< Luke 24 >

1 Toang na ke len se emeet in wik, mutan inge som nu ke kulyuk uh ac us mwe keng ma elos akoela ah.
but, on the first day of the week, at early dawn, unto the tomb, came they, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 Elos liyauk lah eot sac ipisyukla liki mutun kulyuk sac,
And they found the stone, rolled away from the tomb;
3 na elos utyak nu loac; tusruktu elos tiana konauk monin Leum Jesus.
but, when they entered, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Elos arulana fohsak ke ma inge, na in kitin pacl ah na mwet luo tu me siskalos su nukum nuknuk na saromrom.
And it came to pass, while they were perplexing themselves concerning this, that lo! two men, stood near them, in dazzling raiment.
5 Mutan uh arulana sangeng ac faksufi ke mwet luo ah fahk nu selos, “Efu kowos ku suk el su moul inmasrlon mwet misa?
And, they becoming afraid, and bending their faces unto the ground, they said unto them—Why seek ye the Living One with the dead?
6 El tia oasr inge; el akmoulyeyukyak tari. Esam ma el tuh fahk nu suwos ke el muta Galilee ah:
He is not here, but hath arisen: Remember how he spake unto you while yet he was in Galilee:
7 ‘Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah itukyang nu inpoun mwet koluk, ac el ac fah anwuki fin sakseng soko, na tukun len tolu el ac fah sifil moulyak.’”
Saying, as to the Son of Man, that he must needs be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, —and, on the third day, arise.
8 Na mutan uh elos esamak kas lal inge,
And they remembered his sayings;
9 ac folokla liki kulyuk uh, ac fahkak ma inge nukewa nu sin mwet singoul sie, weang pac mwet wialos saya.
and, returning [from the tomb], reported all these things unto the eleven, and unto all the rest.
10 Mutan inge pa Mary Magdalene, Joanna, ac Mary nina kial James. Eltal, ac kutu pac mutan saya ma welultal, pa tukeni fahkak ma inge nu sin mwet sap uh.
Now they were the Magdalene Mary, and Joana, and Mary the mother of James; and, the other women with them, were telling, unto the apostles, these things.
11 A mwet sap elos nunku mu mutan inge sramsram wel, oru elos tiana lulalfongelos. [
And these sayings appeared before them, as if idle talk, and they were minded to disbelieve them.
12 Tusruktu Peter el tuyak ac kasrusr nu ke kulyuk uh. El kui nu ten ac liyauk nuknuk linen mukena. Na el folokla nu lohm sel ac arulana fwefela ke ma sikyak uh.]
But, Peter, arising, ran unto the tomb, —and, bending near, beholdeth the linen bandages, alone; and departed, unto himself, marvelling at the thing that had happened.
13 In len sac pacna, luo pac selos fahsr in som nu in sie siti srisrik pangpang Emmaus, sahp ac mael itkosr liki acn Jerusalem,
And lo! two from among them, on the selfsame day, were journeying unto a village, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, the name of which, was Emmaus;
14 ac eltal tukeni sramsramkin ma nukewa ma sikyak uh.
and, they, were conversing one with another, about all these things which had occurred.
15 Ke eltal kaskas ac asiyuki ke ma inge, Jesus sifacna el kalukyang nu yoroltal ac welultal fahsr.
And it came to pass, as they were conversing and reasoning together, that, Jesus himself, drawing near, was journeying with them;
16 Eltal liyal, tusruktu eltal tiana akilenul.
but, their eyes, were held, so as not to know him.
17 Jesus el fahk nu seltal, “Mea komtal fahsr srumun an?” Eltal tukeni tui, ac ngetnget in asor.
And he said unto them—What are these things which ye are debating one with another, as ye walk along? And they came to a stand, sad in countenance.
18 Sie seltal su pangpang Cleopas el siyuk sel, “Mea, kom mukena pa mwet mutwata se nu Jerusalem ma tia etu ke ma orek we ke len ekasr somla me?”
But one, by name Cleopas, answering, said unto him—Art, thou, lodging, alone, in Jerusalem, and knowest not the things which have come to pass therein in these days?
