< Matthew 12 >

1 Tia paht tukun ma inge, Jesus el fahsryak in sie ima in wheat ke len Sabbath. Mwet tumal lutlut elos masrinsral, ouinge elos mutawauk in kunesla wheat uh ac kang.
At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath through the cornfields; and His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears, and eat.
2 Ke mwet Pharisee liye ma inge, elos fahk nu sin Jesus, “Liye, mwet tumom lutlut elos lain Ma Sap lasr ke elos oru ma inge ke len Sabbath!”
And the Pharisees, seeing, said to Him, Behold thy disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.
And He said to them, Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and those with him?
4 El tuh utyak nu in lohm sin God, na el, ac mwet lal, elos mongo ke bread ma kisakinyukyang nu sin God, finne lain Ma Sap elos in mongo kac — mwet tol mukena pa lela nu se in kang bread inge.
How he came into the house of God, and ate the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor those with him, except the priests only?
5 Ku kowos tia pac rit in Ma Sap lal Moses lah ke len Sabbath nukewa, mwet tol su muta in Tempul elos kunaus pac ma sap lun len Sabbath a wangin mwatalos kac?
Have you not read in the law, that the priests in the temple do profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?
6 Nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su yohk liki Tempul.
But I say unto you, that there is One here greater than the temple.
7 Ma Simusla fahk mu, ‘Pakoten pa nga lungsik, ac tia mwe kisa.’ Kowos funu etu kalmen kas inge, kowos lukun tiana sang mwatan mwet su wangin ma koluk la;
But if ye had known what this is, I wish mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the innocent.
8 tuh Wen nutin Mwet el Leum lun len Sabbath.”
For the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath.
9 Jesus el fahsr liki acn sac ac som nu in sie iwen lolngok.
And having passed on thence, He came into their synagogue.
Na elos siyuk sin Jesus, “Ya ac lain Ma Sap lal Moses in akkeyala mas ke len Sabbath?”
And behold, there was a man having a withered hand. And they asked Him saying, Whether is it lawful to heal on Sabbath? that they might accuse Him.
11 Jesus el topuk ac fahk nu selos, “Ac fuka fin soko sheep nutin sie suwos putatyang nu in sie luf na loal ke len Sabbath? Ya el ac tia som sraklalak liki luf sac?
And He said to them; What man shall there he of you, who shall have one sheep, and if it shall fall into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not lay hold of it and lift it up?
12 Arulana yohk sripen sie mwet liki soko sheep! Ke ma inge, Ma Sap uh lela tuh kut in kasru mwet ke len Sabbath.”
Therefore how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
Then He says to the man, Reach forth thy hand. And he reached it forth and it was restored.
14 Na mwet Pharisee elos som ac pwapa in unilya Jesus.
And the Pharisees, having gone out, took counsel against I Him that they might destroy Him.
And Jesus having known it departed thence: and many multitudes followed him, and he healed them all.
And He charged them much that they should not make Him known.
17 El oru ouinge in akpwayei ma mwet palu Isaiah el fahkak kacl:
In order that the word spoken by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved in whom my soul took delight: I will place my Spirit upon Him, and He will proclaim judgment to the Gentiles.
19 El ac fah tia alein, ku wowoyak, Ku orek sramsram oraru inkanek uh.
He will not strive, nor scream, nor shall any one hear His voice in the streets.
The bruised reed He will not break, and He will not quench the smoking wick, until He may send forth judgment unto victory.
21 Ac mwet in mutunfacl nukewa ac fah filiya finsrak lalos in el.”
And in his name shall the Gentiles hope.
22 Na kutu mwet elos use sie mwet kun nu yurin Jesus su tia pac ku in kaskas mweyen oasr sie ngun fohkfok in el. Jesus el akkeyala mwet sac, na el ku in kaskas ac liye.
Then a demonized man was brought to Him, blind and dumb: and He healed him, so that the blind and dumb man both spake and saw.
23 U lulap sac arulana fwefela ke ma Jesus el oru.
And all the multitudes were astonished, and continued to say, Is not this the son of David?
24 Ke mwet Pharisee elos lohng ma inge, elos fahk, “El lusla ngun fohkfok inge ke sripen Beelzebul, leum lun ngun fohkfok uh, el sang ku nu sel in oru.”
And the Pharisees hearing, said, This man casts not out demons, except through Beelzebul the prince of the demons.
25 Jesus el etu ma elos nunku, ke ma inge el fahk nu selos, “Kutena facl lulap su sifacna amei inmasrlolos, ac fah tia oan paht. Ac kutena acn, ku sou, ma tukeni alein, ac fah musalla.
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself comes to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.
26 Ke ma inge, Satan el fin sisla Satan, kalmac pa el sifacna lainul, na tokosrai lal tia ku in oan paht.
And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?
27 Kowos fahk mu nga lusla ngun fohkfok mweyen Beelzebul el se ku nu sik in oru ouinge. Fin pwaye, na su sang ku nu sin mwet lowos in oru ma inge? Ma mwet lowos uh oru sifacna akkalemye lah kowos sutuela!
lf I through Beelzebul cast out demons, through whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
28 Mo, tia Beelzebul, a Ngun lun God pa ase nu sik ku in lusla ngun fohkfok inge, su akpwayei lah Tokosrai lun God tuku tari nu fowos.
But if I through the Spirit of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come nigh unto you.
