< Isaiah 42 >

1 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Pa inge mwet kulansap luk su nga akkeye — Sie su nga sulela, ac nga insewowo sel. Nga nwakulla ke ngunik, Ac el fah use nununku suwohs nu fin mutunfacl nukewa.
Lo! my Servant, I will uphold him, My chosen, well-pleased is my soul, —I have put my spirit upon him, Justice—to the nations, will he bring forth:
2 El ac tia wowo ku srukak pusracl, Ku liksreni sramsram inkanek uh.
He will not cry out nor will he speak loud, —Nor cause to be heard, in the street, his voice:
3 El fah tia koteya soko loa ma kurula, Ku konela sie lam ma srik fulac. El fah use nununku suwohs ac kawil nu sin mwet nukewa.
Cane that is crushed, will he not break, And wick that is fading, will he not quench, —Faithfully, will he bring forth justice:
4 El fah tia fuhleak finsrak lal, ac pulaik lal ac tia munasla; El fah oakiya nununku suwohs fin faclu. Facl loessula elos rarala in lohng luti lal.”
He will not fade, nor will he be crushed, Until he establish, in the earth, justice, And for his instruction, Coastlands, wait.
5 God El orala kusrao ac asroelik. El lumahla faclu ac ma nukewa fac. El sang moul ac momong nu sin mwet nukewa. Ac inge LEUM GOD El fahk nu sin mwet kulansap lal,
Thus, saith GOD himself—Yahweh, —Creator of the heavens that stretched them forth, Out-spreader of earth, and the products thereof, —Giver of breath to the people thereon, And of spirit to them who walk therein,
6 “Nga, LEUM GOD, pangon kom ac asot ku nu sum In liyaung tuh nununku suwohs in orek fin faclu. Keim nga fah oru sie wuleang yurin mwet nukewa; Keim nga fah use kalem nu sin mutunfaclu.
I—Yahweh, have called thee in righteousness, And will firmly grasp thy hand, —And will keep thee And give thee—As the covenant of a people, As the light of nations:
7 Kom ac fah sang liyaten nu sin mwet kun, Ac aksukosokyalosla su kapir in acn lohsr.
To open eyes that are blind, —To bring forth Out of the dungeon the captive Out of the prison, the dwellers in darkness.
8 “Nga mukena pa LEUM GOD. Wangin god saya fah ipeis ke wolana luk. Nga fah tia lela ma sruloala in ipeis ke kaksak ma orek nu sik.
I, am Yahweh, that, is my Name, And, my glory, to another, will I not give, Nor my praise to images.
9 Ma nga palye meeta, inge akpwayeiyuk. Ac inge nga ac fahkak nu suwos ke kutu ma sasu Meet liki na ma inge ac sikyak.”
Things told in advance, lo! they have come to pass, —And new things, am I telling, Ere yet they spring forth, I let, you, hear them.
10 Yuk soko on sasu nu sin LEUM GOD; On kaksakunul, faclu nufon! Kaksakunul, kowos su kalkal meoa; Kaksakunul, ma moul nukewa in kof uh! Kowos nukewa su muta yen loessula, kowos in wi pac on.
Sing to Yahweh, a song that is new, His praise, from the end of the earth, —Ye that go down to the sea, and the fulness thereof, The Coastlands and ye who dwell therein.
11 Lela yen mwesis ac siti we in kaksakin God; Lela mwet Kedar in kaksakunul! Lela mwet su muta in siti Sela In sasa ke engan liki mangon eol uh!
Let the wilderness shout, and the cities thereof, The villages wherein dwelleth Kedar, —Let the inhabitants of the crag, raise shouts of triumph, From the top of the mountains, let them cry aloud:
12 Lela elos su muta in acn loessula In sang kaksak ac wolana nu sin LEUM GOD!
Let them render unto Yahweh, glory, —And, his praise, in the Coastlands let them tell.
13 LEUM GOD El illa oana sie mwet mweun watwen; El akola ac kena tari mweun. El foloyak ac sala ke sa in katkat; El fahkak kuiyal in lain mwet lokoalok lal.
Yahweh, as a hero, goeth forth, As a man of war, he stirreth up jealousy, —He giveth a cry, yea he raiseth a war-cry, Over his foes, he showeth his strength.
