< Isaiah 30 >

1 LEUM GOD El fahk ouinge: “We nu selos su leumi Judah, mweyen elos utuk nunak lainyu. Elos fahsr tukun pwapa lalos sifacna ac tia ma nga insese nu kac, ac elos akkeye wulela su tia ou ma lungse luk. Elos kalwenina in oru ma koluk.
“Woe to the rebellious children,” this is Yahweh's declaration. “They make plans, but not from me; they make alliances with other nations, but they were not directed by my Spirit, so they add sin to sin.
2 Elos som nu Egypt in sukok kasru ac tia eis kas in kasru sik meet. Elos ke mwet Egypt in loangelos, na pa elos filiya lulalfongi lalos sin tokosra lun Egypt.
They set out to go down into Egypt, but have not asked for my direction. They seek protection from Pharaoh and take refuge in the shadow of Egypt.
3 Tusruktu ac fah wangin ku lal tokosra sac in kasrelos, na saflaiyen karinginyuk lun Egypt pa ongoiya ac mwekinla.
Therefore Pharaoh's protection will be your shame, and the refuge in Egypt's shade, your humiliation,
4 Mwet roso lun Judah finne sun tari siti lun Zoan ac Hanes in acn Egypt,
although their princes are at Zoan, and their messengers have come to Hanes.
5 a mwet Judah fah auli lah elos tuh lulalfongi mutunfacl se su wangin sripa nu selos, sie mutunfacl ma tiana kasrelos ke pacl elos enenu.”
They will all be ashamed because of a people who cannot help them, who are neither help nor aid, but a shame, and even a disgrace.”
6 Kas in fahkak lun God pa inge ke kosro in acn mwesis eir: “Mwet roso elos fufahsryesr sasla in acn sensen, yen lion muta we ac oasr wet pwasin ac dragon sohksok. Elos us mwe lung puspis ma yohk molo fin donkey ac camel, in mwe sang lalos nu sin sie mutunfacl ma tia ku in oru kutena kain kasru nu selos.
A declaration about the beasts of the Negev: Through the land of trouble and danger, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the backs of donkeys, and their treasures on the camels' humps, to a people who cannot help them.
7 Kasru lun Egypt wanginna sripa. Ouinge nga sang ine aksruksruk se lal: ‘Dragon Mwalna.’”
For Egypt's help is worthless; therefore I have called her Rahab, who sits still.
8 God El fahk nu sik in simusla luman moul lun mwet uh in sie book, tuh in oasr ma simusla kawil in akkalemye ke ouiyen moul koluk lalos.
Now go, write it in their presence on a tablet, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be preserved for the time to come as a testimony.
9 Pacl nukewa elos utuk nunak lain God. Elos kikiap pacl nukewa, ac srangesr porongo mwe luti lun God.
For these are a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the instruction of Yahweh.
10 Elos sapkin mwet palu in tia kaskas. Elos fahk, “Nimet fahk nu sesr ma pwaye uh. Fahk nu sesr ma kut lungse lohng, finne sutuu.
They say to the seers, “Do not see;” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy the truth to us; speak flattering words to us, prophesy illusions.
11 Tiok! Nimet lusrong kut. Kut tasak ke lohngyen God mutal lun Israel.”
Turn aside from the way, stray off the path; cause the Holy One of Israel to cease speaking before our face.”
12 Tusruktu pa inge ma God mutal lun Israel El fahk: “Kowos pilesru ma nga fahk nu suwos, ac kowos kukin orekma sulallal ac kutasrik.
Therefore the Holy One of Israel says, “Because you reject this word and trust in oppression and deceit and lean on it,
13 Kowos tafongla na pwaye. Kowos oana sie pot fulat ma srasrelik acn lucng nwe ten; ac tia paht na ac fah raki.
so this sin will be to you like a broken part ready to fall, like a bulge in a high wall whose fall will happen suddenly, in an instant.”
14 Kowos ac muliplipi oana sie tup kle — arulana musalsalu, oru wangin sie ip yohk kac fal in nwanak ipin mulut fol, ku sang utiya kof ke sie tacng.”
He will break it as a potter's vessel is broken; he will not spare it, so that there will not be found among its pieces a shard with which to scrape fire from the hearth, or to scoop up water out of the cistern.
15 LEUM GOD Fulatlana, El su Mutal lun Israel, fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Kowos fin twe foloko ac efalla in lulalfongiyu, na kowos ac fah ku ac okak na.” A kowos tia lungse oru.
For this is what the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel says, “In returning and resting you will be saved; in quietness and in trust will be your strength. But you were not willing.
16 Kowos tia foloko a kowos akoo kowos in kaingkin mwet lokoalok lowos fin horse na mui nutuwos. Pwaye suwos — fal kowos in kaing! Kowos nunku mu horse nutuwos an mui, a horse nutin mwet ukwe kowos ingan mui liki na!
You said, 'No, for we will flee on horses,' so you will flee; and, 'We will ride upon swift horses,' so those who pursue you will be swift.
17 Sie tausin suwos fah kaing ke kowos ac liyauk mwet mweun siefanna ukwe kowos, ac mwet lokoalok limekosr na fah fal in oru kowos nukewa in kaingelik. Wangin ma ac fah lula sin un mwet mweun lowos sayen sukan flag sokofanna fin soko eol.
One thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will flee until your remnant will be like a flagstaff on the top of a mountain, or like a flag on a hill.”
18 Ne ouinge, LEUM GOD El soano na in fahkak kulang ac pakoten lal nu suwos, mweyen El oru ma suwohs pacl e nukewa. Insewowo elos nukewa su filiya lulalfongi lalos in LEUM GOD.
Yet Yahweh is waiting to be gracious to you, therefore he is ready to show you mercy. For Yahweh is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
19 Kowos mwet su muta Jerusalem fah tia sifilpa tung. LEUM GOD El pakoten, ac pacl kowos wowoyak nu sel in suk kasru, El ac topuk kowos.
For a people will live in Zion, in Jerusalem, and you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When he hears it, he will answer you.
20 Leum El ac oru kowos in pula pac pacl upa, tusruktu El ac fah apkuran nu yuruwos in luti kowos, ac kowos fah tia enenu in sifilpa sokol.
Though Yahweh gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, even so, your teacher will not hide himself anymore, but you will see your teacher with your own eyes.
21 Kowos fin kuhfla liki inkanek uh nu layot ku lasa, kowos ac lohng pusral tukuwos su fah fahk, “Pa inge inkanek uh. Fahsr na kac.”
Your ears will hear a word behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
22 Kowos ac mau us ma sruloala lowos ma nukla ke silver ac ma su afyufi ke gold, ac kowos ac sisla ma inge oana ma fohkfok, ac wowoyak ac fahk, “Tiok liki ye mutuk!”
You will desecrate your carved figures overlaid with silver and your gold cast figures. You will throw them away like a menstrual rag. You will say to them, “Get out of here.”
23 Kutena pacl ma kowos yukwi fita sunowos, Leum God El ac supwama af in akkapye, ac kowos ac fah kosrani yohk, na ac yohk pac acn in mongo lun kosro nutuwos.
He will give the rain for your seed when you sow the ground, and bread with abundance from the ground, and the crops will be abundant. In that day your cattle will graze in broad pastures.
24 Cow mukul ac donkey ma pikin ima lowos fah kang wheat na nasnas ac wo.
The oxen and the donkeys, who plow the ground, will eat seasoned feed that has been winnowed with a shovel and a fork.
25 Ke len se ma ac sruhu nien muta ku lun mwet lokoalok lowos ac anwukla mwet we uh, infacl srisrik ac fah soror liki eol nukewa ac inging nukewa.
On every high mountain and on every high hill, there will be flowing brooks and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter when the towers fall.
26 Malem ac fah kalem oana faht, ac faht ac fah kalem pacl itkosr liki pacl nukewa, oana kalem lun len itkosr ke len sefanna. Ma inge nukewa ac sikyak pacl se LEUM GOD El ac pwelah ac akkeyala kinet El sang nu sin mwet lal.
The light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the sunlight of seven days. Yahweh will bind up the breaking of his people and heal the bruises of his wounding them.
27 Ku ac wolana lun LEUM GOD ku in liyeyuk yen loesla me. Firir ac fofosr fahkak kasrkusrak lal. El kaskas, ac kas lal firir oana e.
Look, the name of Yahweh comes from a distant place, burning with his anger and in dense smoke. His lips are full of fury, and his tongue is like a devouring fire.
28 El supu eng uh meet lukel oana sie sronot in pokla ma nukewa ac sukela mutunfacl uh, ac aksafyela lemlem koluk lalos.
His breath is like an overflowing torrent that reaches up to the middle of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. His breath is a bridle in the jaws of the peoples to cause them to wander away.
29 Tusruktu kowos, mwet lun God, fah engan ac on oana kowos oru ke fong ma kowos akfulatye kufwa mutal. Kowos ac fah engan oana elos su fahsr ke pusren on lun mwe on ke inkanek lalos nu in Tempul lun LEUM GOD, su loangela Israel.
You will have a song as in the night when a holy feast is observed, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to the mountain of Yahweh, to the Rock of Israel.
30 LEUM GOD El ac fah oru mwet nukewa in lohng pusra kulana lun wal lal, ac pula kuiyen kasrkusrak lal. Ac fah oasr firir, paka, af yohk kosra, ac af matol.
Yahweh will make the splendor of his voice heard and show the motion of his arm in storming anger and flames of fire, with windstorm, rainstorm, and hailstones.
31 Mwet Assyria ac fah tuninfong ke elos lohng pusren LEUM GOD, ac pula ke El kalyaelos ke soko sikal osra.
For at the voice of Yahweh, Assyria will be shattered; he will strike them with a staff.
32 Ke LEUM GOD El ac sringil na sringil mwet Assyria, mwet lal ac fah puok drum ac harp natulos in fal nu ke pusren sringsring uh. God El ac fah sifacna mweun lain Assyria.
Every stroke of the appointed rod that Yahweh will lay on them will be accompanied with the music of tambourines and harps as he battles and fights with them.
33 Oasr acn se nuna akoeyukla oemeet nu ke sie e lulap in esukak Tokosra Fulat lun Assyria. Acn sac loal ac sralap, ac yol in etong uh fulat nwe lucng. Mongin LEUM GOD ac fah oana soko kosran e in esukak.
For a place of burning was prepared long ago. Indeed, it is prepared for the king, and God has made it deep and wide. The pile is ready with a fire and much wood. The breath of Yahweh, like a stream of brimstone, will set it on fire.