29 “Wangin sie mwet ku in sifacna utyak nu in lohm sin sie mwet ku, ac usla ma lal el fin tia kapriya mwet ku sacn meet, na toko el fah ku in usla ma in lohm sel uh.
Or how is any one able to enter into the house of a strong man, and spoil his goods, unless he may first bind the strong man, and then he can spoil his house.
And the one not being with me is against me; and the one not gathering with me scatters abroad.
31 Ke sripa se inge, nga fahk nu suwos: Mwet uh ku in eis nunak munas ke kutena ma koluk, ku kutena kas fohkfok elos fahk; tusruktu, kutena mwet su fahk kutena kas koluk ke Ngun Mutal, fah tiana nunak munas nu sel kac.
Therefore I say unto you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 Kutena mwet su fahk kutena kas lain Wen nutin Mwet, ac ku in nunak munas nu sel kac; tusruktu, kutena mwet su fahk kutena kas lain Ngun Mutal, ac fah tia ku in nunak munas nu sel-tia inge, ku nwe tok. (aiōn g165)
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven unto him: but whosoever may speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven unto him, either in this age, or that which is to come. (aiōn g165)
33 “Fahko wo tuku ke sak ma ku; fin oasr soko sak ma munas, fahko kac ac fah koluk. Soko sak eteyuk ke fahko la.
Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by the fruit.
34 Kowos wet pwasin — kowos ku in fahk kas wo fuka ke kowos mwet koluk?
O ye generations of vipers, how are you, being evil, able to speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 Sie mwet wo el ac use ma wo liki ma wo el elosak in el; ac sie mwet koluk el ac use ma koluk liki ma koluk el elosak in el.
The good man, out of the good treasure (heart) brings forth good things: and the wicked man out of the wicked treasure (heart) brings forth wicked things.
36 “Nga fahk nu suwos lah ke Len in Nununku, kais sie mwet ac fah enenu in fahkak sripa lal ke kas lusrongten nukewa ma el fahkla.
And I say unto you, that every idle word whatsoever men shall speak, they shall give an account concerning the same in the day of judgment.
37 Kas lom sifacna ac fah touyak in nununkekom, in fahkak lah ac oasr mwatum, ku wangin.”
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shah be condemned.
38 Na kutu sin mwet luti ke Ma Sap ac kutu mwet Pharisee elos tuku ac fahk, “Mwet Luti, kut ke liye kom in oru sie mwe akul lulap sin God me.”
Then certain ones of the scribes and Pharisees responded, saying, Teacher, we wish to see a sign from Thee.
39 Na Jesus el fahk, “Fuka lupan koluk ac pilesru God lun mwet in pacl inge uh! Ya kowos ke liye sie mwe akul lulap? Mo! Pwayena mwe akul kowos ac liye pa mwe akul su tuh sikyak nu sel mwet palu Jonah.
He responding, said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and no sign shall be given unto it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 In ouiya se na ma Jonah el tuh muta len tolu ac fong tolu ke sien ik lulap soko ah, ouinge Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah oan ye fohk uh len tolu ac fong tolu.
For as Jonah was in the stomach of the whale three days and three nights, so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
41 Ke Len in Nununku uh, mwet Nineveh elos ac mau tuyak ac orek loh lain kowos, mweyen elos tuh forla liki ma koluk lalos ke elos lohng luti lal Jonah. Ac nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su yohk lukel Jonah!
The men of Nineveh will rise in judgment with this generation, and condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
42 Ke Len in Nununku uh, Kasra lun Sheba el ac mau tuyak ac orek loh lain kowos, mweyen el tuh tuku liki acn sel su oan yen loeslana, in tuh porongo kas lalmwetmet lal Solomon. Ac nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su arulana yohk lukel Solomon!
The queen of the south will rise in judgment with this generation, and condemn it: because she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold a greater than Solomon is here.
43 Ke pacl sie ngun fohkfok el illa liki sie mwet, el ac forfor yen wangin kof we in suk acn elan muta we. El fin tia ku in konauk,
And when the unclean spirit may go out from the man, he goes through dry places seeking rest, and finds none.
44 na el ac nunku in el sifacna, ‘Nga ac folokla nu in lohm se nga muta we meet ah,’ na ke el folokla, el liye lah lohm sel uh wangin koano-imonyukla ac arulana nasnas.
Then he says, I will return to my own house whence I came out; and having come, he finds it empty, swept, and beautified.
45 Na el ac sifil illa ac solama itkosr pac ngun ma koluk lukel, na elos ac tuku ac muta in lohm sac. Na saflaiyen mwet sac arulana koluk liki meet ah. Pa inge ma ac sikyak nu sin mwet koluk in len inge uh.”
Then he goes, and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and having come in dwells there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So it will also be with this wicked generation.
Elos tu na likinuma ac siyuk elos in sramsram nu sel.
And He yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and His brothers stood without, seeking to speak to Him.
And a certain one said to Him; Behold, thy mother and thy brothers stand without, seeking to speak to thee.
And He responding said to the one speaking to Him; Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?
49 Na el srisrngiya mwet tumal lutlut ac fahk, “Liye! Pa inge nina kiuk ac mwet wiuk uh!
And reaching forth His hand to His disciples, He said, Behold my mother and my brothers!
50 Kutena mwet su oru ma lungse lun Papa tumuk inkusrao, el pa mwet lik ac mwet louk ac nina kiuk.”
For whosoever may do the will of my Father who is in the heavens, the same is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.
