< Isaiah 20 >
1 Ye sap ku lal Tokosra Fulat Sargon lun Assyria, captain lun un mwet mweun lun Assyria el mweuni Ashdod, sie siti in facl Philistia.
In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, ) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;
2 Yac tolu meet liki ma inge, LEUM GOD El tuh fahk nu sel Isaiah wen natul Amoz elan sarukla fahluk lal ac nuknuk yohk eoa ma el nukum. El akos ac forfor koflufol ac tia fahluk.
At the same time spoke the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
3 Ke pacl se sruoh acn Ashdod, LEUM GOD El fahk, “Isaiah, mwet kulansap luk, el forfor koflufol ac tia fahluk ke yac tolu. Ma se inge sie mwe akul nu ke ma ac sikyak nu sin Egypt ac Ethiopia.
And the LORD said, As my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years [for] a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Cush;
4 Tokosra Fulat lun Assyria el fah usla mwet el sruokya sin mutunfacl luo inge koflufolla som. Mwet fusr ac mwet matu elos fah fahsr koflufol ac tia fahluk, ac wangin ma afinyen kahpulos — sie mwe akmwekinye facl Egypt.
So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Cushites captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with [their] hind-parts uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
5 Elos su filiya lulalfongi lalos ke Ethiopia ac konkin ke Egypt ac fah oela, ac wanginla finsrak lalos.
And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Cush their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
6 Ke pacl sac ac tuku, mwet ma muta wekof uh in acn Philistia fah fahk, ‘Liye ma sikyak nu sin mwet ma kut lulalfongi in loangekut liki Tokosra Fulat lun Assyria! Kut ac moulla fuka?’”
And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such [is] our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
