Jeremiah 45

1 In yac se akakosr ma Jehoiakim, wen natul Josiah, el tuh tokosra lun Judah, Baruch el simusla kas nukewa nga fahkang nu sel. Na nga fahk nu sel,

The word which Jeremiah the prophet spake, unto Baruch son of Neriah, —when he had written these words upon a book, from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah saying—

2 “Pa inge kas lun LEUM GOD lun Israel nu sum: ‘Baruch,

Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, Unto thee, O Baruch, —

3 kom fahk mu “Nga fuhleak finsrak! LEUM GOD El ase mwe asor in laesla mwe lokoalok luk. Nga totola ke sao luk, ac nga tia ku in konauk mongla!’”

Thou didst say, Surely woe to me! For Yahweh hath added sorrow unto my pain, —I am weary with my moaning, And rest, have I not found!

4 “Tusruktu nga, LEUM GOD, nga ikruiya ma nga musaela, ac nga fusak ma nga yukwiya. Nga ac oru ouinge nu ke faclu nufon.

Thus, shalt thou say unto him Thus, saith Yahweh, —Lo! what I had built, I am pulling down, And what I had planted, I am rooting up, —And that is, all the land:

5 Ya kom suk in orek nu sum wo liki mwet ngia? Nimet nunku ouingan. Nga ac sang mwe ongoiya nu fin mwet nukewa, tusruktu kom sifacna ac fah moulla in kutena acn kom ac som nu we. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.”

Wouldst, thou, then seek to secure for thyself great things? Do not seek! For behold me! bringing in calamity upon all flesh, Declareth Yahweh, Nevertheless I will give thee thine own life as a spoil, in all places whithersoever thou goest.
