< Isaiah 24 >

1 LEUM GOD El ac fah kunausla faclu ac filiya in wanginla ma oan fac. El ac furalik fin acn uh ac akfahsryelik mwet fac.
Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad its inhabitants.
2 Mwet nukewa fah pulakin kain in ongoiya sefanna — mwet tol ac mwet uh, mwet kohs ac mwet kacto, mwet kuka ac mwet moli, mwet ngusr mani ac mwet sang mani, mwet kasrup ac mwet sukasrup.
And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.
3 Faclu ac fah sikiyukla ac mokutkuti. LEUM GOD pa fahk ouinge, na ac orek oana ma El fahk.
The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4 Faclu pulamlamla ac uli; faclu nufon ac munasla. Kewana faclu ac yen engyeng uh ac mwesri.
The earth mourneth [and] fadeth away, the world languisheth [and] fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5 Mwet uh aktaekyala faclu ke elos kunausla ma sap lun God, ac ke elos siakos wuleang se su El orala in oan nwe tok.
The earth also is defiled under its inhabitants; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Ouinge God El selngawi faclu. Mwet faclu elos eis mwatan orekma lalos. Pueni na mwet moul lula.
Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell in it are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
7 Ima in grape uh mwella, ac fahsr in lisr wain uh. Elos nukewa su engan meet, inge elos asor.
The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merry-hearted do sigh.
8 Wanginla pusren on kato ke harp ac drum.
The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
9 Wanginla on ac engan ke wain; emah uh mwen selos.
They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
10 Ma nukewa fohsak in siti uh, ac lohm nukewa lakiyuki, mwet koluk in tia utyak.
The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may enter.
11 Mwet uh wowo fin inkanek uh ke sripen wanginla wain. Engan ac pwar wanginla na pwaye liki facl se inge.
[There] is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
12 Siti uh musalla, ac mutunpot we kunausyukla.
In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
13 Ac fah pa inge ma ac sikyak nu ke mutunfacl nukewa fin faclu. Ac fah oana ke safla pacl in kosrani — wanginla fahko ke sak olive, ac grape nukewa kinkinla.
When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, [there shall be] as the shaking of an olive-tree, [and] as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
14 Elos su painmoulla ac fah alullul ke engan. Elos su muta in mutunfacl roto ac fah fahk lupan fulatlana lun LEUM GOD,
They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
15 ac elos su muta in mutunfacl kutulap fah kaksakunul. Mwet su muta wekof uh fah kaksakin LEUM GOD lun Israel.
Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, [even] the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.
16 Liki acn loessulana faclu kut lohng pusren on in kaksakin God lun suwoswos. Tusruktu wangin finsrak luk! Foroti insiuk! Mwet kutasrik tia tui in orek kutasrik, ac sulallal lalos uh koluk liki na meet ah.
From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, [even] glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe to me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yes, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
17 Porongeyu, mwet nukewa! Mwe aksangeng, luf loal, ac sruhf oan soanekowos.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare, [are] upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Kutena mwet su srike in kaingla liki mwe aksangeng inge ac fah putatla nu in luf loal, ac kutena su kaingla liki luf sac ac fah sruoh ke sie sruhf. Af upa ac fah kahkla liki kusrao, ac pwelung lun faclu fah kusrusryak.
And it shall come to pass, [that] he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
19 Faclu fah srasrelik ac muliplipi, ac ikakelik.
The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is entirely dissolved, the earth is exceedingly moved.
20 Faclu sifacna fah tukulkul oana mwet sruhi se, wactot wactma oana sie lac lohm in sie paka. Faclu sringelik ke koluk la; ac fah ikori ac tiana sifil tuyak.
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression of it shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 Pacl se ac tuku ke LEUM GOD El ac kalyei ku lun acn lucng, ac mwet kol lun faclu.
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones [that are] on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 God El fah orani tokosra uh nu sie in iktokeni oana mwet kapir in sie luf loal. El fah kalelosi in presin nwe ke sun pacl in kalya nu selos.
And they shall be gathered, [as] prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Malem ac fah lohsrla, ac faht ac fah tia sifil kalem, mweyen LEUM GOD Kulana El ac fah tokosra. El fah leum in Jerusalem fin Eol Zion, ac mwet kol lun mwet uh ac fah liye wolana lal.
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign on mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
