< Matthew 18 >

1 In pacl sac, mwet tumal lutlut elos tuku ac siyuk sin Jesus, “Su fulat oemeet in Tokosrai lun kusrao uh?”
In that hour the disciples came to Yeshua [Salvation], saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven (God)?”
2 Na Jesus el pangonma tulik srisrik se ac sap elan tu ye mutalos,
Yeshua [Salvation] called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them,
3 ac el fahk, “Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, kowos fin tia ekla in oana tulik srisrik, kowos ac koflana ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun kusrao.
and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (God).
4 El su fulat oemeet in Tokosrai lun kusrao uh pa el su akpusiselyal in oana tulik se inge.
Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven (God).
5 Ac kutena mwet su eis sie tulik srisrik ouinge inek, el oayapa eisyu.
Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,
6 “Kutena mwet su fah aktukulkulye sie selos inge su srik su lulalfongiyu, ac wona nu sin mwet sacn in sripsripi sie eot wen inkwawal ac sisella elan walomla yen loal in meoa uh.
but whoever causes one of these little ones who trust in me to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea.
“Woe to the world because of occasions of sin ·scandal, trap snare, entrapment·! For it must be that the sins ·scandals, trap snares, entrapments· come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!
8 “Lac poum ku lac niom fin aktukulkulye kom, pakela ac sisla! Ac wo fin wanginla lac poum ku lac niom ac kom utyak nu in moul ma pahtpat, liki monum in fas ac sisiyang kom nu in e kawil. (aiōnios g166)
If your hand or your foot causes you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, cut it off, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
9 Ac la atronmotom fin aktukulkulye kom, tipalla ac sisla! Ac wo kom in utyak nu ke moul ma pahtpat wi atronmuta se na, liki atronmotom kewa in oasr ac sisiyang kom nu ke e lun hell. (Geenna g1067)
If your eye causes you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, pluck it out, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead) of fire. (Geenna g1067)
10 “Liyaung tuh kowos in tia pilesru kutena selos su srik inge. Nga fahk nu suwos, tuh lipufan lalos elos mutana ye mutun Papa tumuk inkusrao pacl e nukewa.” [
See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
11 Tuh Wen nutin Mwet el tuku in tuh molelosla su tuhlac.”]
For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.
12 “Mea kowos nunku mu sie mwet ac oru fin oasr sheep siofok natul, ac soko tuhlac? Ya el ac tia filiya ma eungoul eu in muta mongo pe eol uh, ac som suk ma soko ma tuhlac uh?
“What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does not he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray?
13 Ke el konauk, nga fahk nu suwos lah el ac engan yohk ke sheep soko ah, liki ma eungoul eu ma tia tuhlac uh.
If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
14 In ouiya se na inge, Papa tomowos inkusrao El tia lungse kutena selos su srik inge in tuhlac.
Even so it is not the will of 'Avikah shebashamayim ·your Father in Heaven· that one of these little ones should perish.
15 “Sie mwet lulalfongi fin orekma koluk lain kom, fahla nu yorol ac akkalemye ma sufal lal. Tusruktu, oru ma inge inmasrlomtal na. El fin porongekom, na orekma wo lom folokonulma.
“If your brother commits sin ·miss the mark and be without share· against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
16 A el fin tia porongekom, kom eis sie ku luo mwet in wi kom, tuh kas in alein nukewa in oasr akpwayeye sin mwet loh luo yak, oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk.
But if he does not listen, take one or two more with you so that every accusation can be supported by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
17 Ac el fin tia pacna porongalos, na kom fahkak ma nukewa nu sin church. Ac el fin srangesr lohng church, na kom tari oral oana sie mwet pegan, ku sie mwet eisani tax.
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
18 “Ke ma inge nga fahk nu suwos nukewa: Kutena ma kowos kapriya fin faclu, ac fah kapiri pac inkusrao; ac kutena ma kowos tulala faclu, ac fah taltalla pac inkusrao.
Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.
19 “Ac nga fahk pac nu suwos: Pacl nukewa ma luo suwos insese nu ke sie ma su kowos pre kac fin faclu, Papa tumuk inkusrao El ac fah oru nu suwos.
Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
20 Tuh yen nukewa ma oasr mwet luo ku tolu tukeni we inek, nga fah welulos pac.”
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”
21 Na Peter el tuku nu yurin Jesus ac fahk, “Mwet Luti, sie mwet lulalfongi wiuk fin nuna orekma koluk nu sik, pacl ekasr nga ac nunak munas nu sel kac? Ya pacl itkosr?”
Then Peter [Rock] came and said to him, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, how often shall my brother commit sin ·miss the mark and be without share· against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”
22 Ac Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Mo, tia pacl itkosr, a itngoul pacl itkosr,
Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
23 mweyen Tokosrai lun kusrao uh ouinge: Sie pacl ah tuh oasr sie tokosra su sulela in tuni soemoul lun mwet orekma lal.
Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven (God) is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.
24 El tufahna akoo in oru ma inge na utukyak sie selos su soemoul lal alukela million dollar.
When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.
25 Mani su oasr yurin mwet kulansap sac tia fal in molela soemoul lal, ke ma inge tokosra el sap in kukakinyukla el oana sie mwet kohs, wi mutan kial, tulik natul ac ma nukewa lal, in akfalye misa lal.
But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 Ke ma inge mwet kulansap sac putati nu ye mutun tokosra sac ac fahk, ‘Nunak munas, mongfisrasr nu sik, ac nga ac fah akfalye nu sum ma nukewa!’
The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’
27 Tokosra sac pakomutal ac nunak munas nu sel ac eela soemoul lal, na el fuhlella el som.
The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
28 “Na ke mwet sac el oatula, el sun sie sin mwet orekma wial su soemoul nu sel ke sie lupa na srisrik. El sruokilya ac iseya kwawal ac fahk, ‘Molema soemoul lom nu sik uh!’
“But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii (100 days wages), and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’
29 Mwet kulansap sac putati ye mutal ac fahk, ‘Nunak munas, mongfisrasr nu sik, ac nga fah akfalyela soemoul luk nu sum!’
“So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’
30 A el tia lungse lohng, ac el eisalang nu in presin tuh elan muta nwe ke na el akfalyela soemoul lal.
He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.
31 Ke mwet orekma wial saya elos liye ma inge, elos arulana toasr kac, ac som fahk ma nukewa nu sin tokosra sac.
So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
32 Na tokosra sac solama mwet sac ac fahk nu sel, ‘Kom sie mwet kulansap arulana koluk! Nga nunak munas nu sum ke ma nukewa kom soemoul nu sik kac, mweyen na kom kwafe nu sik.
Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.
33 Ya tia fal kom in nunak munas pac nu sin mwet kulansap se wiom ah, oana ke nga oru nu sum?’
Should not you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’
34 Tokosra el arulana kasrkusrak sel, ac supwalla nu in presin elan muta keok we nwe ke na el akfalyela soemoul lal nukewa.”
His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.
35 Ouinge Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Papa tumuk inkusrao El ac oru oapana inge nu suwos, kowos fin tia nunak munas nu sin mwet lulalfongi wiowos ke insiowos na pwaye.”
So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his lapse and deviation from truth.”
