< Mark 7 >
1 Kutu mwet Pharisee, oayapa kutu mwet luti Ma Sap ma tuku Jerusalem me, elos tukeni nu yurin Jesus.
Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
2 Ac elos liye lah kutu sin mwet tumal lutlut elos mongo ke elos tiana aknasnasye paolos in oana ouiya se ma mwet Pharisee elos oakiya nu sin mwet uh.
And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
3 (Tuh mwet Pharisee ac mwet Jew nukewa elos oru oana ke mwet matu lalos tuh luti nu selos: elos tia ku in mongo elos fin tia aknasnasye paolos oana oakwuk lalos;
For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 ku tia pac kang kutena ma su tuku nien kuka me elos fin tia aknasnasye meet. Ac elos akfalye pac ouiya puspis ma elos eis sin mwet matu lalos, oana ouiya nu ke aknasnasye cup, tup, ahlu bronze, ac mwe oan.)
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
5 Ouinge mwet Pharisee ac mwet luti Ma Sap elos siyuk sel Jesus, “Efu ku mwet tomom lutlut elos tia fahsr fal nu ke mwe luti ma kut eis sin mwet matu lasr, a elos mongo ke paolos tia aknasnasyeyukla?”
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Pwayena kas in palu lal Isaiah keiwos! Kowos mwet wosounkas, oana ma el simusla ke el fahk, ‘God El fahk, Mwet inge sunakinyu ke kas lalos, A insialos loesla likiyu.
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Wangin sripa elos in alu nu sik, Mweyen elos luti oakwuk ma mwet uh orala Oana in ma sap luk!’
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 “Kowos pilesru ma God El sapkin, ac ukwe mwe luti lun mwet uh.”
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 Ac el fahk pac nu selos, “Kowos arulana usrnguk in konauk inkanek in sisla ma sap lun God tuh kowos in sruokyana kas matu lowos.
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 Tuh Moses el fahk, ‘Sunakin papa tomom ac nina kiom,’ oayapa el fahk, ‘El su selngawi papa tumal ku nina kial, fah anwuki el.’
For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 A kowos fahk mu sie mwet fin oasr ma el ku in sang kasru papa ku nina kial, a el fahk mu ‘Corban,’ (kalmac pa, Itukyang nu sin God),
But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 na kowos fuhlella mu el tia enenu in kasru papa tumal ku nina kial.
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Ke kowos oru ouinge, kowos aklusrongtenye kas lun God ke kowos luti nu sin mwet uh oakwuk lun mwet matu lowos. Ac oasr pac ma puspis ouinge ma kowos oru.”
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
14 Na Jesus el sifil pangonma un mwet uh nu yorol ac fahk nu selos, “Kowos nukewa in porongeyu ac kalem kac.
And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15 Tia ma ilyak nu in sie mwet pa ku in akfohkfokyal, a ma su illa liki sie mwet pa ac akfohkfokyal.
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 Kowos in porongo, fin oasr srewos.”
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Ke el som liki un mwet uh ac ilyak nu in lohm uh, mwet tumal lutlut elos siyuk elan aketeya pupulyuk se inge.
And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 Ac el fahk nu selos, “Ya kowos nikin oapana mwet uh? Mea, kowos tia kalem lah wangin kutena ma su ilyak nu in mwet se ku in akfohkfokyal,
And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 mweyen mau tia ilyak nu in nunak lal, a nu insial ac illa liki insial.” (Ke el fahk ouinge, el akkalemye lah mwe mongo nukewa nasnas in mongo kac.)
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 Ac El sifilpa fahk, “Ma su illa liki sie mwet pa ac akfohkfokyal.
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 Tuh liki insien sie mwet nunak koluk uh sikyak ma kolol in kosro, pisrapasr, akmas,
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 kosro inmasrlon mwet payuk, rapku, oru ouiya koluk; kutasrik, elah koluk, ngetnget in mwel, lesrik, inse fulat, ac supoklot.
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 Ma koluk inge nukewa tuku luin sie mwet ac akfohkfokyalla.”
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
24 Na Jesus el illa ac som nu in acn apkuran nu ke siti Tyre. El utyak nu in sie lohm ac tia lungse mwet uh in etu lah el oasr we, tusruktu el koflana wikla.
And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
25 Ac sie mutan su acn natul oasr ngun fohkfok yorol, ke el lohng ke Jesus, el sulaklak na tuku nu yorol ac putati nu ke nial.
For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 Mutan sac el sie mutan pegan su isusla in acn Phoenicia in facl Syria. El kwafe sin Jesus elan sisla demon uh liki acn natul.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 A Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Lela kut in kiteya tulik uh meet. Tia wo in eisla mongo nun tulik ac sisla nu sin kosro ngalngul.”
But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 Mutan sac topuk ac fahk, “Aok Leum, tusruktu finne kosro ngalngul ye tepu uh, elos kang pac kutkut in mongo nun tulik uh.”
And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
29 Ouinge Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Ke sripen top lom an, folokla nu in lohm sum ac kom ac fah liye lah demon sac illa tari liki acn nutum!”
And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 Na mutan sac som nu lohm sel ac liye lah tulik se natul ah oan fin mwe oan kial, ac demon sac som lukel tari.
And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
31 Ac Jesus el sifil som liki acn atulani in acn Tyre ac fahsr sasla acn Sidon nu ke Lulu Galilee, ut ke inkanek ma fahsr nu ke Siti Singoul ah.
And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 Kutu mwet elos use sie mwet sulohngkas ac kas lohlo nu yurin Jesus, ac elos kwafe sel tuh elan filiya paol nu facl.
And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 Ac Jesus el usalla liki un mwet uh nu yen eltal mukena we, na el sang kufinpaol nu insracl, ac el anila ac kahlye lohul.
And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 Na Jesus el ngetak nu inkusrao ac saola ac fahk nu sin mwet sac, [“Ephphatha”], oana fahk, “In ikakla!”
And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 In pacl sacna sren mukul sac ikakla, ac ma kapriyen lohul taltalla, ac el kaskas kalem.
And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
36 Na Jesus el sap ku nu sin mwet uh elos in tia fahk nu sin kutena mwet. A ke el akyokye in wili tuh elos in tia fahk, elos arulana akyokye fahkak lalos ke ma el oru.
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
37 Ac elos nukewa su lohng kac, elos arulana lut ac fahk, “Ma nukewa el oru uh wolana! El oru mwet sulohngkas in ku in lohng, ac mwet kofla kas in ku in kaskas!”
And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
