< Hebrew 11 >

1 Kalmen lulalfongi pa kut etu suwohs ke ma su kut finsrak nu kac, ac oasr mwe akpwayeye lasr ke ma su kut tia ku in liye.
Now faith is the persuasion of the things that are in hope, as if they were in act; and it is the manifestness of the things not seen.
2 Ke sripen lulalfongi lun mwet matu lasr meet ah, God El insewowo kaclos.
And for it the ancients are well testified of.
3 Lulalfongi pa oru kut in etu lah kusrao ac faclu orekla ke kas lun God, ac tuh ma su ku in liyeyuk orekla ke ma su tia ku in liyeyuk. (aiōn g165)
For by faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God; and that things seen, originated from those that are not seen. (aiōn g165)
4 Ke sripen lulalfongi lal, Abel el tuh oru sie mwe kisa nu sin God su wo liki mwe kisa lal Cain. Ke sripen lulalfongi lal, God El insewowo sel ac oakalla mu el sie mwet suwoswos, mweyen God El insewowo ke mwe sang lal ah. Ke sripen lulalfongi lal, Abel el ne misa, ma el oru uh srakna kaskas nu sesr.
By faith, Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than that of Cain; and on account of it, he is testified of that he was righteous, and God bore testimony to his offering; and in consequence thereof, though dead he yet speaketh.
5 Ke sripen lulalfongi lal Enoch, oru el tia pula misa, a utukyak el nu yurin God. Wangin mwet ku in konalak, mweyen God El usalak nu lucng. Ma Simusla uh fahk mu meet liki utukyak Enoch nu lucng, el tuh akinsewowoye God.
By faith, Enoch was translated, and did not taste death; and he was not found, because God had translated him: for, before he translated him, there was testimony of him, that he pleased God.
6 Wangin mwet ku in akinsewowoye God fin wangin lulalfongi lalos. Tuh kutena mwet su tuku in alu nu sin God, el enenu in lulalfongi lah pwaye oasr God moul se, ac El oru wo nu selos su sokol.
But, without faith, a man cannot please God. For he that draweth near to God, must believe his existence, and that he will recompense those who seek him.
7 Lulalfongi lal Noah pa oru elan lohng kas in sensenkakin lun God nu sel ke ma ac tuku tok, su el tia ku in liye.
By faith Noah, when he was told of things not seen, feared; and he made himself an ark, for the life of his household; whereby he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 Lulalfongi lal Abraham pa oru el akos ke God El tuh pangnol elan som nu in sie facl su God El tuh wuleang mu El ac sang nu sel. El tuh som liki facl sel ac tia etu lah el ac som nu ya.
By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed, and departed to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance: and he departed, while he knew not whither he was going.
By faith, he became a resident in the land that was promised him, as in a foreign land; and abode in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
For he looked for the city that hath a foundation, of which the builder and maker is God.
By faith, Sarah also, who was barren, acquired energy to receive seed; and, out of the time of her years, she brought forth; because she firmly believed, that he was faithful who had promised her.
12 Abraham el finne apkuranna in misa, tulik puspis ac fwil puspis tuku kacl me, oana pisen itu inkusrao, ac pisen puk su tia ku in oekyukla weacn uh.
Therefore, from one man failing through age, numbers were born, like the stars in the heavens, and like the sand on the shore of the sea which is innumerable.
13 Mwet inge nukewa lulalfongi nwe ke na elos misa, a elos tiana eis ma God El wulela kac. Tusruktu elos liye ma inge ke oan yen loessula ac elos insewowo kac, ac elos sifacna fahk lah elos mwet sac nu in acn inge, ac mwet fahsr su muta sayen acn selos fin faclu.
All these died in faith, and received not their promise; but they saw it afar off, and rejoiced in it; and they confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 Elos su kaskas ouinge elos oru tuh in kalem lah elos suk sie facl su ac ma lalos sifacna.
Now they who say thus, show that they seek a city.
But if they had been seeking that city from which they came out, they had opportunity to return again and go to it.
16 Elos tia nunku ouinge, a elos kena konauk sie facl ma ac wo liki, aok facl se inkusrao. Ke ma inge God El tiana mwekin tuh elos in pangnol God lalos, mweyen El akoela tari siti se nu selos.
But now it is manifest that they longed for a better city than that, namely, for that which is in heaven. Therefore God did not refuse to be called their God; for he prepared for them the city.
17 Lulalfongi lal Abraham pa oru el eisalang Isaac, wen se natul, tuh in sie mwe kisa ke God El srikal. Abraham pa God El tuh orala wulela lal nu se ah, a Abraham el tuh akola na elan kisakunla wen sefanna natul ah.
By faith Abraham, in his trial, offered up Isaac; and he laid on the altar his only son, whom he had received by promise.
18 God El tuh fahk nu sel meet, “Fwilin tulik puspis nga wulela nu sum kac ac fah tuku kacl Isaac me.”
For it had been said to him, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
19 Abraham el tuh nunku mu God El ku in akmoulyalak Isaac liki misa, na kut ku in fahk mu Abraham el sifilpa eisal Isaac liki misa.
And he reasoned with himself, that God was able even to raise him from the dead: and therefore, in the similitude of a resurrection, he was restored to him.
20 Lulalfongi lal Isaac pa oru elan wulela nu sel Jacob ac Esau ke mwe insewowo su ac fah tuku in pacl tok uh.
By faith in what was to be, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau.
