Hosea 6

1 Na mwet uh fahk, “Lela kut in folokla nu yurin LEUM GOD! El sekuti, ac El ac fah akkeyekutla. El kantekuti, tuh El ac fah pwelah kinet kacsr uh.

In their affliction they will seek me early, saying, Let us go, and return to the Lord our God; for he has torn, and will heal us; he will strike, and bind us up.

2 Inmasrlon len luo ku tolu, El ac akmoulyekutyak, ac kut ac sifilpa muta yorol.

After two days he will heal us: in the third day we shall arise, and live before him, and shall know [him]:

3 Lela kut in srike in etu LEUM GOD. Pwayena lah El ac tuku nu yorosr oana ke faht uh takak ke lotutang nukewa, ac oana ke af uh ac kahki meet liki pacl in fokla fokinsak uh.”

let us follow on to know the Lord: we shall find him ready as the morning, and he will come to us as the early and latter rain to the earth.

4 Tusruktu LEUM GOD El fahk, “Israel ac Judah, mea nga ac oru nu suwos uh? Lungse lowos nu sik uh sa na wanginla oana ohk ke kusrun len, ac oana aunfong su sa na in wanginla ke lotutang.

What shall I do to you, Ephraim? What shall I do to you, Juda? whereas your mercy is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew that goes away.

5 Pa inge sripa se sis nga supwaot mwet palu luk in fahkak kas in nununku ac kunausla nu suwos. Ma nga enenu suwos uh arulana kalem:

Therefore have I mown down your prophets; I have slain them with the word of my mouth: and my judgment shall go forth as the light.

6 Nga enenu lungse kawil lowos, ac tia mwe kisa ke kosro. Wona sik mwet luk uh in eteyu, liki na elos in orek kisa firir nu sik.

For I will [have] mercy rather than sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than whole burnt offerings.

7 “Tusruk, in pacl se na elos utyak nu in acn Adam, elos kunausla wuleang luk su nga orala yorolos.

But they are as a man transgressing a covenant:

8 Siti Gilead sie acn su tingtingi ke mwet koluk ac mwet akmas.

there the city Galaad despised me, working vanity, troubling water.

9 Mwet tol elos oana u in mwet sulallal su wikwik in soano mwet. Finne inkanek nu yen mutal in acn Shechem, elos orek akmas pac we. Elos pwapani in oru ma koluk inge nukewa.

And your strength [is that] of a robber: the priests have hid the way, they have murdered [the people of] Sicima; for they have wrought iniquity in the house of Israel.

10 Nga liye sie ma arulana koluk in Israel: mwet luk elos tiana pwaye nu sik ke sripen elos alu nu ke ma sruloala.

I have seen horrible [things] there, [even] the fornication of Ephraim: Israel and Juda are defiled;

11 “Ac nu suwos mwet Judah, nga oakiya tari sie pacl in kai nu suwos ke sripen orekma lowos.

begin together grapes for yourself, when I turn the captivity of my people.
