< Luke 12 >
1 Ke tausin puspis mwet fahsreni ac elos asinukiyak ac longya sie sin sie, na Jesus el mutawauk in sramsram meet nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Kowos karinginkowosyang liki mwe pulol lun mwet Pharisee inge — nga kaskas ke wosounkas lalos uh.
Meanwhile, when the crowd had gathered together by the thousands, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Kutena ma afyufi ac fah ikakla, ac ma wikla nukewa ac fah eteyuk.
There is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
3 Ke ma inge, kutena ma kowos fahkla yen lohsr uh ac fah lohngyuk in acn kalem, ac kutena ma kowos mahmai in lukma, ac fah sulkakinyuk ke pusra lulap nu sin mwet nukewa.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in anyone's ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 “Nga fahk nu suwos, mwet kawuk luk, nik kowos sangeng sin mwet su ku in uniya mano, a wangin ma elos ku in oru toko.
“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do.
5 Nga ac fahkak nu suwos lah su fal kowos in sangeng se uh: Sangeng sin God, su tukun El uniya, oasr ku lal in sisla nu in hell. Aok, El na pa kowos in sangeng se uh! (Geenna )
But I will tell you whom you should fear: Fear him who has authority to throw you into hell after your body has been killed. Yes, I tell you, fear him! (Geenna )
6 “Ya tia kukakinyukla won sparrow limekosr ke cent luo? Ne ouinge a God El tiana mulkunla siefanna selos.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God.
7 Finne aunsifowos, oaoala nukewa tari. Ke ma inge, nik kowos sangeng; kais sie suwos arulana saok liki sparrow puspis!
Indeed, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
8 “Nga fahk nu suwos, kutena mwet su fahkyuyak ye mutun mwet uh, nga, Wen nutin Mwet, fah oayapa fahkulak ye mutun lipufan lun God.
“I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God,
9 A kutena mwet su lafwekinyu ye mutun mwet uh, nga, Wen nutin Mwet, fah oayapa lafwekunul ye mutun lipufan lun God.
but whoever denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
10 “Kutena mwet su kaskas lain Wen nutin Mwet, ac ku in nunak munas nu sel; a kutena mwet su fahk kas enum lain Ngun Mutal, ac fah tia nunak munas nu sel kac.
And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11 “Ke elos ac uskowosyak in nununkeyuk kowos in iwen lolngok uh, ku ye mutun governor ku mwet leum saya uh, nimet sensen lah mea kowos ac sang topkolos, ku lah mea kowos ac fahk in aksuwosye kowos.
When you are brought before synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not be anxious about how or what you should speak in your own defense, or what you should say,
12 Mweyen Ngun Mutal ac fah luti nu suwos in pacl sac ma kowos in fahk.”
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you should say.”
13 Sie sin mwet ke u lulap sac fahk nu sin Jesus, “Mwet Luti, fahk nu sin tamulel luk in kitalik in fal mwe usru lasr sin papa tumasr.”
Then someone from among the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.”
14 Jesus el topuk nu sel, “Mukul, su srisrngiyuwi in mwet nununku lomtal, ku in kitalik mwe usru inmasrlomtal uh?”
But Jesus said to him, “Man, who appointed me as a judge or arbitrator over you?”
15 Ac el sifilpa fahk nu selos nukewa, “Liyaung ac karingin kowos liki kain in rapku nukewa, mweyen moul na pwaye lun sie mwet tia ma ke ma su oasr lal, el finne arulana kasrup.”
Then he said to them, “Watch out and be on your guard against covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
16 Na Jesus el fahk nu selos pupulyuk se inge: “Oasr mwet kasrup se su acn lal uh oswe kain fokinsak na wowo.
And he told them a parable: “The land of a certain rich man produced abundantly.
17 El mutawauk in sifacna nunku in el, ‘Wangin acn in nwanak fokin ima nukewa luk inge we. Mea nga ac oru uh?’
So he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I do not have anywhere to store my crops?’
18 Na el sifacna nunku mu, ‘Pa inge ma nga ac oru: nga ac kunausya lohm in filma luk inge ac musaela pac kutu in yohk liki, yen nga ac filiya fokin ima ac ma luk nukewa we.
Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my produce and my goods.
