< Joshua 24 >

1 Na Joshua el sapkin sruf nukewa lun Israel in tukeni nu Shechem. El pangoneni mwet matu, mwet kol, mwet nununku, ac mwet leum lun Israel, ac elos tukeni ye mutun God.
And Joshua gathered all the tribe of Israel to Selo, and convoked their elders, and their officers, and their judges, and set them before God.
2 Joshua el fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Pa inge kas ma LEUM GOD lun Israel El fahk, ‘In pacl meet ah, papa matu tomowos muta kutulap in Infacl Euphrates ac alu nu sin god saya. Sie selos pa Terah, papa tumal Abraham ac Nahor.
And Joshua said to all the people, Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers at first sojourned beyond the river, [even] Thara, the father of Abraam and the father of Nachor; and they served other gods.
3 Na nga tuh usalu Abraham, papa matu tomowos, liki acn we, ac kolol sasla in acn Canaan nufon. Ac nga sang fwilin tulik puspis natul. Nga eisalang Isaac nu sel,
And I took your father Abraam from the other side of the river, and I guided him through all the land, and I multiplied his seed;
4 ac nu sel Isaac nga eisalang Jacob ac Esau. Nga sang acn fineol uh in acn Edom nu sel Esau tuh in ma lal. A funu Jacob, papa matu tomowos, el ac tulik natul tuh som nu Egypt.
and I gave to him Isaac, and to Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave to Esau mount Seir for him to inherit: and Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt, and became there a great and populous and mighty nation: and the Egyptians afflicted them.
5 Tok nga supwalla Moses ac Aaron, ac nga aklokoalokye mwet Egypt, tusruktu nga uskowosme liki acn we.
And I struck Egypt with the wonders that I wrought among them.
6 Ke nga use mwet matu lowos liki acn Egypt, mwet Egypt elos ukwalos ke chariot ac ke mwet kasrusr fin horse. Ke mwet matu lowos elos sun Meoa Srusra,
And afterwards [God] brought out our fathers from Egypt, and you entered into the Red Sea; and the Egyptians pursued after our fathers with chariots and horses into the Red Sea.
7 elos wowoyak nu sik ac siyuk kasru, na nga orala sie ohk inmasrlolos ac mwet Egypt. Ac nga oru tuh kof uh in sifil folokeni nu faclos mwet Egypt, ac akwalomyalosla. Kowos etu ma nga tuh oru in acn Egypt. “‘Na kowos tuh muta in acn mwesis ke pacl na loeloes se.
And we cried aloud to the Lord; and he put a cloud and darkness between us and the Egyptians, and he brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in the land of Egypt; and you were in the wilderness many days.
8 Nga uskowosme nu in acn lun mwet Amor su muta kutulap in Infacl Jordan. Elos tuh mweun lain kowos, tuh nga usot kutangla nu suwos. Kowos eisla acn selos, ac nga kunauselosla ye motowos.
And he brought us into the land of the Amorites that lived beyond Jordan, and the Lord delivered them into our hands; and you inherited their land, and utterly destroyed them from before you.
9 Na Balak wen natul Zippor, tokosra lun acn Moab, el tuyak lain kowos, ac el sapla nu sel Balaam, wen natul Beor, elan tuh selngawi kowos.
And Balac, king of Moab, son of Sepphor, rose up, and made war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam to curse us.
10 Tuh nga tia lohngol Balaam, ouinge el akinsewowoye kowos. Pa inge luman molela luk nu suwos liki inpaol Balak.
But the Lord your God would not destroy you; and he greatly blessed us, and rescued us out of their hands, and delivered them [to us].
11 Na kowos fahsr sasla Infacl Jordan ac tuku nu Jericho. Mwet kol in acn Jericho elos tuh mweun lain kowos oana ke mwet Amor, mwet Periz, mwet Canaan, mwet Hit, mwet Girgash, mwet Hiv, ac mwet Jebus tuh lain kowos, tuh nga sifil pacna oru tuh kowos in kutangulosla nufon.
