< Jeremiah 33 >

1 Ke nga srakna muta in presin in kalkal lun mwet san ke inkul sin tokosra, kas lun LEUM GOD sifilpa tuku nu sik.
A second message came from the Lord to Jeremiah while he was still being held in the guard's courtyard of the guard.
2 LEUM GOD su orala faclu, su lumahla ac oakiya yen se, su Inel pa LEUM GOD, El fahk,
This is what the Lord says, the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who shaped it and set it in place, the Lord is his name:
3 “Pang nu sik, ac nga fah topuk kom. Nga fah fahkak nu sum ma wolana ac mwe lut yohk ma kom tia etu kac.
Call out to me, and I will answer you, explaining to you amazing, hidden things about which you don't have any idea.
4 Nga, LEUM GOD lun Israel, fahk mu lohm Jerusalem ac inkul fulat sin tokosra lun Judah ac fah kunausyukla ke sripen kuhlusyuki ac mweuniyuk siti uh.
For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about Jerusalem's houses and the palaces of the kings of Judah that were demolished for materials to be used to defend against the siege ramps and the enemy attacks.
5 Kutu mwet uh fah mweun lain mwet Babylonia, ac lohm we fah nwanala ke monin mwet misa su nga fah uniya in kasrkusrak lulap luk. Nga forla tari liki siti se inge ke sripen ma koluk ma mwet we orala.
They come to fight the Babylonians but will only fill those houses with the dead bodies of those I'm going to kill in my furious anger. I have given up on this city because of all its wickedness.
6 Tusruktu nga fah sifilpa akkeyala siti se inge ac mwet we, ac folokonang ku in mano lalos. Nga fah akkalemye nu selos misla lulap ac inse okak.
But even so, in the future I will restore and repair it, and I will heal its people and give them lasting peace and safety.
7 Nga fah oru Judah ac Israel in kapkapak, ac nga fah sifil musaelosyak oana meet ah.
I will bring Judah and Israel back from exile and will make them as strong as before.
8 Nga ac fah aknasnasyalos liki ma koluk ma elos tuh oru lainyu, ac nga fah nunak munas nu selos ke ma koluk ac likkeke lalos.
I will wash away all their sins that they committed against me, and I will forgive all their guilt from when they sinned in rebelling against me.
9 Jerusalem ac fah sie mwe engan, mwe kaksak, ac mwe konkin luk; ac mutanfahl nukewa faclu fah sangeng ac rarrar pacl elos lohng ke ma wo ma nga oru nu sin mwet Jerusalem, ac ke kapkapak ma nga oru nu ke siti sac.”
Then this city will bring me a glorious reputation, celebrated and praised by all the nations of the earth who get to hear of all the good things I do for it. They will tremble, amazed at how much good I have done for it, how I have made it so prosperous.
10 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Mwet uh fahk mu acn se inge oana yen mwesis se, ma wangin mwet, ku ma orakrak, muta we. Pwaye selos. Siti srisrik Judah ac inkanek Jerusalem pisala — wangin mwet, ku ma orakrak we. Tusruktu, ac fah sifil lohngyuk in acn inge
This is what the Lord says: You call this place “a wasteland where there's no people or animals.” Well, here in the towns of Judah and in the empty streets of Jerusalem where no people or animals live, one day
11 pusren sasa ac engan, oayapa pusren pwar ke kufwen marut. Ac fah lohngyuk pac pusren on ke mwet uh elos us mwe kisa in sang kulo nu in Tempul sik. Elos fah fahk, ‘Sang kulo nu sin LEUM GOD Kulana, Tuh El wo, Ac lungkulang lal oan ma pahtpat.’ Nga fah oru tuh facl se inge in kapkapak oana meet ah. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.”
the sounds of joy and celebration will be heard there again, the happy voices of bride and bridegroom, and the shouts of praise of those bringing thank offerings to the Lord's Temple, saying: “Thank the Lord Almighty! For the Lord is good; his trustworthy love lasts endures forever.” For I will bring the land back from its “captivity” too, says the Lord.
12 LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk, “In facl se inge, su oana acn mwesis se ac wangin mwet ku ma orakrak muta we, ac fah sifilpa oasr nien mongo lun kosro, yen mwet shepherd ac ku in pwanla sheep natulos nu we.
