< Isaiah 21 >
1 Pa inge sie kas in fahkak ke acn Babylonia. Mwe ongoiya lulap ac fah tuku liki sie facl aksangeng, oana sie eng fohru ma pokla acn mwesis.
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.
2 Nga liye sie aruruma ke orekma sulallal ma ac sikyak, sie aruruma ke kutasrik ac kunausten. Un mwet mweun lun Elam, kowos sroang mweun! Un mwet mweun lun Media, kowos in kuhlusya siti uh! Mwe keok ma Babylon orala God El fah tulokinya in tui.
A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media [Middle-land]’s sighing.
3 Aruruma sac nwekyula ke sangeng ac ngal — oana sie mutan su keok in pacl in isus lal. Nga foroti ke ma nga lohng, ac nga tuninfongla ke ma nga liye.
Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have taken hold on me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t sh'ma ·hear obey·. I so am dismayed that I can’t see.
4 Nunak luk uh fohsak, ac nga rarrar ke sangeng. Nga salka in tari ekela, tusruktu ke ekela tuku nga sangeng mukena.
My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.
5 In aruruma sac, oasr sie kufwa akoeyuk; mwe loeyuk lohm elakelik nu sin mwet uh in muta fac. Na ke elos mongo ac nim, pusra na yohk se wola ac fahk: “Kowos, captain lun un mwet mweun, akoela mwe loeyuk lowos an!”
They prepare the table. They set the watch. They eat. They drink. Rise up, you princes, oil the shield!
6 Na Leum El fahk nu sik, “Fahla likiya sie mwet san, ac fahkang nu sel elan fahk kutena ma el liye.
For 'Adonay [Lord] said to me, “Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.
7 El fin liye mwet kasrusr fin horse tuku kais luo, ac mwet muta fin donkey ac camel, elan lohang nu selos akwoya.”
When he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness.”
8 Na mwet san sac wowoyak ac fahk, “Leum se, nga nuna tu san in se inge ke len ac fong.”
He cried like a lion: “Lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and every night I stay at my post.
9 Kitin pacl ah na elos kasrusr tuku fin horse, kais luo. Mwet san sac sulkakin, “Acn Babylon musalla! Ma sruloala nukewa ma elos alu nu kac fokfoki oan infohk uh.”
Behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs.” He answered, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon [Confusion]; and all the engraved images of her deities are broken to the ground.
10 Kowos mwet luk mwet Israel, sringsring kowos oana wheat uh, tusruktu inge nga fahkak tari nu suwos pweng wo ma nga lohng sin LEUM GOD Kulana, God lun Israel.
You are my threshing, and the grain of my floor!” That which I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· from Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], the God of Israel [God prevails], I have declared to you.
11 Sie kas in fahkak ke acn Edom pa inge. Mwet se pangma nu sik Edom me, “Mwet san, fukunyen fong uh inge? Fahkma lah ac lenelik ngac.”
The burden of Dumah. One calls to me out of Seir, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”
12 Na nga topuk, “Akuranna lenelik, tusruktu fong ac sifil tuku. Kom fin lungse sifil siyuk, kom tufah foloko siyuk.”
The watchman said, “The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.”
13 Sie kas in fahkak ke acn Arabia pa inge. Mwet Dedan, kowos su mutangan aktuktuk yen mwesis in Arabia,
The burden on Arabia. In the forest in Arabia you will lodge, you caravans of Dedanites.
14 sang kof nimen mwet malu su tuku nu yuruwos. Kowos mwet in facl Tema, sang mwe mongo nu sin mwet kaingla liki acn selos.
They brought water to him who was thirsty. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.
15 Mwet uh kaingkin cutlass ma akoeyukla tari in onelosi, liki mwe pisr ma akola in pisrikyuk, ac liki mwe sensen mukewa lun mweun.
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the heat of battle.
16 Na Leum El fahk nu sik, “Wolana lun sruf Kedar ac fah safla tukun yac na fal se, in oana ke sie mwet el eis molin orekma lal ke el akfalye yac nufon se.
For 'Adonay [Lord] said to me, “Within a year, as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the glory of Kedar will fail,
17 Inmasrlon mwet Kedar, mwet pisr lalos pa pulaik oemeet, tusruktu mwet na pu selos ac painmoulla. Nga, LEUM GOD lun Israel, pa fahk ma inge.”
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few; for Yahweh, Elohim Isra'el [He sustains breathing, God of God prevails], has spoken it.”