And you crossed over Jordan, and came to Jericho; and the inhabitants of Jericho fought against us, the Amorite, and the Chananite, and the Pherezite, and the Evite, and the Jebusite, and the Chettite, and the Gergesite, and the Lord delivered them into our hands.
12 Ke kowos utyak nu in acn we, nga akfohsyalosyak in tuh ukwauk tokosra luo lun mwet Amor. Kutangla lowos tia ma ke cutlass ac mwe pisr nutuwos.
And he sent forth the hornet before you; and he drove them out from before you, [even] twelve kings of the Amorites, not with your sword, nor with your bow.
13 Ouinge nga sot nu suwos sie acn su kowos tia taknelik fac, ac siti ma kowos tia musaela. Inge kowos muta we ac mongo ke fokin grape ac olive, su ma kowos tia yukwiya.’”
And he gave you a land on which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you were settled in them; and you eat [of] vineyards and olive yards which you did not plant.
14 Na Joshua el sifil fahk nu selos, “Kowos in akfulatye LEUM GOD, ac kulansap nu sel ke oaru ac inse pwaye. Sisla kutena god su ma mwet matu lowos elos tuh alu nu se in acn Mesopotamia ac Egypt, ac kulansupu LEUM GOD mukena.
And now fear the Lord, and serve him in righteousness and justice; and remove the strange gods, which our fathers served beyond the river, and in Egypt; and serve the Lord.
15 Kowos fin tia lungse kulansupu LEUM GOD, kowos sulela misenge lah su kowos ac kulansupu, lah ac god su mwet matu lowos elos tuh alu nu se in acn Mesopotamia, ku god lun mwet Amor su kowos muta in acn selos misenge. Funu nga ac mwet in lohm sik, kut ac fah kulansupu LEUM GOD.”
But if it seem not good to you to serve the Lord, choose to yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods of your fathers that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, among whom you dwell upon their land: but I and my house will serve the Lord, for he is holy.
16 Na mwet ah topuk ac fahk, “Kut ac fah tiana ku in sisla LEUM GOD ac kulansupu kutena god saya!
And the people answered and said, Far be it from us to forsake the Lord, so as to serve other gods.
17 LEUM GOD lasr pa uskutme, oayapa mwet matu lasr, liki acn Egypt, acn su kut tuh moul in kohs we. Kut liye pac mwenmen puspis El orala. El karingin kut ke fufahsryesr lasr inmasrlon facl puspis.
The Lord our God, he is God; he brought up us and our fathers from Egypt, and kept us in all the way wherein we walked, and among all the nations through whom we passed.
18 Ke kut utyak nu in acn ingan, LEUM GOD El lusla mwet Amor su muta we. Ke ma inge, kut ac fah wi pac kulansupu LEUM GOD, tuh El God lasr.”
And the Lord cast out the Amorite, and all the nations that inhabited the land from before us: yes, we will serve the Lord, for he is our God.
19 Ac Joshua el fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Sahp kowos ac tia ku in kulansupu LEUM GOD. El sie God mutal, ac El sie God loloik. El ac tia nunak munas ke seakos lowos ac ma koluk lowos.
And Joshua said to the people, Indeed you will not be able to serve the Lord, for God is holy; and he being jealous will not forgive your sins and your transgressions.
20 Kowos fin forla lukel ac kulansap nu sin god saya, El ac fah forla liki kowos ac akkeokye kowos ac kunauskowosla, finne El tuh arulana wo nu suwos meet.”
Whenever you shall forsake the Lord and serve other gods, then he shall come upon you and afflict you, and consume you, because he has done you good.
21 Na mwet uh fahk nu sel Joshua, “Mo! Kut ac kulansap na nu sin LEUM GOD.”
And the people said to Joshua, Nay, but we will serve the Lord.