21 Lulalfongi lal Jacob pa oru el akinsewowoye tulik luo natul Joseph meet liki el misa.
By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and bowed himself on the top of his staff.
22 Lulalfongi lal Joseph, ke el apkuran in misa, oru elan sramsram ke som lun mwet Israel liki facl Egypt, ac ke ma elos in oru ke srel tukun el misa.
By faith Joseph, when dying, was mindful of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave direction concerning his bones.
23 Lulalfongi lun papa ac nina kial Moses oru eltal okanulla ke malem tolu tukun el isusla ah.
By faith the parents of Moses, after he was born, hid him three months; because they saw he was a goodly child; and they were not deterred by the command of the king.
By faith Moses, when be became a man, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.
25 El sifacna sulela in keok yurin mwet lun God, liki na in pwarkin ma koluk ke kitin pacl.
And he chose to be in affliction with the people of God, and not to live luxuriously in sin for a short season:
26 El nunku tuh el fin keokkin mwe akkoluk ma orek pac nu sin Christ, ac yohk sripa liki mwe kasrup nukewa lun facl Egypt, tuh el nunkala yohk ke ma lacne su el ac fah eis tok.
and he esteemed the reproach of the Messiah a greater treasure than the hoarded riches of Egypt; for he looked upon the recompense of reward.
27 Lulalfongi lal Moses pa oru el som liki acn Egypt ac tia sangeng ke kasrkusrak lal tokosra. El srunga folokla, mweyen oana elan liye God, su tia ku in liyeyuk.
By faith, he left Egypt, and was not terrified by the wrath of the king; and he continued to hope, just as if he saw the invisible God.
28 Lulalfongi lal pa oru el tuh oakiya Kufwen Alukela. El sap in mosrweyukla mutunoa uh ke srah, tuh Lipufan su ac uniya wounse mukul in fah tia uniya wounse nutin mwet Israel.
By faith, they kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, that he who destroyed the first-born might not approach them.
29 Lulalfongi lun mwet Israel pa oru elos in ku in fahsr sasla luin Meoa Srusra oana elos in fahsr na fin acn pao; ac ke mwet Egypt elos srike in oru oana, na elos walomla inkof uh.
By faith, they passed the Red Sea, as on dry land; and in it the Egyptians were swallowed up, when they dared to enter it.
30 Lulalfongi lun mwet Israel pa oru pot in acn Jericho tuh mukukla tukun mwet Israel elos fahsr rauni ke len itkosr.
By faith, the walls of Jericho fell down, when they had been encompassed seven days.
31 Lulalfongi lal Rahab, mutan kosro sac, pa oru el tia wi anwuki yurin mwet ma seakos God, mweyen el tuh kulang in kasru mwet kalngeyuk lun Israel.
By faith Rahab, the harlot, perished not with them who believed not, when she received the spies in peace.
32 Mea pac nga ac fahk? Sufalla pacl ngan srumun kacl Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, ac mwet palu ah.
What more shall I say? For I have little time to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Sampson, and of Jephtha, and of David, and of Samuel, and of the other prophets:
33 Ke sripen lulalfongi lalos elos tuh mweuni mutunfacl saya ac kutangulosla. Elos oru ma suwohs, ac eis ma God El wulela kac. Elos kaliya oalin lion uh,
who, by faith, subdued kingdoms, and wrought righteousness, and received promises, and shut the mouths of lions,
34 konela firir lulap, ac kaingkunla misa ke cutlass. Elos tuh munas, a ekla ku; elos pulaik ke mweun, ac kutangla un mwet mweun lun mutunfacl saya.
and quenched the force of fire, and were rescued from the edge of the sword, and were healed of diseases, and became strong in battle, and routed the camps of enemies,
35 Ke lulalfongi lun kutu mutan uh, elos sifil eis sou lalos ma misa ac sifil akmoulyeyukyak. A kutu mwet tia lungse in sukosokla, na elos lungkin in misa ke keok, elos in mau ku in sifil moulyak nu ke sie moul wo liki.
and restored to women their children, by a resurrection from the dead. And some died under tortures, and did not hope to escape, that there might be for them a better resurrection;
36 Kutu selos aksruksrukiyuk ac sringsring, ac kutu kapiri ke sein ac sisiyang nu in presin.
and others endured mockings and, scourgings; others were delivered up to bonds and prisons;
37 Ac kutu pac tatngal nu ke misa, kutu tahtaelik nu ke ip luo, ac kutu anwuki ke cutlass. Kutu forfor ac wangin ma in nukum sayen kulun sheep ac nani — elos sukasrup, akkeokyeyuk ac orek koluk,
others were stoned; others were sawed; others died by the edge of the sword; others roamed about clothed in sheep skins and goat skins, and were needy, and afflicted, and agitated;
38 ac faclu kupansuwolla nu selos! Elos forfor wel yen mwesis ac fineol, ac muta in luf pe eol uh ac luf infohk uh.
persons of whom the world was not worthy, and yet they were as wanderers in the desert, and in mountains, and in caves, and in caverns of the earth.
39 Arulana akilenyuk mwet inge nukewa in Ma Simusla ke sripen lulalfongi lalos. Tusruktu elos tiana eis ma God El wulela kac,
And all these, of whose faith there is testimony, received not the promise:
40 mweyen oasr akoo lun God nu selos ac oayapa nu sesr su wo liki. Ac akoo lal pa elos in wikutyang, tuh kut in tukeni aksuwosyeyukla.
because God had provided the aid for us; so that without us they should not be perfected.
