ouinge; ac kutu tia payuk ke na sripen Tokosrai lun kusrao. Lela el su ku in eis mwe luti se inge in eis.”
for there are eunuchs who from the mother’s womb were so born; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who kept themselves eunuchs because of the kingdom of the heavens: he who is able to receive [it]—let him receive.”
13 Na mwet uh use tulik srisrik nu yurin Jesus elan filiya paol faclos ac pre kaclos, a mwet tumal lutlut elos multikin nu sin mwet uh.
Then were brought near to Him children that He might put hands on them and pray, and the disciples rebuked them.
14 Na Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Lela tulik in tuku nu yuruk ac nimet ikololosi, tuh Tokosrai lun kusrao ma lalos su oana tulik srisrik uh.”
But Jesus said, “Permit the children, and do not forbid them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens”;
15 Na el filiya paol nu faclos, ac som liki acn sac.
and having laid [His] hands on them, He departed from there.
16 Sie pacl ah mwet fusr se tuku nu yurin Jesus ac siyuk sel, “Mwet Luti, orekma wo fuka se nga enenu in oru tuh nga fah ku in eis moul ma pahtpat?” (aiōnios g166)
And behold, one having come near, said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing will I do that I may have continuous life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 Na Jesus el fahk, “Efu kom ku siyuk sik ke ma su wo uh? God mukena pa wo. Kom fin lungse eis moul ma pahtpat, liyaung ma sap.”
And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good except one—God; but if you will to enter into life, keep the commands.”
18 Na mwet fusr sac siyuk, “Ma sap fuka?” Ac Jesus el topuk, “Nik kom akmas, nik kom kosro; nik kom pisrapasr; nik kom orek loh kikiap lain mwet;
He says to Him, “What kind?” And Jesus said, “You will not murder, You will not commit adultery, You will not steal, You will not bear false witness,
19 sunakin papa tomom ac nina kiom; ac lungse mwet tulan lom oana kom lungse kom sifacna.”
Honor your father and mother, and, You will love your neighbor as yourself.”
20 Na mwet fusr sac fahk, “Nga liyaung ma sap inge nukewa. Mea pac nga enenu in oru?”
The young man says to Him, “All these I kept from my youth; what yet do I lack?”
21 Na Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Kom fin ke kom in suwosna, kom som kukakunla ma lom nukewa ac sang molo an nu sin mwet sukasrup, na ac fah oasr mwe kasrup lom inkusrao; na kom fahsru fahsr tukuk.”
Jesus said to him, “If you will to be perfect, go away, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me.”
22 Ke mwet fusr sac lohng ma inge, el som ac arulana toasrla kac, mweyen el sie mwet na kasrup.
And the young man, having heard the word, went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions;
23 Na Jesus el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, ac fah arulana upa sie mwet kasrup in utyak nu in Tokosrai lun kusrao.
and Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you that hardly will a rich man enter into the kingdom of the heavens;
24 Ac nga sifilpa fahk, ac fisrasr tuh soko camel in fahsr sasla ke mutun soko nilul, liki sie mwet kasrup in ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun God.”
and again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
25 Ke mwet tumal lutlut elos lohng ma inge elos arulana fwefela. Na elos fahk, “Fin ouingan, su ac ku in moul?”
And His disciples having heard, were exceedingly amazed, saying, “Who, then, is able to be saved?”
26 Jesus el ngetang nu selos ac fahk, “Ma inge ac koflana orek sin mwet uh, a God El ku in oru ma nukewa.”
And Jesus having earnestly beheld, said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Na Peter el kasla ac fahk, “Liye, kut filiya ma nukewa ac fahsr tukum. Na mea kut ac eis kac?”
Then Peter answering said to Him, “Behold, we left all, and followed You, what then will we have?”
28 Na Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, ke Wen nutin Mwet el ac muta fin tron wolana lal ke We Sasu, na kowos mwet singoul luo su fahsr tukuk inge ac fah wi pac muta fin tron singoul luo, in nununku sruf singoul luo lun Israel.
And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you that you who followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit on a throne of His glory, will sit—you also—on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;
29 Ac mwet nukewa su filiya lohm ac acn, ku mwet lel ac mwet lohl, ku papa ac nina, ku tulik natul ke sripuk, ac fah eis lanen ma inge pacl siofok yohk liki, ac elos ac fah usrui pac moul ma pahtpat. (aiōnios g166)
and everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My Name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
30 A mwet puspis su meet in pacl inge ac fah tok, ac mwet puspis su tok in pacl inge elos ac fah meet.
and many first will be last, and last first.”