14 God El fahk, “In pacl na loeloes nga misla ac tiana kas; Nga tiana topuk mwet luk. Tusruktu inge pacl luk in mukuila. Nga wowoyak oana sie mutan su akola in isus.
I have held my peace from age-past times, I kept still, I restrained myself, —As a travailing woman, I pant, I breathe hard and gasp, all at once!
15 Nga fah kunausla eol ac inging uh, Ac oru tuh mah ac sak uh in masla. Nga fah ekulla infacl ke infahlfal uh nu ke acn mwesis, Ac oru lulu in kof uh in paola.
I will lay waste mountains, and hills, And all their vegetation, will I wither, —And I will make rivers to be shores, And lakes, will I dry up:
16 “Nga fah pwen mwet kun luk ke inkanek ma elos soenna fahsr kac meet. Nga fah ekulla lohsr lalos nu ke kalem, Ac oru acn siruprup in fwella ye mutalos. Nga wulela ouinge, Ac nga fah taranna in tia sutuela.
Thus will I lead the blind, by a way they know not, In paths they know not, will I guide them, —I will make the place that was dark before them to be, light. And crooked ways, to be, straight, These things, have I done unto them, And have not forsaken them.
17 Elos nukewa su lulalfongi ke ma sruloala, Su pangon ma orekla ke poun mwet pa god lalos, Ac fah akmwekinyeyuk ac elos fah tonongla.”
They have drawn back They turn very pale Who have been trusting in a graven image, —Who have been saying to a molten image, Ye, are our gods!
18 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Porongo, kowos mwet sulohngkas! Liye akwoya, kowos mwet kun!
Ye deaf hear! And ye blind look around that ye may see,
19 Ya oasr mwet sulongin yohk liki mwet kulansap luk, Ku sulohngkas liki mwet utuk kas su nga supu uh?
Who is blind if not my Servant? Or deaf, like, my messenger whom I send? Who is, blind, like an intimate friend? Or blind like the Servant of Yahweh?
20 Israel, arulana yohk ma kom liye tari, A mea kalmac nu sum? Oasr srem in lohng, Tuh mea na pwaye kom lohng uh?”
Seeing many things, yet thou heedest not, Opening the ears yet he heareth not,
21 LEUM GOD El sie God su kena molela mwet uh. Ouinge El akfulatye ma sap lal ac luti lal, Ac El kena mwet lal in wi pac akfulatye ma inge.
Yahweh, is well-pleased for his own righteousness’ sake, He magnifieth instruction and maketh it majestic.
22 Tusruktu oasr mwet utyak ac kunausla ma nukewa lun mwet lal. Kauli elos in acn lohsr ye fohk uh, Ac wikinyukla elos ke acn in kapir. Ma lalos uh pisrapasrla ac wapiyukla, A wangin mwet in molelosla.
But, that, is a people preyed upon and plundered, Snared in holes, all of them, And, in houses of restraint, concealed, —They have become a prey, and there is none to deliver, —A booty, and there is none to say—Restore!
23 Su inmasrlowos ac porongo ma inge? Ya kowos ac ku in mutawauk ingela in lohng akwoya?
Who among you, will give ear to this, —Let him hearken and hear, for an aftertime?
24 Su fuhleang Israel nu inpoun mwet pisrapasr uh? LEUM GOD sifacna, su kut orekma koluk lainul! Kut tia moul fal nu ke lungse lal Ku akos mwe luti lal nu sesr.
Who gave, as a booty, Jacob. And, Israel, to them who were ready to take prey? Was it not, Yahweh? He against whom we have sinned, And they were not willing, in his ways, to walk, Neither hearkened they to his instruction?
25 Ke ma inge El lela kut in pulakin ku lun kasrkusrak lal, Ac sun mwe keok lun mweun uh. Kasrkusrak lal uh firir oana sie e fin acn Israel nufon, A kut tiana kalem ke ma sikyak inge. Wanginna ma kut etala kac.
So he hath poured out, upon him, the glow of his anger, and the strength of battle; And it hath set him aflame round about, yet he knoweth it not, And it hath kindled upon him yet he layeth it not to heart.