19 Ac Jesus el siyuk, “Mea ingan?” Na eltal fahk, “Ma uh ma sikyak nu sel Jesus lun Nazareth. Mwet se inge el sie mwet palu, su kas in luti ac orekma lal arulana ku ye mutun God ac mwet uh.
And he said unto them—What things? And, they, said unto him—The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, mighty in work and word, before God and all the people:
20 Mwet tol fulat lasr ac mwet kol saya elos eisalang in nununkeyuk, na elos wotela elan anwuki fin sakseng.
In what way also our High-priests and Rulers delivered him up unto a sentence of death, and crucified him.
21 Ac kut tuh finsrak mu el pa ac aksukosokyela Israel uh! Sayen ma inge, misenge len se aktolu tukun ma inge sikyak.
We, however, were hoping that, he, was the one destined to redeem Israel! But indeed, even with all these things, this brings on, the third, day, since these things happened: —
22 Kutu sin mutan ke u lasr uh aklutye kut. Elos toang na som nu ke kulyuk sac,
Nay! certain women also, from amongst us, have made us beside ourselves, in that they went early unto the tomb;
23 tuh tia ku in konauk manol. Elos foloko ac fahk lah elos liye sie aruruma ke lipufan, su fahk nu seltal mu el sifil moul.
and, not finding his body, came, saying—that, a vision of messengers, they had seen, who were affirming him to be alive.
24 Kutu sin mwet wiasr uh som nu ke kulyuk sac ac konauk oana ma mutan elos srumun ah, tusruk elos tiana liyalak.”
And certain of them who were with us departed unto the tomb, —and found so, according as, the women, had said; but, him, they saw not.
25 Na Jesus el fahk nu seltal, “Pwaye lah komtal arulana afon! Efu ku pahtlac fuk komtal in lulalfongi ma nukewa ma mwet palu ah fahk?
And, he, said unto them—O thoughtless ones! and slow in heart to rest your faith upon all things which the prophets have spoken: —
26 Ya tia eneneyuk tuh Christ elan keok ke ma inge, na el fah utyak nu in wolana lal?”
Was it not needful for the Christ, these very things, to suffer, and to enter into his glory?
27 Ac Jesus el aketeya nu seltal ma fwack kacl in Ma Simusla nukewa, mutawauk ke book lal Moses, fahsru nu ke ma simla sin mwet palu nukewa.
And, beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, he thoroughly explained to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning himself.
28 Ke eltal apkuran in sun siti srisrik se eltal fahsr nu we ah, Jesus el oru acnu mu el ac fahla na.
And they drew near unto the village, whither they were journeying; and, he, made for journeying, further.
29 Tuh eltal ikolilya ac fahk, “Tari muta yorosr, mweyen fongeni pa inge.” Ouinge el utyak ac mongla yoroltal.
And they constrained him, saying—Abide with us; because it is, towards evening, and the day hath already declined. And he went in to abide with them.
30 El muta in welultal mongo, na el eis bread ac pre lac kac, na el kunsalik ac sang nu seltal.
And it came to pass, when he reclined with them, taking the loaf, he blessed, and, breaking it, went on to give unto them.
31 Na ikakla mutaltal ac eltal akilenulak, ac in pacl sacna el wanginla liki ye mutaltal.
And, their, eyes were opened, and they knew him; and, he, vanished from them.
32 Na eltal fahk nu sin sie sin sie, “Ya insiasr tia fusrfusryak ke engan, oana sie e tayak in kut, ke el sramsram nu sesr inkanek uh ac aketeya nu sesr ke Ma Simusla?”
And they said one to another—Was not, our heart, burning, as he was speaking to us in the way, as he was opening to us the Scriptures?
33 Eltal sulaklak na tuyak ac folokla nu Jerusalem ac konauk mwet tuma lutlut singoul sie, wi kutu pac mwet saya uh,
And, arising in that very hour, they returned unto Jerusalem, —and found, gathered together, the eleven, and them who were with them,
34 su fahk nu seltal, “Pwayena lah Leum el moulyak! El sikyang nu sel Simon!”
saying—In truth, the Lord hath arisen, and hath appeared unto Simon!
