Jonah 2
1 Na ke Jonah el muta insien ik soko ah, el pre nu sin LEUM GOD lal ac fahk:
Then Jonah prayed unto YHWH his Elohim out of the fish's belly,
2 “O LEUM GOD, ke nga muta in ongoiya nga pang nu sum, Ac kom topukyu. Nga pang nu sum infulan facl sin mwet misa me in suk kasru, Ac kom lohngyu. (Sheol h7585)
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto YHWH, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 Kom sisyula nu yen loallana in meoa uh, Acn ma kof uh apinyula Ac noa lulap toki fuk.
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Nga nunku mu kom sisyula liki ye motom Ac nga fah tia ku in sifilpa liye Tempul mutal lom.
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
5 Kof uh tilmakinyuwi ac tulokinya monguk. Meoa uh apinyula, Ac kormwek uh punla insifuk.
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 Nga tilla nwe ke nga sun kapin eol ye kof uh, Nu in acn su mutunpot kac kaul ma pahtpat. Ne ouinge, O LEUM GOD luk, Kom folokinyume liki acn loal sac, ac nga moulla.
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O YHWH my Elohim.
7 Ke nga pula lah moul luk apkuran in safla, Nga pang nu sum, O LEUM GOD, Ac kom lohngyu in Tempul mutal lom.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered YHWH: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 Elos su alu nu ke ma srulaola lusrongten, Elos ngetla liki kom ac tia sifil inse pwaye nu sum.
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 Tusruktu nga fah yuk on in kaksak nu sum. Nga fah orek kisa nu sum Ac oru oana ma nga wulela kac. Molela tuku sin LEUM GOD me!”
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of YHWH.
10 Na LEUM GOD El sap ik soko ah in wihtaclla Jonah nu weacn uh, ac el wihtaclla.
And YHWH spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
