< Hebrew 5 >
1 Kais sie mwet tol fulat solla sin mwet uh ac srisrngiyuki tuh elan aolulos in kulansap nu sin God, in orek kisa ac mwe sang ke sripen ma koluk lalos.
For every high-priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins;
2 Ke sripen el sifacna el munas in ouiya pus, pwanang el ku in mongfisrasr nu sin mwet su nikin ac oru ma tafongla.
being able to be forbearing toward the ignorant and the erring, since he himself also is compassed with infirmity;
3 Ac ke sripen el sifacna el munas, el enenu in orek mwe kisa, tia nu ke ma koluk lun mwet lal mukena, a nu ke ma koluk pac lal sifacna.
and by reason of this infirmity he must, as for the people, so also for himself, offer sacrifice for sins.
4 Wangin sie mwet sifacna sulella in eis wal lun mwet tol fulat. Pang lun God mukena pa ac sulela sie mwet nu ke mwet tol fulat — oana ke tuh oayang nu sel Aaron.
And no one taketh this honor to himself, but when called by God, as was Aaron.
5 Oapana Christ — el tia sifacna sulella nu ke wal lun mwet tol fulat. A God pa srisrngilya ke El fahk mu, “Kom Wen nutik; Misenge nga Papa lac tomom.”
Thus Christ did not glorify himself to be made high-priest, but he who said to him, “Thou art my Son, I this day have begotten thee;”
6 El oayapa fahk in sie pac verse, “Kom ac fah sie mwet tol ma pahtpat, In oana Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
as also he saith in another place, “Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
7 Ke Jesus el moul muta faclu, el pre ac siyuk ke pusra lulap ac tung nu sin God, su ku in molella liki misa. Ac ke sripen pusisel ac inse pwaye lal, God El porongel.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears, to him that was able to save him from death, and was heard by reason of his godly reverence,
8 Tusruktu el ne Wen nutin God, el lotela in akos ke keok lal.
though a son yet learned his obedience from what he suffered;
9 Ke el aksafyela ma nukewa supweyukme el nu kac, el pa ku in sang molela ma pahtpat nu selos nukewa su aksol, (aiōnios )
and being perfected became the author of everlasting salvation to all who obey him, (aiōnios )
10 ac God El fahkla mu el sie mwet tol fulat, in oru orekma lun mwet tol oana Melchizedek.
being addressed by God as high-priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 Yohk ma kut ku in fahk ke ma se inge, tusruktu ac upa in aketeyuki nu suwos, mweyen kowos arulana selalkung.
Of whom we have much to say, and hard to be explained, seeing ye have become dull of hearing.
12 Fal tari pacl tuh kowos in mwet luti lac — a kowos srakna enenu mwet in luti kowos ke mwe luti ma fal nu sin mwet ma tufahna lohng ke kas lun God. Fal kowos in mongo ke mwe mongo keke, a kowos srakna nim titi.
For while on account of the length of time ye ought to be teachers, ye again have need that some one should teach you the first elements of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
13 Kutena mwet su srakna nim titi, el srakna tulik srisrik, ac wangin etu lal ke ma pwaye ac ma tia pwaye.
For every one that feedeth on milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness; for he is a babe;
14 A mongo ma keke u ma nu sin mwet matu, su ke orekma ac pahla lal, el ku in akilen inmasrlon ma wo ac ma koluk.
but solid food belongs to those who are of full age, who by use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