19 Na nga fah fahk nu sik sifacna, Wo nu sum! Ma puspis ma lom ilusyukyak oan, yolyak in akfalye enenu lom nu ke yac puspis fahsru uh. Inge kom mongla na, mongo, nim ac akinsewowoye kom sifacna!’
And I will say to my soul, “Soul, yoʋ have many goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, and be merry.”’
20 A God El fahk nu sel, ‘Kom mwet lalfon! Ofong moul lom ac fah itukla liki kom; na ac lun su ma inge nukewa ma kom elosak?’”
But God said to him, ‘Yoʋ fool! This very night yoʋr life will be demanded back from yoʋ, and the things yoʋ have prepared, whose will they be?’
21 Na Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Pa inge ma ac sikyak nu sin mwet su elosak mwe kasrup nu selos sifacna, ac tia kasrup ye mutun God uh.”
This is how it will be with anyone who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
22 Na Jesus el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Pa inge sripa se oru nga fahk nu suwos kowos in tia fosrnga ke mwe mongo ma kowos enenu nu ke moul lowos, ku ke nuknuk nu ke monuwos.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.
23 Tuh moul lowos arulana saok liki mwe mongo, ac monuwos saok liki na nuknuk.
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
24 Nunku ke won yen engyeng uh: elos tia taknelik ku kosrani, ac wangin nien filma lalos ku iwen mongo nalos, a God El kitalos. Ya kowos tia arulana saok liki won uh?
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap; they have no storehouse or barn, yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than birds?
25 Su suwos ac ku in akloesye moul lal el fin fosrnga kac?
Which of you by being anxious can add a single moment to yoʋr span of life?
26 Na kowos fin kofla orala ma na srisrik ouinge, efu kowos ku fosrnga ke ma saya uh?
If then you cannot even do a very little thing like that, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Liye luman kapak lun kiuf inima uh. Elos tia orekma ku tuta nuknuk lalos. Ac nga fahk nu suwos lah finne Tokosra Solomon su arulana yohk kasrup lal, nuknuk lal uh tia kato oana sie sin ros kiuf inge.
Consider the lilies, how they grow: They do not toil or spin, yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these.
28 God pa yunela mah inima inge uh, su oan misenge, na lutu isisyak ac wanginla. Ya El ac fah tia yunikowosla in arulana wo liki? Arulana srikla lulalfongi lowos uh!
Now if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 “Ke ma inge, nik kowos sisla pacl lowos in suk ac arulana fosrnga ke ma kowos ac kang ku nim.
And do not be concerned about what you will eat or what you will drink; do not be anxious about such things.
30 (Tuh mwet pegan fin faclu elos suk ma inge in pacl nukewa.) Papa tomowos El etu lah kowos enenu ma inge.
For the nations of the world seek after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.
31 A kowos in suk Tokosrai lal, ac El ac fah asot pac ma inge nu suwos.
Rather, seek the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.
32 Nikmet sangeng, kowos finne u srisrik se, tuh Papa tomowos El insewowo in asot Tokosrai nu suwos.
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.
33 Kukakunla ma lowos nukewa ac sang mani an nu sin mwet sukasrup uh. Akoela nu suwos mwe neinyuk mani ma ac tia kulawi, ac elosak mwe kasrup lowos inkusrao, yen ma ac fah tiana srikeni we, mweyen wangin mwet pisrapasr ac fah utyak nu we, ac wangin watil ac fah kunausla.
Sell your possessions and give to the needy. Make yourselves moneybags that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
34 Tuh yen ma saok lowos oasr we, insiowos ac fah oan pac we.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 “Loseni infulwowos in ku, ac akosak lam lowos an, tuh kowos in akola nu ke kutena ma ac sikyak,
“Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning,

like men who are waiting for their master to return from a wedding feast, so that they can immediately open the door for him when he comes and knocks.
37 Insewowo mwet kulansap inge su ke leum lalos tuku el konalosyak tuh elos na ngetnget ac akola! Nga fahk nu suwos, el ac sarukla coat lal, sap elos in muta ke tepu in mongo, na el ac sang ma nalos.
Blessed are those servants whom their master finds keeping watch when he comes. Truly I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at the table, and he will come and serve them.
