Jeremiah 5
1 Mwet Jerusalem, yuwot yume ke inkanek nukewa! Liye akwoya yen nukewa! Suk pac ke acn in kuka! Suk lah kom ac ku in konauk sie mwet Su oru ma suwohs ac inse pwaye nu sin God. Kowos fin ku in konauk sie, na LEUM GOD El fah nunak munas nu sin mwet Jerusalem nukewa.
Run all of you back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if all of you can find a man, if there be any that executes judgment, that seeks the truth; and I will pardon it.
2 Kowos finne orala fulahk lowos ke Inen LEUM GOD moul, A ma kowos fahk uh kikiap.
And though they say, The LORD lives; surely they swear falsely.

O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? you have stricken them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
4 Na nga nunku, “Mwet inge mwet sukasrup ac mwet nikin. Ma elos oru uh lalfon; Elos tia etu lah mea God El enenu selos, Ac mea LEUM GOD El lungse elos in oru.
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
6 Pa sis lion insak uh fah onelosi; Wolf yen mwesis me fah seseya manolos, Ac leopard uh ac forfor in siti selos ac suk ma nac. Mwet ingo fin tufoki liki lohm selos, ac fah seyuki manolos Mweyen ma koluk lalos uh arulana pus, Ac pusla pacl elos forla liki God.
Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goes out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

How shall I pardon you for this? your children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.
8 Kowos wella in suk in oru lungse koluk lowos nu sin mutan kien mwet tulan lowos, Oana horse mukul ma kitakat wo ke elos sukna horse mutan uh.
They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.
9 Ya tia fal nga in kalyaelos ke ma elos oru inge, Ac oru foloksak luk nu sin mutunfacl se su ouinge?
Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10 Nga fah supwala mwet lokoalok in fahsr inmasrlon takin grape sunun mwet luk Ac pakpakiya, tusruktu in tia kunausla nufon. Nga fah fahk elos in kotala lah ke grape uh, Mweyen lah ingan tia ma luk.
Go all of you up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.
11 Mwet Israel ac mwet Judah Arulana pilesreyu. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.”
For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.
12 Mwet lun LEUM GOD elos lafwekunul ac elos fahk, “Wangin ma El ac oru. Wangin ma upa ac sikyak nu sesr. Ac fah wangin mweun, ku pacl in sracl.
They have lied concerning the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
13 Kas lun mwet palu inge wangin kalmac, oana eng tuhtuh. Tia God pa kaskas nu selos. Ongoiya ma elos palye ingan ac ma na nu selos sifacna!”
And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.
14 LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk nu sik, “Jeremiah, mweyen mwet inge fahk kain kas inge, nga fah oru kas luk in oana sie e in oalum. Mwet uh ac fah oana etong, ac e uh ac fah esukulosyak.”
Wherefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, Because all of you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
15 Mwet Israel, LEUM GOD El ac use sie mutunfacl yen loesla me in lain kowos. Sie mutunfacl oemeet me su arulana ku, sie mutunfacl su kowos tia etu kas la.
Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, says the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you know not, neither understand what they say.

Their quiver is as an open tomb, they are all mighty men.
17 Elos fah kangla fokin ima lowos, oayapa mwe mongo nowos. Elos fah uniya wen ac acn nutuwos. Elos ac lusluseya un sheep ac un cow nutuwos, ac sukela ima in grape ac sak fig sunowos. Mwet mweun lalos ac fah kunausla siti potyak ku lowos, su yohk lulalfongi lowos kac.
And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fenced cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.
18 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Ne ouinge, in len ingo nga fah tia sukela nufon mwet luk uh.
Nevertheless in those days, says the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.
19 Ke elos ac siyuk sripen nga oru ma inge nukewa, na Jeremiah, fahk nu selos lah ke sripen elos forla likiyu ac orekma nu sin god saya uh in facl selos sifacna, ouinge elos fah kulansupu mwet saya in sie facl ma tia ma selos.”
And it shall come to pass, when all of you shall say, Wherefore does the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shall you answer them, Like all of you have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall all of you serve strangers in a land that is not your's.
20 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Fahkang nu sin fwilin tulik natul Jacob, ac fahkeng nu sin mwet Judah:
Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
21 Porongeyu, kowos mwet lalfon ac mwet sulalkung, su oasr muta tuh tiana liye; su oasr srac tuh tiana lohng.
Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
22 Nga LEUM GOD. Efu kowos ku tia sangeng sik? Efu kowos ku tia rarrar ye mutuk? Nga oakiya puk uh mu pa inge masrol lun meoa uh, sie masrol oakwuk nwe tok ma meoa uh tia ku in alukela. Noa uh finne ngirngir ac toki weacn uh, a tia ku in som alukela.
Fear all of you not me? says the LORD: will all of you not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
27 Oana ke sie mwet sruh won el nwakla kalkal lal uh ke won, ouinge elos nwakla lohm selos ke ma elos eisla lun mwet uh. Pa oru elos kulana ac kasrup;
As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and becoming rich.
28 pa oru elos fact ac kihp. Wangin saflaiyen orekma koluk lalos. Elos tia sang suwohs nu sin tulik mukaimtal ku oru nununku suwohs nu sin mwet enenu.
They are becoming fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
29 Tusruktu nga, LEUM GOD, fah kaelos ke ma elos oru inge. Nga fah orek foloksak nu sin mutunfacl se inge.
Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
30 Sie ma koluklana ac mwe lut sikyak tari fin facl se inge:
A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
31 mwet palu tia fahk ma pwaye a kikiap mukena; ac mwet tol uh kol mwet uh oana ma mwet palu sapkin, ac mwet luk uh tiana lain. Na mea elos ac oru pacl se ke ma nukewa sun saflaiya uh?”
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will all of you do in the end thereof?
