< Isaiah 48 >

1 Porongo ma se inge, kowos mwet Israel Su ma in fwilin tulik natul Judah: Kowos fulahk ke Inen LEUM GOD Ac fahk mu kowos alu nu sin God lun Israel, Tusruktu wanginna kalmen ma kowos fahk uh.
Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, [but] not in truth, nor in righteousness.
2 Kowos filangkin in fahk mu Kowos mwet in siti mutal sac, Ac lah kowos filiya lulalfongi lowos in God lun Israel, Su Inel pa LEUM GOD Kulana.
For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
3 LEUM GOD El fahk nu sin Israel, “Oemeet nga tuh fahkak ma ac sikyak; Na in kitin pacl ah na, nga orala sikyak.
I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth from my mouth, and I showed them; I did [them] suddenly, and they came to pass.
4 Nga nuna etu lah pwaye kowos ac mau likkeke, Upa oana osra, ac keke oana bronze.
Because I knew that thou [art] obstinate, and thy neck [is] an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
5 Ouinge nga palyeak ma ac sikyak nu suwos ke pacl loeloes somla — Nga fahkak ke ma ac orek meet liki na pacl sikyak uh, In oru kowos in tia fahk mu Ma sruloala ac mwe lemlem lowos pa oru in sikyak.
I have even from the beginning declared [it] to thee; before it came to pass I showed [it] thee: lest thou shouldst say, My idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
6 “Ma nukewa nga tuh fahkak meet, liye pa sikyak tari inge. Kowos enenu in akilen lah ma nga tuh fahk ah pwayena. Inge nga ac fahk nu suwos ke ma sasu su ac fah tuku, Ke kutu ma lukma ma nga tiana fahkak meet.
Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare [it]? I have showed ye new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
7 Nga tufacna oru ma inge in sikyak; Wangin ma ouinge orek in pacl somla. Funu oasr, kowos lukun fahk mu kowos etu tari kac.
They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardst them not; lest thou shouldst say, Behold, I knew them.
8 Nga nuna etu lah tia ku in lulalfongiyuk kowos, Mweyen eteyuk lah kowos mwet utuk nunak. Pa sis kowos tiana wi lohng ke ma inge, Ac wanginna kas kac sun insrewos.
Yes, thou heardst not; yes, thou knewest not; yes, from that time [that] thy ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
9 “In oru tuh mwet uh in kaksakin Inek, Nga kutongya kasrkusrak luk. Nga sruokyana tuh nga in tia kunauskowosla.
For my name's sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 Nga srike kowos ke e lun keok, Oana ke silver uh liklikiyukla in sie funyu, Ac nga konauk lah wangin ma wo keiwos.
Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11 Ma nga oru uh nga oru ke sripuk — Nga fah tia lela Inek in pilesreyuk Ku lela kutena mwet saya in ipeis ke wolana Su fal in ma na luk, ac ma luk mukena.”
For my own sake, [even] for my own sake, will I do [it]: for how should [my name] be profaned? and I will not give my glory to another.
12 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Israel, mwet su nga pangonak, porongeyu! Nga mukefanna pa God! Nga pa emeet ac nga pa etok!
Hearken to me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I [am] he; I [am] the first, I also [am] the last.
13 Pouk pa orala pwelung lun faclu Ac laknelik inkusrao. Ke nga pang nu ke faclu ac kusrao Elos sulaklak na tuku ac tu ye mutuk.
My hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: [when] I call to them, they stand up together.
14 “Kowos nukewa toeni nu sie ac lipsre! Wangin sie inmasrlon god uh ku in palye Lah mwet se nga sulela uh ac fah sroang mweuni Babylon. El ac fah oru ma nga lungse elan oru.
All ye, assemble yourselves and hear; who among them hath declared these [things]? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.
15 Nga pa tuh kaskas ac pangnol ah; Nga kololma ac nga fah oru tuh in wo ouiyal.
I, [even] I, have spoken, yes, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16 “Inge kaluku nu yuruk ac lohng ma nga fahk uh. Ke mutawauk ah me, nga kaskas kalem na, Ac oru tuh kas luk in akpwayeiyuk pacl nukewa.” (Inge LEUM GOD Fulatlana El ase ku lal nu sik ac supweyu.)
Come ye near to me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there [am] I: and now the LORD God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
17 God mutal lun Israel, LEUM GOD su molikowosla, El fahk, “Nga pa LEUM GOD lowos, Su lungse luti kowos ke ma ac wo nu suwos sifacna, Ac in kol kowos nu ke inkanek ma fal kowos in fahsr kac.
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I [am] the LORD thy God, who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way [that] thou shouldst go.
18 “Kowos funu lohang nu ke ma sap luk, Mwe insewowo lukun kahkma Oana soko infacl ma tia wi mihnla. Kutangla lukun tuku nu suwos Oana noa ma tok weacn uh.
O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19 Fwilin tulik nutuwos lukun arulana pusla oana puk uh, Ac nga lukun oru elos in tiana wi kunausyukla.”
Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like its gravel; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20 Tufokla liki acn Babylon, som ac sukosok! Kowos in engan ac sulkakin pweng wo se inge akyokye; oru in eteyuk yen nukewa: “LEUM GOD El molela Israel, mwet kulansap lal!”
Go ye forth from Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it [even] to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
21 Ke LEUM GOD El pwen mwet lal sasla sie acn fol ac pao yen mwesis, Elos tiana keok ke malu. El orala kof in tuku liki sie eot nu selos; El falngelik eot sac, ac kof uh asrma.
And they thirsted not, [when] he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he cleaved the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Wangin misla nu sin mwet koluk.”
[There is] no peace, saith the LORD, to the wicked.
