< Isaiah 19 >
1 Kas in fahkak inge ma ke acn Egypt. LEUM GOD El ac tuku nu Egypt fin sie pukunyeng na mui. Ma sruloala in acn Egypt rarrar ye mutal, ac insien mwet Egypt uh munasla.
The burden of Egypt. “Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.
2 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Nga fah purakak mweun inmasrlon mwet Egypt Sifacna — tamulel ac fah lain tamulel, ac mwet tulan lain mwet tulan. Siti we ac fah alein sie sin sie, ac tokosra su alein ac fah amei in sukok lah su kac ac kol.
I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians, and they will fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 Nga ac fah akfohsyauk pwapa lun mwet Egypt ac oru in wanginla finsrak lalos. Elos ac fah siyuk kasru sin ma sruloala lalos, ac lolngok yurin mwet inutnut ac siyuk kasru sin ngunin mwet misa.
The spirit of the Egyptians will fail within them. I will destroy their counsel. They will seek the idols, the charmers, those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards.
4 Nga ac fah asang mwet Egypt nu inpoun sie tokosra sulallal ac koluk, su ac fah leum faclos. Nga, LEUM GOD Kulana, pa fahk ma inge.”
I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord. A fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, GOD of Armies.
5 Kof ke Infacl Nile ac sriksrikeni nwe ke na mihnla.
The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and become dry.
6 Acn ma kof tuh soror we meet ac mwesia nwe ke kolukla fohlo. Loa ac mah ma kap pe infacl uh ac fah masla,
The rivers will become foul. The streams of Egypt will be diminished and dried up. The reeds and flags will wither away.
7 ac fita, ac ma nukewa ma yukwiyuk pe Infacl Nile, fah paola ac ukukla.
The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.
8 Elos nukewa su patur ke Infacl Nile fah sasao ac tung. Ka ac kwa lalos ac wanginla sripa.
The fishermen will lament, and all those who fish in the Nile will mourn, and those who spread nets on the waters will languish.
9 Elos su orek nuknuk linen ac fah wanginla finsrak lalos.
Moreover those who work in combed flax, and those who weave white cloth, will be confounded.
10 Mwet otwot ac mwet pah in orala ma usrnguk ac fosrngala ac supwarlana.
The pillars will be broken in pieces. All those who work for hire will be grieved in soul.
11 Mwet kol lun Siti Zoan elos lalfon! Mukul ma arulana lalmwetmet in acn Egypt elos sang kas in kasru na sutuu ac lalfon! Elos ac fahk fuka nu sin tokosra lah elos ma in sou lun mwet luti fulat ac tokosra lun pacl meet ah?
The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings”?
12 Tokosra Egypt, pia mwet kasru lalmwetmet lom uh? Sahp elos ac ku in fahk nu sum ma LEUM GOD Kulana El akoo in oru nu in facl Egypt.
Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now; and let them know what the LORD of Armies has purposed concerning Egypt.
13 Mwet pwapa fulat lun siti Zoan ac Memphis elos lalfon. Fal in elos pa kol mutunfacl se inge, a elos sang kas in kasru na sutuu.
The princes of Zoan have become fools. The princes of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go astray, those who are the cornerstone of her tribes.
14 LEUM GOD El oru tuh kas in kasru lalos in akfohsyeak mwet uh. Ke sripa inge, ma nukewa Egypt el oru tafongla. Elos tukulkul oana sie mwet sruhi su musrela fin woht lal sifacna.
The LORD has mixed a spirit of perverseness in the middle of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all of its works, like a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
15 Wangin sie mwet fulat ku pusisel, kasrup ku sukasrup, in fahl Egypt su ku in kasru mutunfacl sac.
Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which head or tail, palm branch or rush, may do.
16 Oasr pacl se ac tuku ke mwet Egypt ac fah sangengtot oana mutan uh. Elos ac rarrar ke tuninfong pacl se ke elos liye lah LEUM GOD Kulana El asroela paol in kaelos.
In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of the LORD of Armies’s hand, which he shakes over them.
17 Mwet Egypt ac fah arulana sangeng sin mwet Judah ke pacl nukewa elos ac esamak mwe ongoiya ma LEUM GOD Kulana El akoo nu selos.
The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt. Everyone to whom mention is made of it will be afraid, because of the plans of the LORD of Armies, which he determines against it.
18 Ke pacl sac ac tuku, kas Hebrew ac fah orekmakinyuk in siti limekosr in acn Egypt. Mwet we ac fah oru fulahk lalos Inen LEUM GOD Kulana. Sie sin siti inge ac fah pangpang, “Siti lun Faht.”
In that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of Armies. One will be called “The city of destruction.”
19 Ke pacl sac ac tuku, ac fah oasr sie loang nu sin LEUM GOD in acn Egypt, ac soko sru eot ac kisakinyuk nu sel ke masrol se siska nu kutulap in acn Egypt.
In that day, there will be an altar to the LORD in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border.
20 Ma inge ac fah sie mwe akul lah LEUM GOD El oasr in facl Egypt. Kutena pacl mwet we elos akkeokyeyuk ac elos pang nu sin LEUM GOD in kasrelos, El ac supwala sie mwet in molelosla.
It will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of Armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour and a defender, and he will deliver them.
21 LEUM GOD El ac fahkulak sifacna nu sin mwet Egypt, ac elos fah etal ac alu nu sel, ac us mwe kisa ac mwe sang nu sel. Elos fah orek wulela ku nu sel, ac oru oana ma elos wulela kac.
The LORD will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day. Yes, they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and will vow a vow to the LORD, and will perform it.
22 LEUM GOD El fah kalyei mwet Egypt, tusruktu El ac fah akkeyalosla. Elos ac forla nu sel, ac El fah lohng pre lalos ac akkeyalos.
The LORD will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to the LORD, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.
23 Ke pacl sacn ac tuku, ac fah oasr soko inkanek lulap inmasrlon acn Egypt ac Assyria. Mwet uh ac fufahsryesr inmasrlon facl luo inge, ac elos fah tukeni alu.
In that day there will be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.
24 In pacl sacn, Israel ac fah wela pac Egypt ac Assyria, ac mutunfacl tolu inge ac fah mwe insewowo nu sin faclu nufon.
In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing within the earth;
25 LEUM GOD Kulana El fah akinsewowoyalos ac fahk, “Nga fah akinsewowoye kom, Egypt, mwet luk; ac kom, Assyria, su nga orala; ac kom, Israel, mwet solla luk.”
because the LORD of Armies has blessed them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”