35 Na mwet luo ah akkalemye nu selos ma sikyak inkanek ah, ac ke eltal akilenak Leum ke el kunsalik bread uh.
And, they, went on to relate the things, [that had passed] on the journey, and how he was made known unto them in the breaking of the loaf.
36 Ke pacl se eltal srakna srumun ma inge, Jesus sifacna el sikyak inmasrlolos [ac fahk nu selos, “Misla nu suwos.”]
Now, as, these very things, they were telling, he himself, stood in their midst and saith unto them—Peace to you!
37 Elos arulana tuninfongla, ac nunku mu elos liyauk inut se.
But, being agitated and becoming, afraid, they began to imagine, that, upon a spirit, they were looking.
38 Na el fahk nu selos, “Efu kowos ku sangeng? Efu kowos ku alolo in nunak lowos uh?
And he said unto them—Why are ye troubled? and for what cause do reasonings arise in your hearts?
39 Ngetma liye pouk ac niuk, ac liye lah nga pa inge. Kahlyuwi na kowos ac fah etu na pwaye, tuh inut uh wangin ikwa ac sri kac oana ke kowos liye keik uh.” [
See my hands, and my feet, —that it is, I, myself: Handle me, and see! because, a spirit, hath not, flesh and bones, as ye perceive, I, have.
40 El fahk ma inge, ac kolang paol ac nial nu selos.]
And, this saying, he pointed out to them his hands and his feet.
41 Elos srakna tia ku in lulalfongi, ke sripen arulana yohk fwefela ac engan lalos. Na el siyuk selos, “Ya oasr mongo yuruwos inge?”
Now, while yet they believed not for the joy, and were marvelling, he said unto them—Have ye anything to eat, here?
42 Elos sang nu sel ipin ik manman se,
And they gave unto him a piece of boiled fish;
43 ac el eis ac kang ye mutalos.
and, taking it before them, he did eat.
44 Na el fahk nu selos, “Pa inge ma nga tuh fahk nu suwos ke nga srakna muta yuruwos ah: Ma nukewa ma simla keik in Masap lal Moses, in ma simusla lun mwet palu, ac in book in [Psalm] uh enenu na in akpwayeiyukla.”
And he said unto them—These, are my words, which I spake unto you yet being with you: That all the things that are written in the law of Moses and the Prophets and Psalms, concerning me, must needs be fulfilled.
45 Na el ikasla nunak lalos in kalem ke Ma Simusla uh,
Then, opened he their mind, to understand the Scriptures;
46 ac fahk nu selos, “Pa inge ma simla uh: Christ el ac fah keok, ac el ac fah moulyak liki misa ke len se aktolu,
and said unto them—Thus, it is written, That the Christ, should suffer, and arise from among the dead on the third day;
47 ac ke inel, pweng ke auliyak ac nunak munas ke ma koluk enenu in lutiyuk in facl nukewa, mutawauk Jerusalem.
And that repentance for remission of sins should be proclaimed upon his name unto all the nations, —beginning from Jerusalem.
48 Kowos mwet loh ke ma inge.
Ye, are witnesses of these things.
49 Ac nga ac fah supwama nu fowos ma su Papa tumuk El wulela kac. Tusruktu kowos enenu in mutana in siti uh nwe ke na ku lucng me fah tuku nu fowos.”
And lo! I, am sending forth the promise of my Father upon you; but tarry, ye, in the city, until ye be clothed, from on high, with power.
50 Na el kololosla nu likin siti uh ac som apkuran nu Bethany, ac el srukak paol nu faclos ac akinsewowoyalos.
And he led them forth as far as unto Bethany; and, uplifting his hands, he blessed them.
51 Ke pacl se el akinsewowoyalos inge, el som lukelos, [ac utukyak el nu inkusrao.]
And it came to pass, while he was blessing them, he parted from them and was born up into heaven.
52 Elos alu nu sel, tari elos folokla nu Jerusalem, sesseslana ke engan,
And, they, having bowed down unto him returned unto Jerusalem, with great joy;
53 ac len nukewa elos muta in Tempul ac sang kulo nu sin God.
and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