38 Ac fuka lupan engan lalos el fin konauk tuh elos na akola, el finne tuku ke infulwen fong ku paht liki!
If he comes in the second watch or the third watch and finds them doing so, blessed are those servants.
39 Kowos arulana etu lah mwet se la lohm se fin etu ke pacl sie mwet pisrapasr ac tuku, el tia ku in lela elan utyak nu in lohm uh.
But know this: If the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
40 Ke ma inge, kowos pac, kowos in akola, tuh Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah sikme ke ao se su kowos tia etu kac.”
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him.”
41 Peter el fahk, “Leum, ku pupulyuk se inge ma na nu sesr, ku kom fahk nu ke mwet nukewa?”
Then Peter said to him, “Lord, are yoʋ telling this parable only for us, or for everyone else as well?”
42 Ac Leum el topuk, “Su sie mwet kulansap oaru ac lalmwetmet? El pa mwet se ma leum lal ac filiya in kol mwet kulansap wial, ac sang mwe mongo nalos in pacl fal uh.
The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?
43 Fuka lupan insewowo lun mwet kulansap se inge leum lal fin foloko nu lohm sel ac konauk lah el oru ma inge!
Blessed is that servant whom his master finds doing so when he comes.
44 Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, leum sac el ac sang tuh mwet kulansap se inge in liyaung ma lal nukewa.
Truly I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
45 Tusruk, mwet kulansap sac fin sifacna nunku sel mu leum se lal inge ac tia sa in foloko, ac el fin mutawauk in uni mwet kulansap wial — kewana mukul ac mutan — ac el mongo, nimnim ac sruhila,
But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and he begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
46 na leum lal el ac foloko ke sie len ma mwet kulansap sac tia nunku mu el ac tuku, ac el tiana akola. Leum sac ac fah sang kai na upa nu sel, ac eisalang tuh elan keok yurin mwet sululalfongi ac seakos.
the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee, and will cut him in two and assign his portion to be with the unfaithful.
47 “Sie mwet kulansap su etu ma leum lal lungse elan oru, a el tiana akola in oru, ac fah sringsring el upa na.
That servant who knew his master's will, but did not prepare himself or act according to his will, will be beaten with many lashes.
But the one who did not know his master's will, yet did what deserved a beating, will be beaten with few lashes. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from him to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.
49 “Nga tuku in akosak sie e fin faclu, ac nga kena in tari tayak!
“I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!
50 Oasr baptais se nga enenu in baptais kac, ac nga ac arulana toasr nwe ke na orekla!
But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how consumed I am with it until it is completed!
51 Ya kowos nunku mu nga tuku in ase misla nu faclu? Mo, tia misla, a sraclik.
Do you think I have come to grant peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.
52 In pacl se ingela, sou ma oasr mwet limekosr kac ac fah srisrielik, tolu lain luo, ac luo lain tolu.
For from now on five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.
53 Papa ac fah lain wen natulos, ac wen ac fah lain papa tumalos; nina ac fah lain acn natulos ac acn ac fah lain nina kialos; nina ac fah lain mutan kien mukul natulos, ac mutan payuk fah lain nina kien mukul tumalos.”
Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
54 Jesus el fahk pac nu sin mwet uh, “Ke kowos liye sie pukunyeng sikyak roto, pacl sacn na kowos ac fahk mu ac afi — na mu afi.
Jesus also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising from the west, you immediately say, ‘A rainstorm is coming,’ and that is what happens.
55 Ac ke kowos ac pula ke eng eir ac tuhme uh, na kowos fahk mu ac arulana fol — na mu fol na.
And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens.
56 Kowos mwet wosounkas! Kowos ku in liye faclu ac kusrao, ac aketeya pulan pacl uh, na efu kowos ku tia etu kalmen pacl se inge?”
Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, so why can you not interpret this present time?
57 “Efu ku kowos tia sifacna nunku lah mea fal kowos in oru?
“Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?

As yoʋ are going with yoʋr adversary before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag yoʋ to the judge, and the judge hand yoʋ over to the officer, and the officer throw yoʋ into prison.
59 Nga fahk nu sum, kom ac fah muta we nwe ke na kom akfalyela ma nukewa pakpuki kom in moli uh.”
I tell yoʋ, yoʋ will certainly not come out of there until yoʋ have paid the very last cent.”
