Jeremiah 25

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
2 Nga fahk nu sin mwet Judah ac mwet Jerusalem nukewa,
which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
3 “Ke lusen yac longoul tolu, mutawauk ke yac aktolngoul ma Josiah, wen natul Amon, el tuh tokosra lun Judah, nwe misenge, LEUM GOD El kaskas nu sik, ac nga tia tui in fahk ma El fahk uh nu suwos, a kowos tiana porongo.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the LORD’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
4 LEUM GOD El finne kalwenina in supu mwet kulansap lal mwet palu, a kowos tiana lohngolos, ku lohang nu selos.
The LORD has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear),
5 Elos fahk nu suwos in forla liki inkanek koluk kowos moulkin, ac liki orekma koluk kowos oru tuh kowos fah ku in mutana fin facl se su LEUM GOD El sot nu suwos ac mwet matu lowos tuh in ma lowos nwe tok.
saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.
6 Elos fahkot kowos in tia alu ac kulansupu god ngia, ac in tia akkasrkusrakye LEUM GOD ke kowos alyalu nu sin ma sruloala ma kowos orala. Kowos funu akos LEUM GOD in pacl sac me, El lukun tia akkeokye kowos.
Don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”
7 Na LEUM GOD El sifacna fahk lah kowos tia lungse lohngol, ac kowos akkasrkusrakyal ke ma sruloala lowos. Ke ma inge kowos sifacna use kalya lal nu fowos.
“Yet you have not listened to me,” says the LORD, “that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”
8 “Ouinge LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk, ‘Ke sripen kowos tia porongeyu,
Therefore the LORD of Armies says: “Because you have not heard my words,

Nga fah usalosme in mweun lain mwet in acn Judah wi mutunfacl atulani lalos, ac fuhlelosla in oan musalla nwe tok — sie mwe lut ac aksangeng in liyeyuk. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.
behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says the LORD, “and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 Tukun pacl se inge nga fah kai acn Babylonia ac tokosra lal ke sripen orekma koluk lalos. Nga fah kunausla mutunfacl sac, ac filiya in oan musalla nwe tok.
“It will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,” says the LORD, “for their iniquity. I will make the land of the Chaldeans desolate forever.
13 Nga fah kai Babylonia ke mwe ongoiya nukewa ma nga tuh fahk nu sel Jeremiah mu nga ac oru nu sin mutunfacl inge kewa — aok, mwe ongoiya nukewa ma simla in book se inge.
I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
14 Nga ac folokin nu sin mwet Babylonia fal nu ke ma elos oru, na elos ac fah mwet kohs nu sin tokosra na fulat in mutunfacl puspis.’”
For many nations and great kings will make bondservants of them, even of them. I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.”
15 LEUM GOD lun Israel El fahk nu sik, “Cup in wain se pa inge, sessesla ke kasrkusrak luk. Usla nu sin mutunfacl nukewa su nga ac supwekom nu we, ac oru elos in nim kac.
For the LORD, the God of Israel, says to me: “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.

They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send amongst them.”

Then I took the cup at the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom the LORD had sent me:
18 Jerusalem ac siti nukewa lun Judah, weang tokosra ac mwet kol we, elos nim kac, na in pacl sac me nwe misenge acn inge ekla acn mwesisla — sie mwe lut ac mwe aksangeng, ac mwet uh orekmakin inelos in mwe selnga.
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;
19 Mwet inge wi pac nim ke cup sac: tokosra lun Egypt, mwet pwapa fulat ac mwet kol lal; mwet Egypt nukewa ac mwetsac in acn Egypt;
Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;
20 tokosra nukewa in facl Uz; tokosra nukewa ke siti in acn Philistia inge: Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, ac mwet lula in acn Ashdod;
and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
21 mwet nukewa in acn Edom, ac Moab, ac Ammon;
Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;
22 tokosra nukewa lun Tyre ac Sidon; tokosra nukewa lun acn wekof lun Mediterranean;
and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
23 siti Dedan, Tema, Buz, elos nukewa su koala aunsuf ke likintupalos;
Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;

and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;
25 tokosra nukewa lun Zimri, Elam, ac Media;
and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
26 tokosra nukewa in acn epang, elos su muta loessula ac su apkuran, sie tukun sie. Tokosra nukewa fin faclu elos ac nim kac, na saflaiya tokosra Babylonia el fah nim.
and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.
27 Toko LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Fahk nu sin mwet uh lah nga, LEUM GOD Kulana, God lun Israel, nga sapkin nu selos in nim nwe ke elos sruhila woht, nwe ke elos ikori ac tia ku in tuyak, ke sripen mweun ma nga supu lainulos.
“You shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send amongst you.”’
28 Ac elos fin srangesr eis cup sac liki poum ac nim kac, na fahk nu selos lah LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk mu elos enenu na in nim.
It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “You shall surely drink.
29 Siti se emeet nga fah kunausla pa siti sik sifacna. Ya elos nunku mu ac tia kalyeiyuk elos? Mo, ac kalyeiyuk elos, mweyen nga ac supu mweun nu fin mwet nukewa fin faclu. Nga, LEUM GOD Kulana, pa fahk ma inge.
For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says the LORD of Armies.”’
30 “Jeremiah, kom enenu in sulkakin kas nukewa nga fahk uh. Kom enenu in fahk nu sin mwet inge mu, ‘LEUM GOD El ngirngir inkusrao me, Ac pulahl fah kasla liki acn fulatlana inkusrao. El fah ngirngir lain mwet lal. El fah sasa oana mwet ma lolongya grape uh. Mwet nukewa fin faclu fah lohngol,
“Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and tell them, “‘The LORD will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

A noise will come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgement with all flesh. As for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,”’ says the LORD.”
32 LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk mu kunausten lulap summa nu fin sie mutunfacl tukun sie, ac sie paka lulap kilkilukeni oe yen loessula saflaiyen faclu me.
The LORD of Armies says, “Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”
33 Ke len sac, monin mwet su LEUM GOD El uniya fah oaclik yen nukewa faclu. Wangin mwet fah tung kaclos, ac elos fah tia orekeni in pukpuki. Elos fah oanna fin acn uh oana fohkon kosro.
The slain of the LORD will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They won’t be lamented. They won’t be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground.
34 Tung, kowos mwet kol, kowos mwet sropo lun mwet luk. Kowos in wowoyak tung, ac ipippip infohk uh. Pa inge pacl in anwuki kowos, ac kowos ac fah laslaseyuki oana sheep mukul.
Wail, you shepherds, and cry. Wallow in dust, you leader of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions have fully come, and you will fall like fine pottery.
35 Ac fah wangin kutena inkanek in kaingla lowos.
The shepherds will have no way to flee. The leader of the flock will have no escape.
36 Lohng pusren tung lun mwet shepherd, ac wowoyak lun mwet kol lun un kosro uh! Tuh LEUM GOD El furokla acn in tohf kosro natulos.
A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leader of the flock, for the LORD destroys their pasture.
37 Acn in mongla misla lalos wanginla, ke sripen fulen kasrkusrak lun LEUM GOD.
The peaceful folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
38 LEUM GOD El som liki mwet lal, oana soko lion ma illa liki luf sel. Mwe aksangeng ke mweun, ac kasrkusrak fol lun LEUM GOD, ekulla facl se inge nu ke sie acn mwesis.
He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
