< Matthew 10 >

1 Jesus el pangoneni mwet tumal lutlut singoul luo ac sang ku nu selos in sisla ngun fohkfok ac akkeyala kain in mas nukewa.
Then Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority to cast out unclean spirits and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 Pa inge inen mwet sap singoul luo ah: mwet se meet uh pa Simon (su pangpang Peter), ac Andrew mwet lel; James, ac John mwet lel, su wen natul Zebedee;
Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3 Phillip ac Bartholomew; Thomas ac Matthew, mwet eisani tax; James wen natul Alphaeus, ac Thaddaeus;
Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was given the name Thaddaeus;
4 Simon mwet Zealot; ac Judas Iscariot, su tukakunak Jesus.
Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
5 Jesus el supwala mwet singoul luo inge ac fahk nu selos ma elos in oru: “Nimet kowos som nu in kutena acn sin mwet pegan, ku nu in acn sin mwet Samaria.
These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Do not go anywhere among the Gentiles, and do not enter any town of the Samaritans,
6 A kowos in som nu yurin sheep tuhlac lun Israel.
but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 Kowos som ac luti ac fahk, ‘Tokosrai lun kusrao apkuran me!’
As you go, preach that the kingdom of heaven has drawn near.
8 Akkeyala mwet mas, akmoulyauk mwet misa, aknasnasyela mwet musen lepa, ac lusak ngun fohkfok uh. Kowos eis ku inge ke wangin molo, ouinge kowos in tia pac eis molin ma kowos oru.
Heal the sick, cleanse lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
9 Nimet kowos us kutena mani orek ke gold, silver, ku copper in mwe neinyuk mani lowos an.
Take no gold, silver, or copper in your belts.
10 Nimet us kutena pak, ku nuknuk in ayaol, ku fahluk, ku sikal in fahsr lowos an. Tuh fal in itukyang nu sin sie mwet orekma mwe enenu lal.
Take no knapsack for your journey, no extra tunic, sandals, or staffs, for the worker is worthy of his food.
11 “Ke kowos tuku nu in sie acn, kowos suk lah ac oasr mwet insewowo in eis kowos, ac muta yorol nwe ke na pacl kowos ac som liki acn sacn.
Whenever you enter a town or village, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you leave that place.
12 Kowos fin utyak nu in sie lohm, paing mwet in lohm sac.
As you enter the house, greet the people who live there.
13 Mwet in lohm sacn fin eis kowos, lela painguk in misla lowos in oan faclos; a elos fin tia eis kowos, na painguk lowos in folok nu fowos.
If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 Ac fin wangin mwet in lohm sac ku siti sac engan in eis kowos ku lohng mwe luti lowos, na kowos som liki acn sacn, ac osrokla kutkut ye niowos an we.
If anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you go out from that house or town.
15 Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos lah ke Len in Nununku, God El ac akkalemye pakomuta lal nu sin mwet in acn Sodom ac Gomorrah liki na mwet in acn sac!
Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.
16 “Porongo ma nga fahk inge! Nga supwekowosla oana sheep nu inmasrlon un kosro wolf uh. Kowos in ngusrik oana serpent, ac efahl oana wuleoa uh.
“Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves, so be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.
17 Taran kowos, tuh oasr mwet ac fah sruokkowosi ac uskowosyak nu in nununku, ac elos ac fah sringil kowos in iwen lolngok uh.
But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and flog you in their synagogues.
18 Ke sripuk, ac fah utukyak kowos in nununkeyuk ye mutun mwet leum ac tokosra, tuh kowos in fahkak Pweng Wo nu selos ac nu sin mwet pegan.
For my sake you will even be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Mwet uh fin uskowosyak nu in nununku, nik kowos fosrngakin kas ma kowos ac fahk, ac lah kowos ac fahk fuka; in pacl sacn, ac fah itukot ma kowos in fahk.
When they hand you over, do not be anxious about how to speak or what to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
20 Tuh kas su kowos ac fahk uh ac tia kas lowos; ac fah tuku sin Ngun lun Papa tomowos tuh kowos in fahk.
For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
21 “Mwet uh ac fah sifacna kitala mwet wialos in anwuki, ac papa uh ac fah oru oapana nu sin tulik natulos uh. Tulik ac fah forla lain papa ac nina kialos, ac eisalosyang in anwuki elos.
Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.
22 Mwet nukewa ac fah kwase kowos ke sripuk. Tusruktu elos nukewa su muteng nwe ke safla, elos fah moul.
You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 Elos fin akkeokye kowos in sie siti, na kowos kaingla nu in sie pacna siti. Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, kowos ac soenna aksafyela orekma lowos in acn Israel a Wen nutin Mwet el ac foloko.
When they persecute you in one town, flee to another, for truly I say to you, you will certainly not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
24 “Wangin mwet lutlut el fulat liki mwet luti lal; ac wangin mwet kohs el fulat liki leum lal.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor is a servant above his master.
25 Ke ma inge, sie mwet lutlut in falkin el fin sun lupan etu lun mwet luti lal, ac sie mwet kohs in falkin el fin sun lupan ku lun mwet kacto lal. Fin pangpang sifen sou se Beelzebul, mwet in sou lal uh ac fah pangpang ke ine ma koluk liki.
It is sufficient for a disciple to be like his teacher and for a servant to be like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!
26 “Ke ma inge, nimet kowos sangeng sin mwet uh. Kutena ma su afyufi inge ac fah ikakla, ac ma lukma nukewa ac fah akkalemyeyuk.
“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
27 Ma su nga fahkot nu suwos in lohsr uh, kowos fahkelik in acn kalem; ac kutena ma su kowos lohng in lukma, kowos fahkelik fin mangon lohm uh.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 Nik kowos sangeng selos su ac uniya mano mukena, a elos tia ku in uniya ngun. A kowos in sangeng sin God, su ku in kunausla kewana mano ac ngun in hell. (Geenna g1067)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, but rather fear him who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell. (Geenna g1067)
29 Tuh kowos ku in molela won sparrow luo ke ipin cent se na, a tia siefanna sin sparrow inge ku in putatla nu infohk uh Papa inkusrao El fin tia lela.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's consent.
30 A funu kowos, finne aunsifowos, oaoala pac tari.
And even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Ke ma inge, nik kowos sangeng, tuh kowos arulana saok liki won sparrow puspis!
So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
32 “Mwet se fin fahkak ye mutun mwet uh lah el ma luk, nga ac fah oru oapana nu sel ye mutun Papa tumuk inkusrao.
“Therefore everyone who acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
33 A mwet se fin lafwekinyu ye mutun mwet uh, nga ac fah lafwekunul ye mutun Papa tumuk inkusrao.
But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
34 “Nimet nunku mu nga tuku in ase misla nu faclu. Mo, nga tia tuku in ase misla, a sie cutlass.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 Nga tuku in oru tuh wen uh in lain papa tumalos, ac acn uh in lain nina kialos, ac mutan payuk uh in lain nina talupalos.
For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Mwet lokoalok lun sie mwet ac fah mwet na in sou lal uh.
And a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
37 “Kutena mwet su lungse papa tumal ku nina kial yohk likiyu, el tia fal tuh elan mwet tumuk lutlut. Kutena mwet su lungse wen ku acn natul yohk likiyu, el tia fal in mwet tumuk lutlut.
Whoever loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; whoever loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 El su tia srukak sakseng lal ac fahsr tukuk, el tia fal in mwet tumuk lutlut.
And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
39 El su suk in molela moul lal, ac fah tuhlac lukel; a el su tuhlac moul lal ke sripuk, fah konauk moul lal.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 “El su eis kowos, el eisyu; ac el su eisyu, el eisal su supweyume.
“Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
41 El su engan in eis sie mwet tutafpo lun God ke sripen el sie mwet tutafpo, ac fah wi eis molin orekma lun sie mwet tutafpo. Ac el su engan in eis sie mwet wo ke sripen el wo, ac fah wi eis molin orekma wo lal.
Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; whoever receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.
42 Kowos in etu lah el su sang finne ahlu in kof ohu se nu sin sie su pusisel oemeet sin mwet luk mweyen el fahsr tukuk, pwayena lah el ac fah eis molin orekma lal.”
And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he will certainly not lose his reward.”
