< Jeremiah 12 >

1 LEUM GOD, nga fin srukak sie sripa nga kom in tukeni akukuin kac, Ma kom ac fahk uh pa pwaye uh. Ne ouinge, nga ke kusen siyuk nu sum ke nununku suwohs. Efu ku mwet koluk uh kasrupi? Efu ku mwet kutasrik uh wo ouiyalos?
Righteous are you, O Lord, that I may make my defence to you, yes, I will speak to you [of] judgments. Why [is it] that the way of ungodly [men] prospers? [that] all that deal very treacherously are flourishing?
2 Kom yokwalosi, ac elos okahla; Elos kapak ac isus fahko. Elos fahk kas wo keim pacl nukewa A insialos loesla nu sum.
You have planted them, and they have taken root; they have begotten children, and become fruitful; you are near to their mouth, and far from their reins.
3 Tusruktu, LEUM GOD, kom eteyu. Kom liye ma nga oru Ac etu lah nga lungse kom. Amakunla mwet koluk inge oana sheep ma ac anwuki; Taranulos nu ke pacl lalos in anwuki.
But you, Lord, know me; you have proved my heart before you; purify them for the day of their slaughter.
4 Facl sesr uh ac paola nwe ngac? Mah nukewa inima uh ac uli putaka? Kosro ac won uh masla Ke sripen orekma koluk lun mwet lasr — Mwet su fahk mu, “God El tia liye ma kut oru uh.”
How long shall the land mourn, and the grass of the field wither, for the wickedness of them, that dwell in it? the beasts and birds are utterly destroyed; because [the people] said, God shall not see our ways.
5 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Jeremiah, kom fin totola ke kom akutun nu sin mwet, Na kom ac akutun fuka nu sin horse uh? Kom fin tukulkul ke sie acn mwesas, Na kom ac tuyak fuka ke insak matol sisken Infacl Jordan?
Your feet run, and they cause you to faint; how will you prepare [to ride] upon horses? and you have been confident in the land of your peace? how will you do in the roaring of Jordan?
6 Finne ma lim, mwet in sou lom sifacna, elos kiapwekomla. Elos welulosyang su lain kom. Nik kom lulalfongelos, elos finne kaskas kulang nu sum.”
For even your brethren and the house of your father, even these have dealt treacherously with you; and they have cried out, they are gathered together in pursuit of you; trust not you in them, though they shall speak fair [words] to you.
7 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Nga ngetla liki Israel. Nga sisla tari mutunfacl se nga sulela in ma luk. Mwet su nga lungse uh nga eisalosyang Nu inpoun mwet lokoalok lalos.
I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given my beloved one into the hands of her enemies.
8 Mwet solla luk elos forma lainyu. Elos ngutngut nu sik Oana soko lion insak uh. Ke ma inge nga srungalos.
My inheritance has become to me as a lion in a forest; she has uttered her voice against me; therefore have I hated her.
9 Mwet solla luk elos oana sie won Ma won ngia tuku liki acn nukewa in lainul. Pangonma kosro lemnak nukewa In tuku kangla nufon!
Is not my inheritance to me a hyaena's cave, or a cave round about her? Go you, gather together all the wild beasts of the field, and let them come to devour her.
10 Mwet kol puspis ke mutunfacl saya elos kunausla ima in grape luk. Elos lolongya ima luk uh. Elos ekulla facl wolana sik nu ke acn mwesis.
Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have defiled my portion, they have made my desirable portion a trackless wilderness;
11 Elos oru acn uh sie acn mwesisla, wangin ma oan fac, Musalla oan ye mutuk. Facl sac nufon ekla nu ke sie acn mwesis, Ac wanginna mwet lohang nu kac.
it is made a complete ruin: for my sake the whole land has been utterly ruined, because there is none that lays [the matter] to heart.
12 Mwet uh tuku liki acn fulat nukewa yen mwesis uh In usla kutena ma lula we. Nga supwala mweun in kunausla facl sac nufon; Wangin mwet ac muta in misla.
The ravagers are come to every passage in the wilderness: for the sword of the Lord will devour from one end of the land to the other: no flesh has any peace.
13 Mwet luk elos taknelik wheat, a kosrani kokul. Elos kemkatu ke wangin. Ke sripen kasrkusrak luk Ma sunalos uh tiana fok.”
Sow wheat, and reap thorns; their portions shall not profit them: be ashamed of your boasting, because of reproach before the Lord.
14 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Oasr ma nga ac fahk ke mwet tulan lun Israel su kunausla facl se nga tuh sang sin mwet luk, mwet Israel. Nga fah eisla mwet kutasrik inge liki facl selos, oana ke soko sak ac fifyak uh. Ac nga fah molela Judah lukelos.
For thus says the Lord, concerning all the evil neighbors that touch mine inheritance, which I have divided to my people Israel; Behold, I [will] draw them away from their land, and I will cast out Juda from the midst of them.
15 Tusruktu tukun nga usalosla, nga fah pakomutalos. Nga fah folokonma kais sie mutunfacl nu fin acn selos sifacna, ac nu facl selos sifacna.
And it shall come to pass, after I have cast them out, [that] I will return, and have mercy upon them, and will cause them to dwell every one in his inheritance, and every one in his land.
16 Elos fin wi mwet luk alu ke insialos pwaye, ac elos fin fulahk ke kas inge: ‘Oana ke LEUM GOD El moul’ — oana ke elos tuh luti mwet luk in fulahk inen Baal in pacl meet ah — na elos fah ku in oaoala yurin mwet luk, ac wi eis mwe insewowo.
And it shall be, if they will indeed learn the way of my people, to swear by my name, [saying], The Lord lives; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall [that nation] be built in the midst of my people.
17 Tusruktu kutena mutunfacl fin tia akos, na nga fah fusulosyak ac kunauselosla. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ma inge.”
But if they will not return, then will I cut off that nation with utter ruin and destruction.