22 Na Joshua el fahk, “Kowos mwet loh lowos sifacna ke kowos fahk mu kowos sulela tuh kowos in kulansupu LEUM GOD.” Ac elos fahk, “Aok, kut ac mwet loh lasr sifacna.”
And Joshua said to the people, You [are] witnesses against yourselves, that you have chosen the Lord to serve him.
23 Na Joshua el fahk nu selos, “Fin pwaye, kowos sisla liki kowos god saya nukewa ma oan yuruwos an, ac sang insiowos in pwayena nu sin LEUM GOD lun Israel.”
And now take away the strange gods that are among you, and set your heart right toward the Lord God of Israel.
24 Na mwet ah fahk nu sel Joshua, “Kut ac fah kulansap nu sin LEUM GOD lasr, ac akos ma sap lal.”
And the people said to Joshua, We will serve the Lord, and we will listen to his voice.
25 Ke len sac Joshua el orala sie wulela nu sin mwet uh in acn Shechem, ac el sang nu selos ma sap ac ma oakwuk elos in fahsr kac.
So Joshua made a covenant with the people on that day, and gave them a law and an ordinance in Selo before the tabernacle of the God of Israel.
26 Ac Joshua el simusla ma inge in book in Ma Sap Lun God. Na el eis sie eot lulap ac tulokunak ye sak oak soko sisken Lohm Nuknuk sin LEUM GOD.
And he wrote these words in the book of the laws of God: and Joshua took a great stone, and set it up under the oak before the Lord.
27 Ac Joshua el fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Liye, eot se inge ac fah mwe loh lasr. El lohng kas nukewa ma LEUM GOD El fahk nu sesr. El ac fah mwe loh lain kowos tuh kowos in tia lain God lowos.”
And Joshua said to the people, Behold, this stone shall be among you for a witness, for it has heard all the words that have been spoken to it by the Lord; for he has spoken to you this day; and this [stone] shall be among you for a witness in the last days, whenever you shall deal falsely with the Lord my God.
28 Na Joshua el supwalik mwet uh, ac elos nukewa folokla, kais sie nu in acn sel sifacna.
And Joshua dismissed the people, and they went every man to his place.
29 Tukun ma inge, mwet kulansap lun LEUM GOD, Joshua wen natul Nun, el misa ke el yac siofok singoul matwal.
And it came to pass after these things that Joshua the son of Naue the servant of the Lord died, [at the age] of a hundred and ten years.
30 Na elos piknilya in acn sel in Timnath Serah su oan fineol uh in acn Ephraim, su oasr epang in Fineol Gaash.
And they buried him by the borders of his inheritance in Thamnasarach in the mount of Ephraim, northward of the mount of Galaad.
31 Mwet Israel elos kulansupu LEUM GOD ke lusen moul lal Joshua nufon, ac tukun el misa ah, elos tafwelana ke lusen moul lun mwet kol lalos su liye ma nukewa ma LEUM GOD El oru nu sin Israel.
And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that lived as long as Joshua, and all that knew all the works of the Lord which he wrought for Israel.
32 Ac srel Joseph, su mwet ah use liki acn Egypt, elos pikinya Shechem ke ipin acn se ma Jacob el tuh molela ke ipin silver siofok sin tulik natul Hamor, su papa tumal Shechem. Tok ipin acn se inge tuh itukyang tuh in mwe usru lun tulik natul Joseph.
And the children of Israel brought up the bones of Joseph out of Egypt, and buried [them] in Sicima, in the portion of the land which Jacob bought of the Amorites who lived in Sicima for a hundred ewe-lambs; and he gave it to Joseph for a portion.
33 Ac Eleazar, wen natul Aaron, el misa ac pukpuki in acn Gibeah ke ipin acn se fineol in acn Ephraim, ma tuh itukyang lal Phinehas, wen natul.
And it came to pass afterwards that Eleazar the high-priest the son of Aaron died, and was buried in Gabaar of Phinees his son, which he gave him in mount Ephraim.