This is what the Lord Almighty says: In this wasteland where there's no people or animals, and in all its towns, once again there'll be pastures where shepherds can take their flocks.
13 In siti srisrik infulan eol uh, ac pe eol uh, ac layen eir Juah, in facl lun Benjamin, in siti srisrik ma raunela Jerusalem, ac inkul srisrik lun Judah, mwet shepherd ac fah sifilpa oakla pisen sheep natulos. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.”
In all the towns, whether in the hill country, or the foothills, or the Negev, or the land of Benjamin or the towns around Jerusalem, or throughout the cities of Judah, flocks will once again be counted by their shepherds, says the Lord.
14 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Pacl se ac fah tuku ke nga fah akfalye wulela ma nga tuh oru nu sin mwet Israel ac mwet Judah.
Look! The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will keep my promise to do good to the people of Israel and Judah.
15 In pacl sacn nga fah sulela sie mwet suwoswos sin fwilin tulik natul David tuh elan tokosra. Na tokosra sac ac fah oru ma pwaye ac suwohs in facl se inge nufon.
At that time, right there and then, I will give you a good king from the line of David. He will do what is just and right throughout the country.
16 Mwet Judah ac mwet Jerusalem ac fah moliyukla, ac elos fah muta in misla. Siti sac fah pangpang “LEUM GOD Suwoswos Lasr.’
This is when Judah will be saved, and the people of Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name he will be called: The Lord Who Makes Us Right.
17 Nga, LEUM GOD, wulela mu ac fah oasr fwilin tulik natul David in tokosra lun Israel pacl nukewa,
This is what the Lord says: David will always have a descendant who will be king of Israel,
18 oayapa ac fah oasr mwet tol ke sruf Levi in kulansupweyu, ac in oru mwe kisa firir, mwe kisa wheat, ac mwe kisa pac saya pacl nukewa.”
and the Levitical priests will always have a descendant to present burnt offerings, grain offerings, and sacrifices to me.
19 LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik,
A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
20 “Nga orala tari wuleang se luk nu ke len ac nu ke fong, tuh pacl nukewa len ac fong in tuku ke pacl fal la; ac wuleang se inge ac fah tiana ku in kunausyukla.
This is what the Lord says: If you were able to break my agreement with the day and with the night, so that they wouldn't come at the right time,
21 In ouiya sac pacna, nga orala wuleang se yorol David, mwet kulansap luk, mu ac fah oasr sie sin fwilin tulik natul in tokosra pacl nukewa, ac nga wuleang pac nu sin mwet tol sin sruf Levi mu elos ac kulansupweyu pacl nukewa; ac wuleang ingan kewa ac fah tiana ku in kunausyukla.
only then would my agreement be broken with David my servant and with the Levites who serve as my priests, so that David would not have a descendant to rule on his throne.
22 Nga fah akpusyelik fwilin tulik natul David, mwet kulansap luk, ac pisen mwet tol in sruf lal Levi, tuh in fah tiana ku in oaoala elos, oana itu inkusrao, ku puk weacn uh.”
In the same way that the stars of heaven can't be counted, and the sand on the seashore can't be measured, that's how many times I will multiply the number of my servant David's descendants and the Levites who serve me.
23 LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik,
Another message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
24 “Ya kom akilen lah mwet uh fahk mu nga ngetla liki Israel ac Judah, sou luo ma nga sulela uh, pwanang elos sufanulos, ac tia sifil oek mu mutunfacl se pa elos?
Have you heard what people are saying: “The Lord chose two families, but now he's rejected them”? So they look down on my people and don't consider them worthy of being called a nation.
25 Tusruktu nga, LEUM GOD, oasr wuleang luk nu ke len ac nu ke fong, ac nga pa orala oakwuk ma karingin faclu ac yen engyeng uh.
This is what the Lord says: Just as I can't break my agreement with the day and the night and the laws that regulate heaven and earth,
26 Ac in oana ke nga pa orala ma inge, nga fah sruokyana wuleang luk yurin tulik natul Jacob ac yorol David, mwet kulansap luk. Nga fah sulela sie sin fwilin tulik natul David in leum fin fwilin tulik natul Abraham, Isaac, ac Jacob. Nga fah pakoten nu sin mwet luk, ac oru elos in sifilpa kapkapak.”
so I can't reject the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David, and I can't fail to make his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will bring them back from exile and I will be kind to them.
